I think Sorrel is one of the best restaurant I ever visit in Surrey Area , here is in UK since 9 years I live in this country. I am always amaze how the chefs are preparing this finest food by seeing the presentation with perfect real délice. We was 6 of us, and all my friends enjoying the food, from beginning till end of Degustation menu which the only one choice , and it was perfect, also the Wine list a lots of choice. Love the ambiance of the restaurant , so cosy and relax old house . And the service was also correct , so after all just perfect fine dinning restaurant in Surrey area. I am glad and happy as all my friends they like it and keep thanking me by introducing this place. Sure and certainly I’ll be back again before I left this country. Highly recommended for those who knows the real fine dinning restaurant with high quality food.

The food was very delicious, the setting is pleasant and the seats are very comfortable. The service was very friendly, described all the meals well but unfortunately they were rather slow, it took several courses until we got to order wine, another wait was for the bill. In a casual restaurant we would not mind but when paying £400+ for the meal for two, we would expect much more.

Second time at the restaurant, and it was a wonderful experience. It was a mini honeymoon as we got married the day before. We went for the wine flight too and was served by Luke(?) who was very interesting and served some incredible wines. Flora (we think that was her name!) was our server and she was exceptional. And finally, the food was just brilliant and so so tasty. It felt a bit like having the best food we've had in ages in a family home type vibe, so lovely was the atmosphere. Obviously it cost and arm and a leg, but it's really worth it and you must have this kind of restaurant experience at least once if you're able to, especially for a special occasion, or if someone else if paying! The food was so delicious. I definitely recommend the meat platter. It serves two, but we couldn’t finish it all. Great value for money.

Had an absolutely wonderful dinner at Rocca Mediterranean Kitchen! The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. From the appetizers to the main course, every dish was perfectly cooked and full of authentic Mediterranean flavors. One of the best restaurants I have had the pleasure to visit. The staff are friendly and efficient. The food is plentiful and tasty. Large potions - excellent value for money. Our party all enjoyed their meals. Baklava for dessert which was delicious, and the evening ended off with coffee & cream. A delightful evening. Highly Recommend this restaurant 👍🏻

Our first time visiting Rocca after raving reviews from friends. The restaurant is in the most historic part of EG situated in one of the oldest buildings. The inside is atmospheric and staff are attentive and very welcoming. The cocktail menu is on another level with so many to chose from. Under £10 for a cocktail and the quantity and strength of them is generous. The main meal of the mix grill is probably the best meal I have eaten in any restaurant in EG. The portion was immense and the quality of meats on the plate was first class. My other half had the swordfish and again the portion size was very generous. It was cooked to perfection and very tasty. We could not sample the desserts as the main meal was so filling. We will be back to Rocca for another visit and bring our friends and family. Thank you to management and staff at this must go to restaurant in our hometown.

Fantastic meal at Positano last night. Superb attentive service whilst not being intrusive. Not been here for several years, as previous experience was not what we expected. However so glad we tried them again and it won’t be the last time. Garlic bread was delicious - so good we forgot to take a photo. I had the risotto and can easily say it was the best I have tasted. My husband had the fish special was equally delicious. The suggested wine pairing was perfect. The puddings rounded off a great night. So give Positano a try and we’ll probably see you there as we are definitely coming back.

Beautiful lunch with my neighbour at Positano. I’ve wanted to come here hit a long time but it was always fully booked. Today we had a great lunch, great service, and great atmosphere. Food was delicious and the best tiramisù I’ve had in a long time. Brilliant, I’ll take other friends here too.

Called in on off chance as local restaurant we had booked had let us down and was closed. The Staff at The Old Plough were SO accommodating. From the person at restaurant entrance/maitre 'd'..the chef regarding my friends Nitrate allergy and the waitress was a cheerful delight. Service and food superb 👌 Absolutley can recommend and will def return. I had the fish sharing plate as a main and my friends had the salmon.. The chef made her a garlic butter sauce as she couldent have the mayo that came with the dish... Could not fault anything about our lunch and the staff 😋

This place is fantastic, Very clean, easy parking, Clean Toilets, super friendly Staff and with “Good Food” as well. It was so good “we went twice”, so we could try what we didn’t have the night before. This place should have a “6 Star Rating” it’s that good.

Lovely pub with a nice atmosphere. I had a 3 course Sunday lunch. Roast beef was fantastic as was the chocolate brownie. However the prawn cocktail starter was very disappointing, not many prawns or sauce. Great service.

Top marks all round for this country pub and restaurant. Pleased to see they source produce from the local BrightLeigh farm and was one of the reasons we chose to visit. Staff were all welcoming and friendly, service was good and the food was excellent. Loved being able to sit outside and enjoy the Sunday afternoon. Highly recommended

What a lovely place to watch the fireworks! Parked easily, managed to get a table and chairs for the while evening. The food was very tasty. We had burgers and chips, and it was the nicest burger I've had in quite a while. As for the fireworks, they were brilliant! We will definitely be back before the next display.

The food was great but the service was not so great. Waited 50 minutes from the time of ordering for the food to arrive. There were only 5 other tables with people at so not massively busy. No one came to clear the table or ask if we wanted dessert. I had to go up to the bar to get the menu and order them.

Really old pub and restaurant which has a few rooms in newly converted annexe building which needs a short walk outside. Being such an old building it's not ideal for those of restricted mobility / in a wheelchair, however the team will do all they can to assist and have a 'route' from the car park via French doors. There are some very low beams in places which add to the charm in the bar / restaurant seating but these are padded where possible.

First visit to the Old House Inn and very moloch enjoyed the experience. Good selection of drinks and food and the roasts and burgers were really good standard. Facilities were good too as were all the staff. The only slight down side was that once a large family group left the table next to us, the scraps of food and rubbish were left cluttering up the floor. It would have been nicer if that had been swept or picked up. That said, I very much recommend the place and look forward to trying it again soon.

Nine of us had Sunday lunch at The Old House. The whole experience was great. The adult roast meals and puddings were delicious and beautifully cooked and there was a good children's menu. The atmosphere and location were great and the staff were first class - very friendly and efficient. We shall be back.

Very welcoming and friendly staff. Excellent service. Nothing was too much trouble. As we were leaving early in the mornings, they made us up an amazing continental breakfast. Beer was spot on - very well kept tasty pint. Room was clean with a huge comfy bed. Would recommend. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you

I had a great experience at [The Gurkha]. The food was delicious, and the service was attentive and friendly. The ambiance was pleasant, making it a perfect place to enjoy a meal. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to others and look forward to visiting again!

Nice place with great food and service. Goat on the bone was outstanding. We visited on a Sunday night which was quiet so couldn't really test the atmosphere but will hopefully return again soon on a sat night.

outstanding Experience Every Time! This was my third visit to Gurkha Restaurant, and once again, they went above and beyond to make our dining experience exceptional. The staff is always friendly and attentive, creating a welcoming atmosphere every time we walk in. What truly makes this place special is the chef — he made a custom dish just for us that wasn’t on the menu, tailored to our own style, and it was absolutely fantastic! The quality of the food is always top-notch, bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. On top of that, we were treated to drinks on the house, which made the experience even more memorable. Every visit to Gurkha Restaurant has been a delight, and I always leave looking forward to my next meal there. If you’re looking for amazing food, outstanding service, and a personalized touch, I highly recommend Gurkha Restaurant. It’s truly a hidden gem!

Fantastic food, service and atmosphere. Why I haven’t been before I’ll never know as only 20 minutes drive from home. One of the best curries to date. Will return!

Lovely food (my 10yr old son started eating the "delicious" ice cream stuffed pancake before I could take the pic 😆), excellent portion of Sunday roast with good selection of well cooked veg. Nice sized kids portion, he still had room for garlic bread and an adult sized pud!! 13yr old enjoyed cooking his own steak to his liking (meal adjusted for his dairy allergy no problem) and he loved the dairy free chocolate cake dessert, good sized portion too. My creme brulée was also excellent. Good value, good service, good atmosphere. Will happily return, thank you!!

Wonderful pub in Oxted. Smiley staff, beautiful location and child friendly. I had fish and chips and it was such a delicious batter. I took a picture after I started as it looked mouth watering.

We visit the Grumpy Mole on a regular basis and one of the great things about it is the consistency- of food, of service- so you know you are always going to get value for money. Today we tried the Filet steak on the stone, a lovely treat. The steak keeps cooking so that you can get it to exactly your preference. It's a beautiful setting too, and today we sat outside looking across the fields in the sunshine: glorious!

Our 4th midweek winter lunch in 3 years. Hopefully there will be many more. We drive 30 miles to make the visit and it is definitely worth the hour travel time (one way). An early lunch slot avoids a well occupied car park. Same manager since our first lunch. Confident, well mannered and attentive. Booking a table in advance is worthwhile.

Always passed this place and mentioned to husband that I want to try their food. He said no as they way it look not really maintain well and nit so many car park even in weekend. Then I Notice that they change name, so everytime we passed always check how busy they are. Found that more cars park there and again asked my husband that I want to try their food. New name mean new management. And he say yes to give it a try. It has a fantastic menu. Many choices. Make me confuse 😅 I haven't seen a menu as comprehensive as this. It has all the pub favourites. They have full authentic indian menu, and reliaze that staff mostly Indian. The food was delicious. We order few dishes. All the staff are friendly and helpful. It just take too long for us to get the bill. Prices are reasonable. Will try again anither indian dishes next time.

Wonderful food and service on our first visit. We had visited the related Parsons Pig many times and The Peacock was just as great. Wonderful food and very polite and attentive staff. Highly recommended.

What a lovely restaurant, food and staff are great cannot fault it. The menu is fantastic something for everyone. I would recommend to everyone just a shame we don’t live closer as I would be a regular diner. Thank you to all the staff.

The room was spacious, the only downside was that we had a green light permanently on (emergency lighting?) The evening meal was ok, but the batter on the fish could've been much crispier. Breakfast was great - no problems at all. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Plenty of car parking spaces, and about a 20 minute walk to Lingfield racecourse, which was our reason for stopping.

Can’t comment on rooms as we just went to the pub but the pub was lovely and they have a big children’s play area outside with a covered seating area and heaters which wa great on a chilly day so the kids could play and we could see them. We only ordered chips which were delicious and came quickly. Drinks were good and reasonably priced. I had a mulled wine. Lots of cider and beer draught options. Fully stocked on wines and spirits. Will definitely be back and excited to visit again in warmer months too.

Our room was fairly basic but functional and clean although the stairs and lobby leading to the room needed some attention. We could hear music coming from the kitchen, I think, but fortunately this had stopped by the time we went to bed. The bar was pretty busy and seemed popular with the locals but we decided to take a short walk into the main town area for a visit to a Thai restaurant which was very good. The low price that I paid through Hotels.com represented good value. I would consider staying again.
