My mate and I decided to go for a pub lunch and he suggested Rochdale plus more importantly The Flying Horse. He drove as he rarely drinks and the weather was classic North West rain. However, the pub was warm and welcoming so we sat at a table next to the cosy open fire. While we there the fire was topped up with firewood on a regular basis, by a member of staff. I had a pint of Ossett White Rat beer and my mate had a pint of lemonade. We were served promptly by attentive pleasant staff. As I am a member of CAMRA , I showed my card and the beer price already reasonably price, was further discounted. See the picture of the large selection of hand pull beers and prices. We both decided to have a Lancashire classic: “Rag pudding”with proper chips, mushy peas and gravy. Normally £8.75 but two meals for £14! Another bargain! I had a second pint of beer, then we had a desert that was generous in size, served by a friendly young woman. On finishing our dinner it was time to go out into cold outside. Used the toilets that were clean as expected. I can thoroughly recommend this pub / restaurant

As someone who was born in Rochdale some 48 ish years ago I am not sure why I have never visited here. I expected to walk in the blood soaked walls with fights and drunken chaos. What I got was a warm, cozy pub with a wonderful atmosphere. That coupled with the nicest cheese and onion pie you could wish for left me smiling. Friendly staff too. Get your arse in here and soak up the place.

Great food menu with some good options on it for a decent price, and it tastes good too. Lovely staff, nice atmosphere during the day and even better at night. And there is also an big selections of drafts and casks.

At last there's more to Rochdale than tacky takeaways. This is the best Italian restaurant in Greater Manchester. The quality of the food is amazing. I can compare it to any of my Italian holidays. It's so authentic, just walking into the restaurant and the place looks Italian. The staff are really friendly and professional. Keep shining, a real gem of a place.

We celebrated New Year’s Day there with a fantastic late lunch. All 7 of us thought the food was excellent, and I was especially impressed with my gluten-free version of Spaghetti Gamberoni. Great service, lovely atmosphere and tastefully decorated & styled.

My children organised a surprise party for my birthday. I have been a regular visitor to the Toby since the mid 60s so I was delighted with their choice of venue. As usual the staff were very pleasant and extremely attentive. The menu was extensive and the meal was excellent. All in all a really excellent afternoon enjoyed by myself and my extended family.

Just returned from our family celebration of my dad’s 90th birthday. Everything was perfect . Everyone ordered different and not one complaint. The food was amazing and the staff !! Perfect afternoon. We will be back

Some of the best service I've ever received. Every member of staff were incredible. We were there for a family funeral and all I can say they made it as easy as it could be. The lady being the bar was incredible, the ladies who served us equally so. Thank you for everything!

The burger was ok, no different to any other smash burger place but lamb donner was amazing !! The price point wasn’t too bad as well and given the portion you get (massive). Two of us struggled to finish it off! Only downside is cash only but you can order on their website and collect!

I went twice to this place, and on both occasions, the food was spot on. I ordered the Smokey Brisky's and the chicken with nachos; both tasted great. I liked that, when I walked in on my first visit, I noticed they were playing non-instrumental songs, which made the atmosphere as halal as the food. However, on my second visit, I noticed they had songs on, so I hope they keep it consistent with their halal vibes. Keep up the good work guys.

Very fussy when we eat somewhere, spend money and don’t enjoy the food. This is our go too, we always say shall we just go to Briskys because we know the foods spot on, the price is good, the portion size is great, and everything just tastes beautiful. Coming from very fussy eaters! Recommended. The little sauces are nice as well. The salt and pepper tots I tried as well! Love.

I recently ordered a chicken box from here, and it was really good! The chicken was perfectly cooked with just the right amount of seasoning. The mango sauce 10/10 The portion size was generous, making it great value for the price.

Best players all round Manchester no doubt. I had double beef chicken burger. Was nice!! Fresh juicy soft delicious! I had Belgium waffle. Was very nice as well. Cheap! And massive! Staff proper look after costumer I feel like at home. No many places like that. Also this place is very clean not like other take aways. 10/10 from me. Highly recommend.

When coming to players I was met with a friendly hello and a heartfelt convo. The food itself was very good. They really know what they’re doing when it comes to food and desserts. Lovely, welcoming place and staff. Great service with not a long wait at all for food yet it was lovely and fresh. My 4 stars for service is I asked if I could take the food left away, the lady came back with trays and plastic bag and left them on the table, it would of been nice for her to take away and have done that, as others that did this there's was boxed and put in a coco bag for them. So apart from that it would of been a 5

What a fantastic place. Very welcoming, great staff. My friend took me, and he's regular, and I can see why. Tasty food, large portions. Down side .... I didn't have room for their famous desserts. I'm going again. Oh, did I mention the brilliant value for money. Well worth the 40 mile round trip from Huddersfield.

Can't recommend highly enough. I have visited before but first time experiencing the bottomless brunch. Absolutely amazing. The food beautiful and the best cocktails I have ever had. The setting is stunning, an old church turned restaurant, beautiful. The food was lovely as always, we had the ravioli to start which was different and tasty, it helps that starter portions are a thing with the pasta/risotto section of the menu. I had a fillet steak for my main meal, it was cooked beautifully - I thoroughly enjoyed every mouthful. Tiramisu for dessert topped the meal off. A lovely attentive team too!

Just had a very nice meal for lunch, food was very good, portion size fantastic and ours waitress, Chantelle was very friendly and chatty, also seemed very happy doing her job which is always nice to see. Thanks for looking after us. Price was very reasonable. They have a lunch time offer which we will be back to utilise again.

Took advantage of the 50% off food via the app. Lovely meal especially for the price. Service was a bit slow, understandably we had a lot of meat to be cooked but the place was very quiet and I thought 40 mins was a bit long. I did expect it to be a lot busier on a Friday tea time so the atmosphere was a bit flat and quiet . Having said that I would go again.🥂

Went to the Valentines Night Dinner last night. The whole experience was absolutely superb. We decided to stay the night and the booking in process ( around 5 pm) was excellent. A lovely, polite young lady on reception welcomed us and fully explained the procedures for the evening. The room was good and the little touch of rose petals and chocolates on our bed was really nice. The Rhydding room was decorated superbly, red heart ❤️ shaped balloons on every table ensured that the feel for the whole evening was set. The entertainment was first class. Thank you Royal Toby for making our Valentines Dinner so memorable. See you next year.

What’s not to love about a cosy pub with log fires, superb dining in the beautiful restaurant or the on site amazing Italian restaurant! The rooms are clean, comfortable and well equipped . The staff are just amazing !! So kind ,helpful , friendly and accommodating . The best value for money for food , ambience and high quality accommodation . I love my visits here.

Gorgeous hotel, one of the best for sure!! I stay away for work a lot and this hotel has everything I needed. Easy to get find, has a car park, has beautiful big clean rooms, and has Netflix which was a bonus!! The food is amazing!! You have the choice of two restaurants which both have amazing menus which made it really hard to choose between the two!! And a perfect fry up in the morning. Lastly every staff member we encountered were absolutely lovely and always helpful. Would recommend the royal Toby to anyone staying in the area.

Regal moon, situated in falling distance from the tram stop, stopped there on a trip out, very spacious, and a weatherspoons typicial enviroment. They would do well to find their cask marqe certificate or at least know what the certificate is. Nothing good, nothing bad, either.
