Although we didn't go ahead with A-Spec for our side-return extension, we were very impressed with Jonathan and how we approached quoting out the build. He was responsive and detailed, so would have no hesitations getting him to quote out future projects.

I used A-Spec to replace our front and side door recently. They were able to get high quality doors with custom spec (colour, matching frame, door furniture) at very competitive pricing. Luke did a brilliant job and made replacing the doors look very easy despite the old doors being a nightmare to take out. We’re delighted with the doors and the job done. Any issues we had with the doors when they were delivered has been no trouble to resolve either, with helpful and willing responses

A-Spec team were professional, tidy, showed great attention to detail throughout the project and an absolute pleasure to work with. We are extremely happy with final results! Would 100% use their services again and highly recommend.

I have been working with Mick on the renovation of my property for over a year and he has carried out many projects including panelling in my daughter’s bedroom and alcove cupboards and floating shelves in a playroom. However, Mick’s assistance in transforming our hallway deserves a review on its own! After being badly let down by a local building company, Mick came in and helped us create the hallway of dreams! We consulted with Mick about how best to create the hallway we wanted and worked together to create designs and source products. Mick completed a new hallway cabinet and matching shoe cupboard, panelling, picture rail, skirting boards and internal doors. The results are outstanding and has completely transformed our hallway. Mick is incredibly talented as well as a true professional and we have already recommended him to all of our local friends.

Hybrid Carpentry did an amazing job transforming our stairs! Mick replaced the carpet with beautiful oak treads and white risers. The team was professional and detail-oriented. We couldn’t be happier with the results—our stairs look stunning!

Mick completely transformed our garage into an excellent usable space. We consulted Mick at the outset of the project and he project managed from start to finish including organising separate contractors for plastering and electrics. Mick also provided advice on potential designs for the garage storage and helped with the procurement of products for the storage. Mick is always incredibly responsive, diligent, a perfectionist in his work. He is also incredibly tidy in a workspace! We can’t recommend Mick enough!

Michael has helped us to update and transform many rooms in our house, adding much needed storage solutions for the bathroom, washer and dryer cupboard, staircase and alcove cupboards. His attention to detail and problem solving is first class, so much so that we’re already booked in for some fitted wardrobes in 2x rooms.

Ollie and team built a great looking, quality, home garden office room/building. Built to a really quality spec that will last a long time, this professional team completed the build on time, and price. Ollie was flexible where I wanted to add some small extras and increase the size a little; a true bespoke build. I cannot recommend Oliver Smith Carpentry more highly. He and his team are part of a new generation of professionals - fastidious, careful, super-professional and serious about their work, unquestionably trustworthy, always cleaning up at the end of the day. We just wanted our garage converted into a useable space, what we now have is a fabulous room - thoroughly insulated, fireproof, airy, pleasant and handed over niggle free. It's a pleasure to be in there. All through the process (only 3 weeks) Oliver and his team worked hard, always on time, always calm and responsive to our requests and last-minute changes of mind. I just wish we had more projects for him to do as I'd book him like a shot. (and, truthfully, this is an unbiased review - we did not know Oliver before this job).

Matthew and his team designed our master bedroom and dressing room wardrobes. From the initial meeting with Matthew at his workshop, to the completion, the whole team have been professional, timely, efficient and friendly. The process has been very smooth with information regarding installation dates being communicated frequently. Upon completion of the wardrobes, we decided that we needed an understair cupboard and Matthew obliged! All of the furniture looks very in keeping with our cottage, is of excellent quality and finish. We cannot recommend Matthew Roberts Carpentry highly enough.

Matthew has been really supportive and patient as we went through the design process for our bookcase. Visiting his workshop and going through all of the options was really useful and helped us understand exactly what we were after, especially seeing where the work would be done. Now the bookcase has been installed we could not be happier and the quality of the work is excellent. I would whole heartedly recommended Matthew for his carpentry.

In writing this review, I believe I will echo the extremely positive position of all Matthew's customers. Matthew engaged with us to design and build custom furniture for a dining-room/study. Throughout our engagement, Matthew's needs analysis, design recommendations and attention to detail were superb. We cannot recommend Matthew and his team highly enough. They recently designed, made and installed bookcases/ cabinets in our home office and we are absolutely delighted with them. Matthew guided us through the process from initial design discussions to the installation, with care and complete professionalism. He advised us at every stage of the process and considered everything down to the smallest of details. The end result is better than we had hoped for.

We have awarded Acorn practically all of the bespoke joinery work for our new home in Surrey, including a large study/library, boot room, laundry/utility room, cloak room, bathroom vanities, internal and external doors, two walk-in dressing rooms and another wardrobe. The result is stunning and we couldn't be happier. Thomas and his team produced top-grade furniture and installed them perfectly, tending to our every request and input with professionalism, respect and curtesy. Thomas is creative, reliable and an excellent problem solver. His design drawings were super helpful and really brought things to life, and the delivery was spot-on as detailed. He worked very well with the rest of the construction teams as well. We would gladly hire Acorn again and we highly recommend them.

I commissioned Thomas and his team to create a bepoke display wall as part of our house refurbishment a few years ago. I can recommend Acorn for attention to detail throughout the process. I suspect I asked for more input in the design than most but all requests were listened to and addressed. The end result was a stunning addition to the house which we enjoy and appreciate every day. Thomas and his team recently completed quite a lot of work in our house, including some very complex bespoke joinery e.g., a wine wall and whisky cabinet using a variety of materials. The quality of the work was very good, Thomas and his team are very thorough and have excellent attention to detail. They were also flexible and worked very well with our architect. They are nice people too and I would recommend them.

Thomas recently came back to our house (after many other jobs completed for us) to build two desks for our daughter’s bedrooms. As usual service was great and workmanship excellent. Desks look amazing and just what we asked for . Highly recommend
