Best grilled meats this side of the Balkans! So happy to drop on this lovely Romanian grill in Oldham. Inexpensive and casual, yet made with care and attention. Delicate and fresh grilled meats; deliciously seasoned and cooked to perfection. As a bonus, the tv was playing songs by DJ Goja, undoubtedly the coolest Romanian artist! Will be coming again and again! 😀

Service don’t even have words to describe the way they pare attention to the small details you can tell that for them ,, costumer is priority Clean ?! nooooo it wasn’t just clean .. it was perfect ! 100% recommend!

If you are looking to eat fresh grilled Romanian stile dishes this is the place to go. We have been here today, the place is very clean, you can see where they cook, nice staff which explain to you what is the dish about. The portions are very big and the food , the meat taste amazing. The price is good is not high at all, for family of 6 we spend around 60 pound with drinks. I loved also that they ensure that we liked the food, and ask as if we have dietary restriction .Highly recommended! Amaizing

Packed Friday night but didn't struggle to book a table for 2 at 7pm a few days before. Every member of staff we encountered was absolutely 'on it' friendly and attentive, and the only time I had to ask for something was the cheque at the end. All 3 courses of food were delicious and I'd highly recommend this independent local restaurant over any well-known chain that you'd find near a cinema or city centre.

A gem! There are so many superlatives you could use, but let's get straight to the point here, it's just a great place. The food is superb, the service is equally as good and pricing is what you'd expect of a good Italian. Yes it's Ashton and they're charging Manchester prices, but you know what? Who cares when the food is of this quality? Genuinely one of the best Italian eateries around.

Absolutely divine!! If I could give more stars I would! We all went as a family meal for my sister in laws birthday. Clean, good atmosphere & Even though the restaurant was busy, the staff were very attentive & friendly, we didn’t have to wait too long for our food or drinks. The food was served nice & hot, you could tell fresh, quality ingredients had been used, well presented & tastes amazing!! Would highly recommend this restaurant.

First time visiting "The Old School BBQ Bus" an this place surely didn't disappoint!!! Lip smackingly good!!😋 Was on a mission for some barbecue as I had a right hankering for a good feed!! Have tried the likes of Red's & Hickery's bbq but fancied trying somewhere new - other places are good, but the same stuff is a bit repetitive.. I came across this place whilst searching online! An Well, I think this place has become the new go too!! Absolutely spot on! 🤩🤩 the food was amazing an im not jsut saying that. 🌭🍗🍖🥩🍔. This is probably some of the best bbq I had since being in the state 🇺🇸. Real true orthentic favours!! The meats has such a depth of smoke from being cooked low an slow, just take the bbq to the next level. 😍😍🍖 We tried the pitmaster for 2 as well as the spam fritters & Rattle snake bits 🐍 as a side.!! Thought this was the best option to get a feel for what they had to offer, as the menu is quite vast a bit spoiled for choice!! It surely doesn't disappoint that was for sure. The portion sizes are massive, Border line needed to be wheeled out was that full. Left with doggy bags for the bits we couldn't manage. Can confirm that kts just as nice the next day!! Nom nom nom 😋😋. Also, don't forget to check out there, "Hangman Sauce," it's not for the faint harted, that's for sure 🤯🥵🥵.. blow ya @#£# head off!!! 🤯🤯😭🥵🥵.. Seriously Seriously blows ya head off.!!! 🤯🤯🤯... 🌶🌶🌶🌶🔥🔥 Must admit this place is set in the most unlikely of locations, and not quite what ya expect!! Once your inside the main building, you are in a full-on American themed bar / restaurant!! Place is very rustic themed, all the cooking is done on an old school bus! Place very much dose carry a wood shack kind vib - like some deep rooted louisiana forgotten moon shine hut!! Seriously rustic, but dose add to the the whole experience.. Deffenlty be returning an getting our bbq fix!! Certainly be recommending to family & friends .. 🥰✌️..

Lovely little place, it was a warm day and they had fans blowing, the food was good, we had the sharing platter for two, it was a big portion size that we needed to pack in three takeaway boxes! Ribs were tender and well cooked, it could have had a bit more of a BBQ flavour but the tenderness made up for that. The platter came loaded with fries that were cooked perfectly. Something different and definitely worth a visit if you’re into American BBQ.

Came here few times, and the last time after having seen them on “Come dine with me: The Professionals”. The place is really good, reminds me of when i visited the US. Service was friendly. Food was really tasty and well cooked. Chef came out to ask us for a feedback as we ordered something that she only recently launched on the new menu, which, in my opinion, is a really good sign as they are open minded and wanting to improve. Our mixed meat platter was amazing. Says that feeds 2 but I’m sure it’s enough for 3 people. Great vegetarian options to choose from. Would definitely recommend.

Went this evening without a reservation and even though it was very busy they still managed to find us a table in about 10 minutes and kept us informed during the wait and could not have been nicer. The food was excellent- my wife wanted very mild Korma and it was perfect. All the staff were very friendly and engaging including the owner who was very professional and courteous. We will certainly be returning even though we are only visiting for a couple of weeks. Highly recommended.

Booked for a party of 45 for an 18th Birthday. Service and staff were great but it did take almost 1 hour to take the food order. Food did arrive in good time and the food was fantastic, we were informed we had over ran our 2 hrs booking (not informed it was a 2 hrs booking) but staff were polite and we cleared out. Have been several times also in smaller group and I think food, staff and value for money is fantastic.Very popular restaurant and car park will become hectic when busy.

Wow! We had our Christmas dinner here today, and what a lovely experience it was! The food is awesome and the staff can't do enough for you. The head waiter knows his stuff! Our bill came to £105 on Christmas day! I paid more than double that before for rubbish on Christmas day 🤷‍♀️. Absolutely will be back, thank you so much. The prawn cocktail was absolutely delicious and so worth every penny and more 😋

Myself and my mother stopped off for a spot of lunch. The food was amazing as always and our server, Estela, was a delight. She was so attentive, welcoming and helpful. We have seen her here before and she is always such a friendly and lovely member of staff.

3rd time coming to Miller and Carter in Ashton and never had a bad experience here! Thank you Jasmine for your service, you’ve been our server on 2 of our visits and both times very good! And thank you for picking my surprise desert! Absolutely delicious every time! Tried the Sunday dinner sharing plate this time and it was definitely on the list of top meals I’ve had.

Great visit! We were given a warm welcome on arrival. Seated quickly. All staff were friendly, efficient, hard working and super helpful. Our meal was gorgeous and served fresh, well presented and very tasty! Out waitress Estela is wonderful. She has waited on me several times. Every visit, her customer service, work ethic and friendliness is consistently of a very high standard. She works so hard to create a wonderful guest experience.

Amazing food as always at Lilys! They do a vegan paneer and it’s beyond incredible - I have since been back twice to have some more! I also recommend the Lilys Vegan sizzler (pictured) My 2 children loved the food here and the curry spice level can be adjusted for them which is great for fussy eaters! We also ordered some noodles from the indo-Chinese menu just incase the children found things too spicy, however that wasn’t the case and everything was devoured!

We came to Lily’s for our Valentine’s Day meal and it was wonderful! The service was extremely quick and all of the drinks and food came out fresh and delicious! All of the staff were so kind and attentive and made us feel very welcome. The curries we ordered were delicious, and our starters were too. Plenty of gluten free options available too. Would definitely recommend! 😄

The food here is incredible, eveything is clearly made fresh and to order! Very highly recommend. The atmosphere is really good (music isn't too loud etc), and finally the prices of the food is very reasonable, espcislly considering the portion sizes. A gem of Manchester!

Went out for a meal as a family group with young children. Mostly vegans. Restaurant is very family friendly. Casual. Large menu with many vegan options. Lots of choose from. Service was friendly and efficient. Food was fast, fresh and warm. Loved that we got fresh cutlery and warmed plates between courses. Ordered several things to share. Was amazing meal. Thank you to staff for making it a great evening.

From beginning to end, the experience was absolutely fantastic. Having become accustomed to haphazard service over the years, it was really a breath of fresh air to find somewhere that does customer service properly. Attentive, friendly staff serving some of the best food in the area. We had a great night and will be returning soon!

Chicken skewers, Pak choi and Thai green curry - quite spicy 🥵 Scampi and chips - very enjoyable Sticky toffee pudding and ice cream - what more can I say 👍🏻 Apple and pear crumble and custard - lovely

Called in on the off chance of getting a meal. 4 adults starters and mains, food was delicious, portions were something else. Only disappointment non of us had room for a dessert.😋 Staff were the most efficient any of us have had lately and certainly knew the menu.

A small group of us ate at the Kings Arms last week for a lovely catch-up meal. I'd read many of the reviews, so I was excited to visit myself, and it did not disappoint. The food we had was presented very well and the service was wonderful. We very much enjoyed our visit and would not hesitate to return if ever in the area.

Visited the Old Original for their Friday Steak night and we were not disappointed. Streaks were cooked to perfection with plenty of accompanying sides. The service was quick and friendly, the overall atmosphere was great just how pubs used to be and still should be.

Very friendly staff, recommend booking, car park not very big but can park on the road. Food choice amazing, curry night on Mondays, Tapas 5 dishes for £20 on Thursdays and Saturdays, set menu great value, lots of specials on the board both main and starters. Excellent choice of meals on the main menu, average prices, we had the Moroccan lamb , very spicy served with rice or chips and vegetables, generous portion, really tasty, food came quickly, seating outside but not dog friendly inside, didn't ask but they probably would allow dogs outside, best to check . A bit hard to find but we'll worth the effort, thanks to all the staff, and the Chef, your food was delicious

Tomato and roast pepper soup 10/10 Pea and ham soup 10/10 Gammon eggs chips 10/10 Steak and cheese pie 10/10 Massive let down was the mashed potato 🥔 really bland mash not buttery or creamy. We are looking forward to visiting again for the cheese and onion pie I just really hope the mashed potato is improved. The homemade soups were absolutely gorgeous the food was served piping hot, staff were lovely the service was fast even when super busy. It only works out £20-30 per person which is fantastic!

The restaurant’s design and atmosphere are absolutely stunning—5/5. The beautiful decor, relaxing music, and overall vibe create such an inviting and enjoyable dining experience. Even the design of the plates and the elegant presentation of the food added a special touch to the overall charm. That said, the service could use a little improvement. While the staff greeted us warmly upon arrival, they became less attentive after we were seated. Regular check-ins were rare, especially early on, and small details like having tissues on the table were overlooked. This was a bit surprising, as the service during previous visits had been much friendlier and more attentive. As for the food, it wasn’t quite as good as I had hoped this time. The portions seemed slightly smaller, the pasta was undercooked, and the spaghetti bolognese had too much garlic, which made it hard to enjoy. Unfortunately, a few hours after dining, we experienced some stomach discomfort and I personally had nausea, which hasn’t happened before in previous visits. In summary, the ambiance, food presentation, and overall design are exceptional, but with a little more focus on service and food quality, this restaurant could be truly amazing. Thank you!
