Three of us ate at the la mancha Friday evening, a very warm welcome (food was amazing thanks to the amazing female chef who works there) it was busy but didn't have to wait long for our food. This is our second time eating there since Christmas and will definitely be going back.

First time visiting here, every dish was amazing, fresh and so flavourful. Felt a little unwelcome upon walking in but this was more than made up for by the very friendly and attentive service by the waitress assigned to us. Atmosphere felt very authentic.

Food was amazing,good company, loved the lamb tagine, waitress very attentive, owner very relaxed

Been coming here for 16 years and never had a negative experience. Have recommend to family and friends who are now also regulars to the friendliest relaxed dining experience. Oh and the food is excellent as well!

So it was our Daughters 18th Birthday 🎂 🥳 🎉 🎈 🎁 meal and after reading all the great reviews on Google we decided to Book the Italian Room. So we booked a Table for the 6 of us for 19:00 hours, So we arrived and we were warmly greeted by a member of staff who showed us to our table. Restaurant had a lovely exterior and interior, Quite a Cozy dining room, After a few minutes we ordered drinks, We ordered Three pints of Moretti, Two pints of Coke and a glass of Merlot. For Food we ordered Olives 🫒 to share and a portion of Chicken and Chorizo skewers for mains we ordered Cannelloni, Pizza 🍕, Mussels in a creamy garlic sauce, 2x Prawn Gamberoni, Sea Food pasta with Two portions of Chips and a Cheesy Garlic Bread. Food was very well presented, Tasted amazing and was a perfect portion size, Food was honestly amazing so fresh and authentic Italian food, Service was absolutely fantastic and the staff were extremely accommodating and very polite and friendly and were extremely patient as we were up and down taking photos and videos while dinner service was taking place. The Full Bill was £250 that is for a Table of Six for our Daughters 18th Birthday meal with Plenty of drinks, Shots etc. We always give our honest opinion on pur experiences on Google and we have over 27,000,000+ Views. Then The staff came out with the Birthday cake 🎂 we brought and the staff came out with our Daughters cake singing Happy Birthday which was a lovely touch. Honestly We cannot recommend The Italian Room highly enough, We knew from the the fantastic reviews it was going to be amazing but honestly the Food, The Restaurant itself, The Service, The staff and the whole dining experience is Top Draw. 5☆ 5☆ 5☆ 5☆ 5☆

Can’t speak highly enough of this pub but I’ll try. If you’re looking for a great atmosphere, friendly service and outstanding food then this is the place. This is how pubs used to be before truffle sauce and butternut jus, just great tasting traditional grub. The Hare Burger was one of the best burgers I have ever tasted, I think it had Lancashire cheese along with proper bacon which just knocked it out the park. The lady serving was friendly and professional and a real pleasure to talk too, all this along with an honest and truly homely atmosphere and very reasonable pricing you can’t go wrong. I will be making this a regular eatery.

Just been in and had scampi an chips and 16oz steak best food we've had an the staff were fantastic

I had been there in the 80s with my brothers and cousin. Never thought I would be able to revisit. Great atmosphere, food and service. It's a bit out of the way for someone staying in Manchester, but if you find yourself in Bury on the Rochdale Rd, turn left onto Birtle Rd. You won't be disappointed.

Very nice and cozy pub. The food it was extraordinary… I started with the soup of the day and the Thai honey halloumi fries wich they was amazing and for the main I got the chicken schnitzel…. Food coma !!!! And all the tasty food made me go for a pudding aswell… really recommend it !!!!!

First time visiting here booked a table for my mother in laws birthday when we arrived they had put a nice message on a board saying happy birthday which was nice. The staff were all friendly and kind food was incredible we had starters spinach and potato soup main course the beef Sunday dinner and for dessert chocolate brownie. Prices for food were good and you get a lot. Definitely be going again. The pub itself is so nice very clean parking outside nice views going to be visiting here again in summer so we can sit outside.

Such a good pub , staff are the best here especially the long dark haired lady so so nice 💕 The food absolutely spot on had lamb shanks on bed crushed potatoes minted peas so very nice . Didn’t try the food but I could smell it and OMG 🫶🫶🫶 it smelled so seductive. The service was also good infact AMAZING HOHOHO. And may I need to talk about the amazing atmosphere IMMEDIATELY bricked.

Ate here for the first time today. Absolutely beautiful The pub inside is super nice and warm and welcoming. The staff are friendly and attentive We had the garlic bread starter with crispy chicken wings. Divine! We then had the Caesar salad and fish and chips with curry sauce which was delicious. Highly recommended 🥰

Incredible standard of food with the most welcoming staff and atmosphere. The summer special seafood platters are definitely superior to similar food I've experienced in many UK seaside spots and restaurants. It's just marvellous! The standard and quality of Oxford's regular menus are also way above the general standard of many pubs claiming to offer the 'best' home cooked food. I'm a good cook myself and very fussy about paying for food that I often feel I can produce better at home. But when I visit 'The Oxford', I feel relaxed and confident that I am getting a really welcome and high-quality treat. Their 'specials' are always different and extensive, which makes the menu even more exciting. This review is not based on a one-off visit, but due to family circumstances, we visit regularly every fortnight. One of our family is also gluten intolerant, and one of the main reasons we come here is because he is always given a decent and imaginative choice of food. The quality is always consistent, which says a great deal about the standards and expectations set by the excellent hosts/owners and the lovely staff they employ. Highly recommended experience. Definitely go and try it... but if it's Friday or the weekend... book to avoid disappointment! Well done, Team McNeeney!

Amazing service! Amazing food! Couldn’t have asked for a better evening with my family. Staff were always there when you had a question or just to simple ask you how you are and to get to know you. Food was outstanding and atmosphere was great. Can’t wait to go again!

Couldn't fault any aspect of our visit today. The Christmas menu was imaginative and cooked to perfection. All staff friendly but professional Beautiful decorations especially in the grounds Good value for money too

We visited the Pavilion bistro last night with a party of 16 people for a 40th Birthday. Our party sat in the garden room which was beautifully decorated with a lovely warm fire. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left the staff were incredible, everyone commented on their professionalism, nothing was too much trouble and EVERYTHING was perfectly organized ! The food was absolutely fabulous and presentation was immaculate ! Compliments to the chef ! I can’t recommend this restaurant highly enough, it is perfection in every way. Thank you for making our special occasion even more special than we imagined it was going to be !

Paid £40 for a 3 course meal and drinks. Always love a date with the girls here. The profiteroles were delicious highly recommend. Service with a smile as always. We love the staff and been going for years. Must be a good place to work as no staff turnaround.

Lovely Bistro set in a beautiful location. The staff were super friendly and I would've eaten everything on the menu, great choice for everyone! We revisited this evening and were not disappointed. I would however like to mention a certain member of the serving staff. I don't know his name, he has a beard and we have been lucky enough to be served by him on several occasions. He has a fantastic way with customers, very knowledgeable of the food and local area. He just makes our visit special and is an asset to the restaurant!

Absolutely stunning! I was treating my friend to a birthday meal and honestly we were treated like royalty! The manager, Johnny, was lovely and all the staff were so helpful. Even the dessert chef made the effort and sent out a birthday plate. We will definitely be going back! The cocktails made by Sally & Tom were also to die for!! Now home, pjs and sleep for me! We ate so much! 🐷

Great restaurant with a lovely setting and lovely views from their window front upstairs. The menu was refreshing and a good price for a set menu on a Sunday. We started off with cocktails which were delicious and including the mocktails! The white onion soup starter was one of the nicest soups I’ve tasted in a while! The Sunday roast was perfect, my beef was cooked to perfection and we were stuffed by the end! The desserts were also nice from what we managed after being full up! In particular we enjoyed the deconstructed tiramisu. Unfortunately my mother had a medical emergency after the meal due to an illness, it was quite scary and required an ambulance (she’s ok now). The staff were absolutely incredible during this, phoned an ambulance, kept everyone calm and directed the paramedics upstairs so I’m very thankful to them and they’re a testament to the company!

Had a birthday meal there with family on01/02/25. Lovely place, service was excellent especially Alex in the downstairs bar, so friendly and couldnt do enough for us. Definitely going back soon. Would definitely recommend this place

Just had an amazing new year's eve meal at La Scala. First time we have been and we would definitely be going again. Friendly attentive staff brilliant service with amazing food

Much bigger than you initially think when you dine here. Went on a Saturday night and the place was packed. Lots of people busy tables etc. Staff were very pleasant and friendly. On the downside, our booking was for 5 people not 3. No tables. Waited just over an hour for a table and a further hour for our meal. Certain menu items had run out. We were asked what deserts we would like, when we hadn't even had our main course!! A gentleman served us our food or shall I say 'shoved' our plates at us. He must have been having a bad evening. The young girl server's were extremely nice, removed plates and cutlery etc whilst smiling at us all the time, I must highlight their good manners and service. We were overcharged for items we did not have. However, I did say they were extremely busy. We had some cocktails and they were delicious! The food was also very nice. City centre prices to mention. We would go back for a comparison visit because the food was good when we eventually received it. Unfortunately, it was our first visit and found it to be extremely chaotic.

Very nice food, very busy place makes for a great atmosphere. My first time visiting and was very impressed. Clean plates all round is a sign of good food and that's what we had!

The first time I went we were a party of six and everything was amazing I couldn’t fault anything the food the service the wait time it was all perfect although the second time I went the waiter was very dismissive he didn’t right our order down and due to allergies I’m unable to have garlic and onion he seemed to be confused at our order but went away anyway then when the food arrived there was quite a few things wrong with it but then we got another waiter and they were amazing super understanding and really apologetic. Overall I really enjoyed my visit to this restaurant and would absolutely go again.

Great place for a Birthday dinner! We visited at the weekend for a Birthday dinner. The restaurant was mostly people visiting for Birthday celebrations and it was very busy, so please make sure you book in advance to avoid disappointment! All of the starters we had were delicious and the pasta I had was amazing! I absolutely recommend the pasta - I've never had a pasta that good before! The staff were all really good and very helpful with menu choices. Definitely worth a visit!

We were a tabke of 9 for a birthday. The staff were awesome. Very welcoming, very jovial and took care of us well. The food was phenomonal. I always have my steak blue but its rare that its ever served that way when i eat out. At Il Vecchio it was perfect. The chef really knows what he is doing. Additionally, for the great service and the amazing food, the price was very reasonable. 10/10. Would recommend everyone eats here

Love this restaurant. We always gather here as a group of over 12 family members young and old. The food is fabulous, the service is brilliant. They never fail to make us feel welcomed and special.
