The best vets all the family has had the pleasure of using. The prices are very reasonable, ample parking at the side/rear of the surgery. Appointments can be booked in advance and also given same day or within a day or two upon phoning. We have over the years had to use the out of hours service for the dogs and we are always impressed with the high quality of service provided. We are always kept informed if any of the animals have to stop overnight or have been in for day surgery. We would not take our animals anywhere other than cross green vets !

I absolutely love this vet. It's independent and works with the owner to care for their ill animal. It's not just about money. The vets are very nice and the receptionist always books me in very quickly. She also deals with me freaking out over email quite a few times (sorry but thank you). I really love this little vet practice. It's how all vets should be run.

I couldn't ask for a better , more thorough vet than Emily Legate. The surgery is amazing and the staff are highly knowledgeable and very reasonably priced which is an added bonus but ultimately I use this veterinary surgery because I had a years worth of unsolved issues with my prescious boys ear, in one visit we had swabs taken then discovered he had a deformed ear canal in the offending ear , then he was booked in swiftly for an ear flush under anesthetic, Emily filmed the ear canal and debris in it ,for me to better understand the situation with his ear. I can't praise these guys enough and they have my recommendation to any one who wants caring, thorough up to date and highly trained veterinary care . It's a big thumbs up from me and Roman dog. I wish I could put 10 stars !!

I'd just had a bad experience with another vet practice (not in Otley). I was nervous about trying another after moving, but I couldn't have felt more reassured. The staff were so lovely! I wasn't rushed, the vet went out of their way to make my cat feel comfortable, and gave me lots of great advice. So grateful to have such caring, professional and reasonably priced vet practice nearby who truly put animals before all else. Can't recommend them enough.

Outstanding vet practice, unequalled anywhere. From the initial phone call, to the friendly welcome at the surgery - you really get a feeling of personal customer care. The vet himself, Mr Newbery, is the ultimate professional with an amazing wealth of knowledge over a number of decades, and such a kind demeanour with the animals. I was later speaking with someone in the waiting room, who travels some distance from another county to visit this practice and has done for years. That's the kind of recommendation which speaks volumes.

Wonderful Vet. A very personal and always pleasant caring vet, we have taken our animals to Simon for a number of years and he has always been smashing with us and our pets. The staff are well trained and always helpful and friendly as much with owners and pets. No having to see a different vet each visit. The waiting room is a little small but plenty of seating. Over the years Simon has done surgery on our pets and we fully trust him, we have no worries in recommending this 1st class practice. Absolutely brilliant vets! Iâve transferred from abbey to here as they are just fantastic! My fur baby was expecting puppyâs and I had a few questions that they didnât hesitate to answer! And then I brought the pups here at 3 days old to have tails docked and they was brilliant from start to finish! Where back again soon for the pups to have vacs and microchips and I know theyâre all in good hands! Thank you so much! Couldnât recommend this vets enough!

Highly recommend this vet practice. My puppy was registered here by my sister when born. Since coming to her forever home I decided to stay with the practice that knew her. Even though we donât live in the area. The staff are very friendly and caring. When appointments have been needed theyâve accommodated me quickly. The practice is very clean and Fairly priced.

What a fantastic service from start to finish. After being let down, so badly, by our now previous vets, Dr Gabor stepped in and looked after our fur baby. Emma & the team have done 2 dentals for my cats Dec & Navy at a fraction of the price my usual vets wanted to charge. Their care has been exceptional. When I had concerns about Navy afterwards Emma phoned me & through chatting to her I realised he just needed longer to get used to not having his canines & also took longer to get over the anaesthetic. I called Home Comforts out, as sadly we had to put our elderly dog to sleep, and we wanted her to be at home, Emma at Home Comforts were recommend to us by our regular vet. They were helpful, kind and understanding from the start. Emma came out to and was wonderful so kind and gentle to our old girl. We were happy that she could pass peacefully at home. I would highly recommend Home Comforts, as I know friends and family would too.

I wish i could give more than 5 stars! Absolutely Amazing couldn't recommend these vets enough. I was very anxious taking rocco for neutering and these guys made it a doddle. So lovely and helpful start to finish and his little operation cut is tiny and will be barely noticeable when healed. Wonderful staff in a lovely vets! Thank you guys again!

We had to take our cat, Nectar, to Holly House out of hours, and the care we received was exceptional. The team was professional, compassionate, and incredibly thorough, which made such a stressful situation a little easier to handle. They explained everything clearly and treated Nectar with such kindness and respect. Itâs reassuring to know that such great care is available when you need it most. My dog Wally was very poorly and we almost lost him with a pneumonia and stomach issue. These are the best vets I've ever been to. Communication was clear/objective, and the caring is in the little things they did, like a nurse running to Tesco to get tuna to get him to eat at least something. Shout out to Francisco, Jenny, Katrina, Cathy, Tom, Dan and the ones I didn't get the name of. Everyone was outstanding.

After waking up to find my 23 year old African Grey very weak and in respiratory distress I rang round trying to find an emergency avian vet appointment. After being advised he needed to go into hospital we made the trip to Holly House. Everybody was amazing, explaining everything, keeping us informed about his progress and the cost at all times. I was happy he was in good hands. He made a rapid recovery and I would like to thank everyone for taking care of him.

Used this vets for years having dogs . Now having lost my last dogs due to old age, now have a cat 17 years old and becoming concerning. The lady vet we saw was absolutely spot on . Listened and discussed the problem which was heartwarming. The lady in question was called iris and was one of the best we have ever seen. Could have gone down the road of blood tests and xrays but at 17 years old is too much. Cats have 9 lives, maybe he's on his ninth.

A very friendly and helpful vets. They took us on when our vet in Dewsbury said they didnât have enough vets to help us. We rang every vet in the Wakefield area to get Milly her booster and her nails cut under sedation (she wonât let anyone near her paws) and they were all full. Yorkshire Vets said they could help. Really happy with them.

Had an incredible experience today! Iâm not from the local area and had travelled for specific cat dental work and everyone was understanding and lovely from start to finish. I arrived early for collection and was greeted with warm smiles and a brew and once my cat was removed from the cat carrier he was rubbing himself on the nurses legs, not mine! đ whilst waiting for my dad to pick us up they let my cat and I have a private room so I could let him have some freedom out of the carrier/cuddles! As an extremely health anxious pet owner, this was above and beyond! Thank you again!!!

The best vets, I am so glad my dogs are registered here. They are so lovely and genuinely care for the animals, not just about money. I have been many times now for my dogs Coco and Brunoâs vaccinations and now castrations. The care and service they provide is amazing, from booking them in at reception right through to follow up appointments. The staff are the best and go above and beyond as my dogs are anxious. I never feel rushed at the appointments either. Bruno had his castration today and I explained I was anxious, they said they would call as soon as he was done and I got a call from the nurse before lunchtime. You all work hard and should be proud. We recently took our dog, Cleo, to see Badr and we couldnât be more grateful for the care and attention she received. Cleo can be quite anxious at the vet, but from the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was calm, and the staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. It was clear they genuinely care about animals and understand the importance of making them feel safe. Badr went above and beyond to make Cleo feel at ease, taking time to gain her trust before starting the examination. They spoke softly to her and let her approach at her own pace. The patience and gentle approach worked wonders; Cleo relaxed in a way we hadnât seen at previous vet visits. During the treatment, Badr explained each step, which put us at ease as well, knowing she was in skilled hands. Thanks to Badr, Cleo had a positive experience, and we now feel confident bringing her back for future visits. If youâre looking for a vet who is not only knowledgeable but also exceptionally caring and skilled at handling nervous pets, we highly recommend Badr and their team. Had my dogs registered here for over 2 years now, and i have to say i not disappointed at all so far. Both my American xl bullies and my french bulldog are in the pet health club, so all the fleaing and wormimg medication is included. Recently, I had my xl bullies neutered and spayed. The procedures were done with precision and minimal scarring, and they both received 25% off the total amounts due to the pet health club. The majority of staff are lovely and took a shine to my babies straight away. They received 5* service hands down,i only wish it was closer to me, lol.

We have recently moved to the area and when our cat became ill we brought her to Abbey Vets. I give a five star review even though unfortunately our cat died. We feel that she had been helped as much as was possible by everyone at Abbey vets. It seems that she had a number of ailments that all became apparent at once and was simply too much for her to take. We had taken her initially as she was losing weight and it was found that she had some cavities and would need some teeth removing. Whilst she was in for the surgery we were called prior to the surgery by them to advise on results of blood tests showing she had potential kidney disease and heart problems, it turned out she also had hyperthyroidism We were talked through all the options available to us and we decided to go through with the surgery and then treat for the illnesses. We began treatment but ultimately she couldn't fight them and passed away at home. The vets afterwards were lovely when I called to let them know what had happened and to dicuss the disposal of the medication. I felt like they care about the animals and genuinely want to help them. My other cats are now registered here also as I feel that the level of care was great.

Bought a poorly kitten, got me straight in for an appointment same day I rang, the woman who seen me can't remember her name but she was very knowledgeable knew what was wrong right away gave me all the antibiotics and medication I needed walked me through everything I needed to do which was helpful as he is my first pet, did not try to get as much money as they could from me by sending him for random tests, now got a happy full of life fluffy little nutter

The vets and staff have always been amazing with all of our dogs that we have brought into the surgery for treatment or a health check, the vets have worked really hard with the two sister rescue girls that we have to help them feel at ease, which is not easy considering the anxieties they both have. And when it came to the time that we had to say goodbye, the support we had at this time was so amazing, and a huge thank you to Jenny and the team.
