We stopped for some quick lunch and had jacket potato and avacado on toast. The owner/manager was great and a special thanks to him for remembering my hat!

We went here with our dog for breakfast and were very impressed. We have an eggs royal and the veggie breakfast, both if which were generous and delicious for the price. Really good to have a great veggie breakfast where so many places just do meat and vegan now! Very welcoming and busy / nice bustle on a Saturday morning. Will be back 👍🏼

What a fantastic evening at The Three King's last night! The food was amazing, freshly cooked to order, succulent meat, char grilled veg and a banging home made hot sauce. The owner and staff were very friendly and welcoming and chatted with us which made the evening all the more enjoyable. Great value for money and somewhere we will definitely return too.

A lovely little pub with some great cask beers and incredibly friendly and helpful staff. I stayed in one of their rooms which was perfectly acceptable and good value for money. Great selection of traditional pub grub as well.

We attended the Charlton inn for a last minute Sunday lunch. It was incredible large portions and food was delicious, meat was so tender. staff are very helpful, lovely cosy atmosphere. Booking is therefore advised.

Stayed here for 2 nights with family, had 4 rooms. Had an evening meal in the pub which was beautiful, plentiful and tasty. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The rooms offer everything you need but they definitely need a bit of TLC.

We were visiting family in Blandford during November 2024 and decided to try the Charlton Inn for an evening meal. The choice of food was extremely good they also had a number of vegan options for the wife. The service, the atmosphere, the staff and the food was excellent. We was also allowed to stop over in their carpark in our motorhome, which made the evening even better. Would highly recommend it. In fact we are hoping to return in December.

We meet with friends on Sunday for lunch, and all went for the burgers. These were as per our other visits, amazing. We did see a few roasts go out, and questioned our choice, as these looked incredible. The staff were friendly and provided some really good banter, to make it a great atmosphere. At the end, the Landlord place a huge plate of the lovely Yorkshire pubs on the bar for anyone that wanted one for free. Our friends were extremely impressed and will most certainly be going back.

Had a delicious Roast Beef lunch here today. Couldn’t fault it! Reasonably priced. Fresh. Cooked to perfection and extremely tasty. Enjoyed every mouthful. The best I have had in a very long time. Will def return!

Out on my bike today and needed a coffee. I was on some quiet roads andso was very happy to come across this bar, cafe, restaurant. It looks very nice inside. Today was only for a coffee but also had a homemade sausage roll which turned out to be beautiful. The guys warmed it up for me too!. I was disappointed that they didn’t have skimmed milk but as I was on a long ride it was all good. The coffee was, however, very nice, they made it extra hot for me and made it in a larger cup which was more cappuccino style. Price for the 2 was £7.25. The place was popular with people having meals out in the sun and other cyclists. Plenty of parking. I’d love to return.

Visited this pub on a cycling trip. Had a warm welcome on arrival. Menu was really good and lunch bar snacks were great. Fish finger sandwich was just delicious. Proper cod fish fingers, really delicious. Bar man filled up our water bottles with fresh cold water that was most welcomed. All in all what an amazing village pub. Well worth a trip out for the food.

Loved the outdoor trailer style coffee shop, lovely service and tasty cakes and coffee at a reasonable price. Inside the restaurant looks like it would be a great place for an evening meal and I shall return to try. Also a fantastic location with public toilets nearby and parking nearby.

5 Stars Popped into The Boathouse on a Saturday afternoon with my mother and father for a spontaneous meal. We received a warm welcome and were seated straight away, which was a lovely start to our visit. We opted for the set menu, which included French onion soup, Christmas turkey, and dessert. Every dish was delicious, and the flavors really stood out. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting. A wonderful experience overall—we’ll definitely be back. Lovely restaurant in beautiful Christchurch. We had brunch here, and it was lovely. The staff were all accommodating and friendly. We had avocado on toast, eggs benedict, and breakfast bap and it was gorgeous. Prices were also very good and reasonable. Highly recommended and would go again.

WOW what a beautiful pub, great service and very good food. Perfect stop off. Also allows dogs inside. Thanks for a great visit. Will definitely be back when we head West again.

We stopped off for lunch here between destinations based on Google reviews and it did not disappoint. Great setting - a real gastro pub. Thatched. Very rustic decor. Lovely staff - very accommodating - and fabulous food. Great value for money. Would definitely recommend.

Had a family meal today. Seven of us. Some chose from the Christmas menu and some not. The food was delicious and hot. The service was great too. They were happy to allow us to pay for what each couple had. There were crackers on the table and they were fab, each had the usual hat and joke in but it was the little gift that was lovely. We each had a cardboard tree decoration which could be easily assembled and was very sturdy. This was our second year for our meet up and we shall be going again next year.

Service with a smile and a jolly atmosphere inside. Visited for food only and did not stay overnight. My partner and I both had the house burger which was to die for! A solid and tasty beef patty in a toasted bun with a bucket of fries is always a winner! 🍔 🤩 Passing visit for a quick stop to eat after a long drive. Easy access with plenty of parking.Was busy when we visited so service was slower than we would normally expect. Slightly on the more pricey side.

Every single member of the team at The Crown Blandford have gone out of their way to accommodate our large family group. The food has been exceptional as are the rooms which are beautiful and spotless. The food at every meal has been amazing. At dinner, every single plate for our large group came out at the same time and was piping hot and delicious. We were well looked after and checked in on regularly. The welcome is warm and friendly and every part of our requests were accommodated including providing an accessible room for a family member needing a lift and a room with support. Reception did a great job of coordinating our group and helping with all of our requests. The bar staff also did really well to help us as we ordered drinks throughout the day. Thank you so much to everyone at The Crown ! We are very grateful and can’t wait to bring our family group back to see you !

Me and my husband got married here in April and it was honestly the most perfect day we could have possibly imagined! Laura (best wedding planner ever) went above and beyond to make sure it was perfect, nothing was too much to ask. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a wedding venue 🤍

My wife and I booked for one night's stay at the Crown Hotel recently, as it looked very nice and the price was more competitive than other hotels within this region. It's a beautifully maintained Georgian building in nice location, offering us easy access to numerous locations we wanted to visit in Dorset. We needed a second night's stay added, which was sorted out very easily and all prices, including our breakfast were clarified at reception. The staff were all pleasantly professional and the food choice was very good and of high quality. The room was clean, with a touch of character in line with age of building and had everything to make our stay comfortable. We were disturbed on second night by another guest's barking dog, although this was brief. Parking space is abundant and easy to access. There's also a very big beer garden outside hotel, which looked a popular feature in the sunny weather. Overall, generally pleased with our stay at the Crown and would recommend to others.

Had the Veal schnitzel served with an anchove, fried egg, green beans, mashed potato and some very tasty gravy. The gravy was so nice that I asked for a little extra and the friendly staff duly obliged. All in all a very enjoyable meal.

Stayed at the cockerel for a night when exploring the new forest. This is THE BEST spot for an authentic pub. Hosts were really welcoming and loved the quirky features inside and out. Food was also delicious! Wish I could give more stars!!!! 10/10

The Cockerel is an absolutely pub located out the back of wimbourne. It’s nicely hidden away but a lovely location to be. The pubs service was amazing, the bar tender was funny and charismatic and was a joy to be served by. The food was incredible, great prices and really tasty! There was also a fire on for the duration of our meal which gave the pub a really nice atmosphere. The pub is quite small so make sure to book in advance!

A lovely lunch, returning as we did after experiencing a splendid group dinner a few weeks earlier. The Lobster bisque is wonderful. A community run pub in a quiet Dorset village. Ideal.

We have just met some friends for Sunday lunch at The Cockerel. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. We had a lovely table that was not crowded or too close to other people. The Sunday roast was excellent. Beautifully cooked beef, six veg , roast potatoes and an enormous Yorkshire pudding. The vegetarian option was a mushroom and spinach wellington which was really tasty. We all had sweets which were equally good. We will definitely make the trip out to this fantastic pub again. Atmosphere nice, waitress lovely and friendly. £17 for a double gin and a pint seemed steep. Food delicious however not much as to portion size. I would come back if the menu was a bit more wider, not much choice. I only liked 2 things on the menu, would love to see jacket potatoes as an option with a side salad! Too hot for hot meals this year of the year.

Having passed The True Lovers Knot many times we had a chance to stop off there today. It’s a true old fashion pub with a log burner which was alight and we were lucky enough to get a table right next to it. We were hoping to have a Sunday roast. Because we hadn’t booked a table we thought we were out of luck. However they were very accommodating and said we could have the table till 14.30 which was fantastic. We ordered two roast turkey dinners which come with all the trimmings and was absolutely delicious. You definitely won’t leave feeling hungry. We will definitely return but make sure we book. Food is lovely, we had 3 courses. Very welcoming pub. Staff are friendly and helpful, cute room too, a little chilly but the heater works. Would stay again!

Popped in here with kids on way back from the beach. I'm old fashioned and do appreciate the bar staff giving it some 'I'll be with you in a moment' patter when I approached the bar. Acknowledgement. Nice. The service was friendly and more importantly the lemonades and shandy were ice cold. Kids could happily play on the crazy golf style gravel at the top of the beer garden. Can't comment on rooms or food but it felt a good place to be.

Great pub....a gold star in the heart of Badger Beer....helpful staff....quirky layout....modern yet comfy and old....food was amazing especially the chicken gravy....defo come again❤️🍒❤️
