Visited on Boxing Day so it was a fairly quiet afternoon. The atmosphere and service were very good and the food was delicious. If you like tapa then this place is a must

Called in tonight with my friends after seeing a show in Manchester. We didn’t book a table but was seated immediately. Had a lovely meal and wine at a very reasonable price. The staff are lovely and attentive. Will definitely return.

This was our first visit and we will certainly be back. The menu is fantastic, the food is outstanding with great service. Would 100% recommend

Daughter booked for Sunday lunch as we were visiting. Table of 6 adults and a toddler. We had starters, mains and most had desserts. The whole meal was delicious with generous portions x Hopefully visit again when we are up that way again x

It is a great little restaurant the food is good although if it gets busy with lots of orders at the same time the kitchen can get overrun. However the staff let you know and we were offered free bread while we were waiting. Some of our dishes didn't come but that was ok because we ordered too much as usual and the staff happily removed those item's from the bill. Overall good experience iron out some minor things it would get 5 stars from me.

First time visiting here, every dish was amazing, fresh and so flavourful. Felt a little unwelcome upon walking in but this was more than made up for by the very friendly and attentive service by the waitress assigned to us. Atmosphere felt very authentic.

Wow! What can I tell you? What a place - we were booked in (30+ of us) on a Saturday night. The place was packed! At least another table of 30 on our floor, another function downstairs plus walk ins. Service was fantastic and fairly prompt for such a large group, food was incredible, tasty and fresh, the beer was good too! The staff were excellent and despite clearly being extremely busy and at times stressed they were friendly and jovial. Absolutely would recommend! For a function or a nice meal.

Came for a meal to celebrate an engagement. Jaime was an excellent waiter, a great character who couldn’t do enough for us. The food was very good, and the other staff were pleasant. Would definitely come back. Thank you!

I recently attended a work meal at Bellavista with around 30 colleagues, and I must say, the experience was absolutely stellar! We booked for an early evening on a bustling Saturday, and despite the crowd, the service was prompt and efficient, thanks to the fantastic team. The food selection catered wonderfully to both adults and children in our group, offering a wide array of choices that left no one wanting. The staff were notably attentive, ensuring our drinks and meal orders were taken and served without any delay. As a wheelchair user, I was particularly impressed with the accessibility of the venue, which provided a ramp for easy access. The quality of the food was top-notch, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the menu to anyone looking for a delightful dining experience. Bellavista truly deserves a 5-star rating!

We booked here for a family meal to celebrate our daughter’s 21st. As always the food was amazing, the service was fantastic and there was a real warm atmosphere. Having been here before, we were very well looked after by Mark who always provides outstanding service. A lovely meal to end a weekend of celebrations.

What a wonderful pub. Welcoming to walkers and dogs. The food was delicious and homemade with lots of choice. Service attentive and friendly. The Guinness was like cream. We can't wait to go back. Be sure to get a selfie with the somewhat frightening wax elephant.

Just ate here tonight. 2 meals for £20. What can I say…? Wow! Outstanding! I’d have been happy to pay twice that. Fresh, tasty, REAL chips, perfect portion and a good but not too overwhelming wine list. Our waitress was lovely and attentive and the owners popped over to say hello. We will definitely be back. We booked for a party of 8 on a Sunday afternoon, and everything was spot on. The standard menu is supplemented by a range of specials and (as it was Sunday) a choice of two roast dinners. Everything was reasonably priced, service was attentive and the portions were ample. Will definitely return.

Definitely favourite, food excellent, great atmosphere, quick service, generous portions, good value, landlady is a treasure, all the staff are great. Highly recommend. Had a few birthday celebrations here couldn't fault it.

Everything about this place is absolutely amazing, but especially the food. My boyfriends known about this place for ages but he’s only recently brought me here. The staff are extremely lovely, the food is always 12/10 and the atmosphere is just lovely.

Greeted with a lovely warm homely atmosphere. The staff were so welcoming and smiles were plentiful. The food was absolutely superb and nicely presented. Best steak and ale pie I've ever tasted and the sticky toffee pudding was unbeatable.

Came across this place on a whim, and wow! The steak was cooked to perfection for both the Sirloin (Rare) and Fillet (Medium-Rare), topped with Blue Cheese sauce, and the salad was drizzled in a delicious sauce. The table also had heavily favoured reviews for the Sea Bass and the Homemade Classic Burger. For dessert, I had the Chocolate Fudge Gateau, and it was so good that it didn't last long on the plate. The service was exceptional, very friendly, and quick to serve with food and drinks. The place was also very clean, considering it's a bar, especially the toilets.

A lovely friendly pub to spend a happy Saturday evening in, celebrating a very special birthday. All who had food were very happy with it.

We have been several times as a family for meals and they are always delicious. We recently held our mums surprise 60th here and I can’t speak highly enough of everyone at the Cedar Tree, especially Rachel. She was so helpful and accommodating, helped us with planning from the get go and was open to all our crazy ideas!! Helped us with everything even organising entertainment and drinks on arrival for guests. On the night the team were all fantastic and took care of everything so it was seamless. The Buffett was phenomenal with fresh tasty dishes not your average beige selection. We’ve been back for dinner again since and wouldn’t hesitate to host another event here. A huge thanks to Rachel and the full team 💛

Nice evening last night in the Riva up at the lake. A very warm welcome from all the staff who are great and always there for you if you need any help. And the food was excellent we had crab & crawfish ravioli , salmon pasta, mixed grill, and a real Italian calzone, garlic bread, a lovely cake for grandma and my lad and we had a sharer desert for 2 with alsorts of goodies so give it a go guys. So top job guys i tip my hat we will be back soon 👍👍

The food here was absolutely delicious and well presented. The early bird menu is great value for money and has a good selection of dishes on it. It was just less than £22 for 3 courses which is excellent. I had the bruschetta, sea bass and crembrule, each dish was very tasty. The decor was nice and the staff were friendly. Great experience.

Had a delicious meal at Riva tonight. All the staff that dealt with us were very pleasant, efficient and professional. For some unknown reason we haven't been there for a while but we'll definitely be eating at Riva again in the near future.

We showed up on valentines (Saturday) we hadn’t booked and we were welcomed. We had Bruschetta to start then my wife ordered sirloin steak (medium) with Skinny fries. I ordered Lamb (medium) with mashed potato and veggies. We ate all of our main dishes, then we had this platter of sweets. Which OMG was awesome. Can we thank you for the delicious meal. Generous portions. Meat balls were large and stodgy. Too much chllly in prawn dish. Mixed salad and bread were very good.

First time visiting The Rake. We were looking for a local tapas restaurant to celebrate a special occasion. They were really accommodating when or numbers changed. We wanted a full evening out and that's what we had, lovely food and plenty of it. Served as it was cooked, no rush and great service for drinks. Two of our party chose the butchers board from the special menu. The steak looked amazing and was fantastic value for the food they received.

Upon walking in the atmosphere was absolutely amazing! Such a gorgeous restaurant. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The room was very warm, the nice lady had made sure it was cosy and warm ready for us arriving. The food- where to begin?! The flavours and portion size we can’t fault it at all. Really enjoyed it. Our room was really nice and the bed was very comfy. We will come back again I’m sure of it!

An unfussy pub serving some nice beer and food by friendly and helpful staff. There's parking and it also welcomes walkers from the canal path and their dogs. Like the regulars, pick a time when they're not suddenly overwhelmed, and you'll have no probs.

Called in for a drink while out for a walk, lovely pub and friendly staff. Food menu seems plentiful and reasonably priced be trying next time when in the area.

A nice gastro pub near Brighouse We popped in for a light lunch on a Sunday early afternoon. We stopped because it looked a nice gastro pub as we were in the area. The restaurant was quite quiet and it took a little while before anyone acknowledged us at the table. Service was pleasant enough but not great. We ordered a hot steak sandwich which came with blue cheese and fries plus chicken tenders served with a katsu sauce plus a couple of soft drinks from the bar. The food was very nice, served piping hot and quickly once our order was taken. Would we go back in not sure but that's down to the service we received on the day not the quality of the food

Had a lovely meal here today. Really quiet but the waitress was so welcoming and chatty!! She was a pleasure to speak to. The food, as usually was fresh, well made and totally worth the money. Thanks for a wonderful lunch 😊
