Towerwood Vets provide a fantastic service. I have my dog registered at the practice and I would never go anywhere else. The vets are knowledgeable, caring and explain everything in a reassuring manner. The nurses are also excellent and extremely knowledgeable. The staff are always welcoming and it is very easy to get an appointment, whether pre-booked or emergency. The Practice is very transparent with cost and offer the Pet Plan which is very cost effective. I really trust them with my pet and they always provide such a brilliant service. Edit - Towerwood have just done a complex surgery on my pet, Bertie, and they were amazing. From start to finish they have been so supportive and cared for my Frenchie as if he’s their own. They are truly brilliant.

Review from our visit in October. We managed to get a last minute appointment to see the Vet with our poorly hamster. Unfortunately she had to be put down but the Vet we saw was very compassionate and allowed us time to say goodbye which was much appreciated by my daughter. We also got a sympathy card through the post the following week which I thought was a lovely touch. Would highly recommend.

Knowledgeable and helpful vets practice, I did the puppy program which was excellent and then signed up to the monthly plan for our dog covering check ups and regular worming / flea treatments. Works well and nice to have the cost spread across the year rather than a bill I have to pay each time

SWIFT Emergency service. Well in our hour of need, these guys turned up trumps. Very kind staff. Very obliging with our personal needs. Great facility. I had no hesitation leaving my dog Murphy there for overnight meds & recuperation. Thank you so very much.

Everything about this place is brilliant they was amazing with my dog Seth he went in for a MRI and a few other things, we were so nervous about leaving him, the ladies at the front were all so nice kept us informed with everything going on, and Bethan was amazing with Seth and made us feel at ease told us everything and listened to all our concerns. Mine is a sad story that I couldn’t give a review on immediately - my previous dog got ill suddenly on NYE 2023 - Swift are the linked emergency vet to mine in Thirsk. Obviously I didn’t know what was wrong but I took her straight down and the team there were fantastic. They were compassionate and knowledgeable and most importantly looked after my dog as much as they could - made her comfortable and did all the testing that was suitable. Sadly we had to make the decision later that day when we went to see her that she couldn’t go on. It was heart breaking and I am still cut up about it now. However the vet was really kind and sympathetic to us, giving us as much time as we needed and explained the whole process. As hard as it was, it was the right thing for Daisy. Since then I have a new puppy and actually work very close to Swift - I had been avoiding the road it was on due to the memories, but recently popped in on a lunch time dog walk to thank the staff as I didn’t at the time. They really did take care of everything - from the insurance paperwork to contacting me when Daisy was ready to be collected. The staff there were brilliant - each one was kind and compassionate and that is all you can ask when you are going through a traumatizing experience. Thanks again! Sean

We have our precious girl Bella at Swifts, where she is being treated for cancer. The vet, Bethan, all the nurses and the front of house staff are just amazing. We know how this jounery will eventually end with Bella but the care and treatment that Bella is receiving to prolong her life is just incredible. The loving care for Bella and us as a family is the best anyone could ever wish for. Such an incredible team. ❤️

The staff do an amazing job, I took a Woodcock in that flaw into the side of a building, sadly the bird didn't make it due to it's injury, but the staff we're amazing and do an amazing job looking after animals, thank you

After waking up to find my 23 year old African Grey very weak and in respiratory distress I rang round trying to find an emergency avian vet appointment. After being advised he needed to go into hospital we made the trip to Holly House. Everybody was amazing, explaining everything, keeping us informed about his progress and the cost at all times. I was happy he was in good hands. He made a rapid recovery and I would like to thank everyone for taking care of him.

We had to take our cat, Nectar, to Holly House out of hours, and the care we received was exceptional. The team was professional, compassionate, and incredibly thorough, which made such a stressful situation a little easier to handle. They explained everything clearly and treated Nectar with such kindness and respect. It’s reassuring to know that such great care is available when you need it most. I’d highly recommend Holly House for anyone needing out-of-hours vet services. Thank you to the team for everything you did for us and for Nectar!

My dog Wally was very poorly and we almost lost him with a pneumonia and stomach issue. These are the best vets I've ever been to. Communication was clear/objective, and the caring is in the little things they did, like a nurse running to Tesco to get tuna to get him to eat at least something. Shout out to Francisco, Jenny, Katrina, Cathy, Tom, Dan and the ones I didn't get the name of. Everyone was outstanding.

I went with Harvey to the Animal Barn for the first time and just wanted to post we had a great experience and was very pleased with Harvey’s groom. Highly recommend.

Took my shitzu to the Animal Barn today for a well needed groom. Was very worried he wouldn’t settle as he has found it difficult at his last groomers and the experience has never been pleasant. I had no need to worry, when I picked him to today Amelia said he had been a good boy and he came out very happy. I have got my next two appointments booked in. What a lovely friendly relaxing experience. Would definitely reccomend.

Basil, our Wire Fox Terrier puppy had his 2nd visit yesterday. He is still getting used to the whole process and can be a tricky customer I am sure. But he looks super handsome and is happy with his new looks.

I was recommended The Animal Barn by a friend who knows Amelia, the new owner and groomer. Amelia and Lucy were very welcoming, and clearly have a love for the dogs. My spaniel, looked amazing and he seemed very happy to be there. Thank you, I will be back. 👍

I was impressed that there was no waiting time each time I took Winston the Cockerpoo for his appointment. He was seen quickly and there were no other animals in the reception area. He got good treatment which has improved his health and I was given clear advice to make him more pain free moving forward. I thought the fees were very reasonable too.
