Fantastic service! Darren really went out of his way to help us. Our back door mechanism broke and we found that because it was put together during Covid the parts couldn’t be got hold of anymore. Long story short, after speaking with multiple different sources, Darren managed to get us a like for like replacement and brought it straight over and got it done! Even though this was a frustrating experience for everyone, he remained kind and helpful throughout and didn’t charge us any extra even though he had to come out three times - would recommend!

Darren was extremely helpful to replace our front door mechanism & locks aswell as a new back door handle. Always very punctual & polite and was very responsive on all communication, would thoroughly recommend!

I contacted Brian & Steven to do an emergency lock change. Midway through leaving an answer machine message, a friendly voice emerged from the phone line, and Steven said they’d be able to make it to us by the early afternoon. The team did a fantastic job. We had a front door emergency last week, I called this number as it was at the top of my google search .. a kind lady called Christine answered at 12.48pm, gave me quote/info and her husband Brian was here with me .. by 1.08pm!!! He changed the gearbox on door, serviced it, gave us an invoice and was gone by 1.28pm .. UNDER 1 HOUR = wow!!!!!! That is impeccable timing and outstanding service. Price wise, I compared to 2 other local companies and can confirm Brian & Christine charge the same as everyone else (it seems to be a “standard fee of around £70/£75 for most locksmiths call out fee). I can’t express enough how happy I was with this entire experience .. considering I was panicking at home with a new born baby and couldn’t lock my front door.. and needed to get out urgently for an appointment. I contact ALS as the Yale type lock was not operating and I was locked out. They attend within 20 minutes and gained access. They lock had worked loose causing the issue. They tightened all the loose parts and all worked perfectly. They were very professional and polite. I would highly recommend ASL locksmiths and the well stocked shop which I have previously used . I needed a reliable local locksmith to sort a problem with my UPVC back door. After trying to fix it myself I realized the problem needed more skills than I had as internal mechanisms within the door were broken. A quick call to ALS soon had an appointment the following day and after 1 and a half hours work, I had a new system installed and a door that once again locked and worked properly. Very prompt and friendly professional service. The problem with the lock quickly diagnosed and repair by replacement carried out with spare carried by locksmith. The locksmith was considerate to use handle tools so my sleeping partner would not be disturbed by electric screwdriver.

Very reasonable prices, called when on en-route so I could return home (locked out with no easy access to internet or phone). The gentleman was very professional and opened by door within seconds, with no damage. I was worried about setting up a new payee on my banking system but he had a card payment machine, so payment was easy. All in all a fantastic service for a reasonable price. Excellent service end to end. I called David because we were locked out of our house and we had some specific personal circumstances that I made him aware of. He was very professional, prompt and came to our rescue within 15 minutes. He was able to open the door and then replaced the faulty mechanism for us. His service was excellent, would definitely recommend him. Everyone locally must save his contact details in case of emergency. You never know when you will need good local service. Don't bother trying to ring emergency locksmiths, I tried before I called David and they were unable to help!

I contacted Link Locksmith Services with an enquiry about fitting a Key Safe. The quote for a good, solid piece of kit was acceptable and Ian turned up inside a couple of days to install it. Job done I then mentioned that a uPVC door was causing some grief and Ian offered to have a look. For a small additional fee he fixed both that problem and also sorted out another set of uPVC doors there and then. Have to say that I'm delighted with Ian's work. Thoroughly recommended.

When my front door wasn't operating properly, I contacted Link Locksmiths and received a reasonable and well-explained quite over the phone. What a fantastic service and such incredible value for money! It was a complex job (sorting out two windows where the lock had atrophied locked shut) and Norman sorted it out very quickly and at a phenomenally low cost. I was expecting a much bigger bill, considering the work involved. I recommend Norman to anyone else in the Caversham/Reading area and will definitely look to use him again, if needed. Customer service was just great. Payment via card was simple as well.

The lock on a large roof box was stuck, two days before a holiday. Within minutes, Roland Security had identified the type of key and cut new ones.
