Very nice course! First time we'd played this today and it won't be the last! Course in really good condition, it was pouring down with rain all round but still held up! Credit to the greenkeepers greens were in top condition! Full breakfast after the round, made to feel very welcome and all staff friendly! Good value for money, I'd say it's a course you definitely have to play in the area 👍🏻

Nice club, cracking views, great greens on an interesting parkland / moorland course. Staff and members were a friendly bunch.

Oct 7th 24 Just back from a first visit to this club. Great condition all round. The best greens I've played all season. Unfortunately no bar or food on today.( like most clubs on Monday.) A bit of a long narrow lane up to the club but will definately return

Wow, what a fantastic course with great views all the way round. Superb variety of holes and some tricky par 3s too, and plenty of wildlife to admire. Bit of up and down but nothing to steep so great exercise too. Will be back again, hopefully when the weather is a little less windy.

Great course with well kept greens. Friendly atmosphere among patrons and superb food in the clubhouse.

Went hear for a meal the food was great the service very good the only thing I found issues with was parking there was no disabled parking and the parking bays so tight one could not open the car door without hitting another vehicle

V friendly Golf Club, with a lovely terrace. The food particularly Sunday dinner is great value.

Not played pike fold before but I was pleasantly surprised and really impressed with the course - good design and routing of holes. It was in really good condition and the greens were superb - excellent pace and roll to them. Was quite busy for a Monday morning but pace of play was fine. Enjoyed a pint afterwards, and staff and members that we met were friendly. Would definitely go back and play there again.

Played as a reciprocal, this is a great challenging course, very well looked after and not a boring hole in sight. Lovely breakfast and coffee £7.50 and the assistant pro was a decent lad. Will definitely play it again.

Played the seniors open and the course was in good condition particularly the greens. Fairly generous off the tees but with a few hazards dotted about. Everyone very friendly in pro shop and clubhouse. Well worth a visit.

I recently held my 80th birthday celebration for approximately 50 guests in the Function Room at the club. I want to compliment the club caterers "Chip and Sip" and the club bar staff on their service and friendliness in providing a magnificent Hot and Cold buffet, the food was excellent and plentiful, all fresh and prepared and cooked in the Club house kitchen. Everyone was impressed with the quality of the food and the bar service. I would thoroughly recommend Pike Fold Golf Club as an ideal venue for any kind of social function.

Great course, great staff, excellent service all round and superb food served.

First visit supporting Rossendale Radio's Live on air charity event, had a great time danced 💃 the night away with back to the 80's music 🎶..easy to find with Google Maps, lovely friendly bar staff, nice & spacious for various functions.

Been here for a family funeral, the staff were very kind, courteous and respectful. They did the family proud. Thanks

Had a society day here on June 24th 2022. Had bacon butties and coffee followed by 18 holes of golf then evening meal all very good. Course was in good condition only surprise was they only have 1 golf buggie for hire which thankfully i managed to hire 😀 great day all round. Staff were excellent.

Great day out. Nice little course with some lovely holes. Great to see maintenance being carried out on the course aswell. The course was reasonable dry considering the rain we have had. Well worth a visit . 100% be back. Friendly pro shop and well sign posted.

I've been walking around this beautiful place during 2020 lockdown in UK. I can't stress enough how much I appreciate its been located just across the street. I thought it would be nice to contribute with some photos I took. Have fun all golf lovers it's a perfect place for your game!

Whitefield golf club is a hidden gem in the north west of England. The greens are a treasure and there is a hole for every type of golfer. Our golf society continually chooses Whitefield because of the golf but come back for the hospitality they offer. If you’re organising a society day here, don’t hesitate, just book it.

Great value for money golf course Bars restaurants driving range

Golfers heaven Have played here the day after immense heavy rain in the north west of England, I was surprised at good of condition the course was in Fantastic setup with chipping area, driving range and large putting area. Nets are available for another means of a warm up prior to your round. The staff are superb in particular Julie, the manger who had no trouble in moving my tee time earlier Unfortunately I never had time to stop for food but I will do on my next visit.

the below from last year still stands, but today I'd add: Julie in organising event (for x40), and Evonne in hospitality, both worthy of additional plaudits 👏. Awesome 👌 day for R.I.G.S. 2023; The course was in great condition, awesome fairways and very tricky greens. A very nice clubhouse. The only v.slight let down was most bunkers bereft of sand.

Played an open day here, staff super friendly, golf course was in great condition and the back 9 was brutal (made harder with windy conditions). Really enjoyed it though and the food afterwards was lovely!

Wow loved this course, the greens are ‘spot on’ really well maintained and a good looking course with super views. Large open fairways and firm green. A few issues on the back nine battling leather jackets and some GUR but to be expected given the wet weather. Really enjoyed the course, it has a ‘classy feel’ and a must if you are in the area. Finished off with a great breakfast in the club house. I looked at the practice area with a good driving range with Trackman but the green is still under development. I paid £60 using GolfNow great value and the best course I have played in Manchester so far, thanks

Played as a visitor today after work. Not my best round of golf but really enjoyed it the course is well maintained and everyone we came in contact with seemed friendly enough. Spoke to president while he was working on the club house and they’ve got some really good deals for new members. Worth thinking about. Will be going back.

Played yesterday having played previously almost 20 years ago. Course is in very good condition and the greens are excellent and very tricky with lots of slopes. Members and bar staff were all very friendly. Only downside is that they have a couple of shared fairways which seem very dangerous. A very enjoyable day and well worth a visit.

Nice golf club nestled in country lanes. The M62 motorway is to one side of the club and the lane to get to it could do with some pot hole filling but these are the only negatives I have. The main function room is a good size and is light and airy. Tunshill will provide catering for your event. I have attended several functions there of different types and I would be happy to return

It's in very good condition, the green are pretty hard to read and are running quite fast so yes overall very good.

Didn't actually go to the golf club I go walking near by for the scenery without the crowds

Played whittaker for first time yesterday... What an absolute belting course definitely back next week.. Didnt even know it was there..

Visited for the first time (July 2024) Played in Lancashire ladies 4 player team event. None of us had played there before and were all very impressed We Were blessed with great weather & the course was in excellent condition. Fabulous clubhouse, where we enjoyed some very nice sandwiches before hitting the course, then managed to grab some bargains in the pro shop before heading home. Definitely recommend
