We had a job to get someone to transform our 1960's staircase. Nobody seemed interested. Found Nick on the Internet. We are based near Maidstone, Nick was based in Edenbridge , bit of a trek, but not a problem. Made a really nice job on a tricky staircase, also made cupboards under the stairs

Nick listened to my ideas and made it a reality. His workmanship is top class along with his attention to detail. Would highly recommend for your stair renovation without hesitation.
Nick did an incredible job with refurbishing. our staircase. During the initial discussions, Nick offered lots of ideas on the type of wood and style, and we decided on ash & glass. Then, during the actual refit, Nick was fantastic. Not just the professional carpentry work, which was first class, but he always cleaned up at the end of every day, and he never left us in a potential dangerous situation, even though the bannisters were replaced. Most importantly, the final completed staircase was amazing, Nick's attention to detail is something you rarely find now. We can not recommend Apples & Pears highly enough to anyone looking to replace/refurbish their staircase.
TBH, I'd written my review but then had a look at other's and realised I'm not alone . . . . we had an older staircase replaced and it's transformed the feel of the house. The only reason I've not posted photos is that the staircase now shows up how much we need the hallway decorated! I'll post some photos when that's done.
Apples and Pear's work is outstanding. Nick's workmanship, attention to detail and professionalism are top drawer, as his insistence on clearing up after himself every day.
