Lovely course well laid out and well presented. The course is highly maintained and frequently updated in regards to pin locations. There is fair pricing for a golf round, and the golf professional is polite and friendly with good knowledge to help with your golf swing and course advice.

I played here twice in June 2024, once in pouring rain at the beginning of the round. The course was immaculate with very well kept fairways. The greens were smooth, fast, and challenging. The rough was closely cut and there wasn't any great amount of debris under or around the trees. There was no waterlogging despite the English rain. The course isn't hugely difficult for a high handicap player but it does require some course management and a deal of care on the greens, some of which don't appear to have any level surfaces. The clubhouse is modern and comfortable. The bar staff are very friendly and helpful. I enjoy this course and I have heard good things from my brother who is a member for six years. Green fees were very reasonable too.

Very happy to give the club a 5 star review. Just had a family birthday party and the service from Carolyn and her team was first class. Carolyn was very responsive to all my questions and nothing was too much trouble. On the day her team were warm and friendly, all the party guests had a lovely time and enjoyed the hot buffet food. Highly recommend!

I attend our weekly business meeting here every Thursday with BNI. Great facilities and the catering team serve up a fantastic buffet breakfast.

I can't comment on the golf course but the function room is nice. Good food, well stocked bar and welcoming staff.

We recently had our wedding at Denton Golf Club, and it was absolutely amazing from start to finish. The staff ensured everything went smoothly and exactly to plan, making our special day stress-free and enjoyable. The room was beautifully presented and created the perfect atmosphere for our celebration. Also, the food was exceptional. We couldn’t have asked for a better venue or team to make our day so memorable. We highly recommend Denton Golf Club!

Golfers heaven Have played here the day after immense heavy rain in the north west of England, I was surprised at good of condition the course was in Fantastic setup with chipping area, driving range and large putting area. Nets are available for another means of a warm up prior to your round. The staff are superb in particular Julie, the manger who had no trouble in moving my tee time earlier Unfortunately I never had time to stop for food but I will do on my next visit.

the below from last year still stands, but today I'd add: Julie in organising event (for x40), and Evonne in hospitality, both worthy of additional plaudits 👏. Awesome 👌 day for R.I.G.S. 2023; The course was in great condition, awesome fairways and very tricky greens. A very nice clubhouse. The only v.slight let down was most bunkers bereft of sand.

Wow loved this course, the greens are ‘spot on’ really well maintained and a good looking course with super views. Large open fairways and firm green. A few issues on the back nine battling leather jackets and some GUR but to be expected given the wet weather. Really enjoyed the course, it has a ‘classy feel’ and a must if you are in the area. Finished off with a great breakfast in the club house. I looked at the practice area with a good driving range with Trackman but the green is still under development. I paid £60 using GolfNow great value and the best course I have played in Manchester so far, thanks

Played MGC this morning for the first time. Conditions were great, save a few spots on a few fairways which the grounds crew are doing an outstanding job of repairing. The views are beautiful and the property overall is just enjoyable to be on. Add to it that the weather cooperated and was a fairly sunny day. Next time I’m back in Manchester I’ll absolutely try to get another round in.

Played today for the first time and what an excellent course..superb condition considering the amount of rain recently. Quite long, lots of dog legs on the front 9 a good few hills but nothing extreme. Fantastic views. Definitely returning

Played here yesterday with our golf society (Flag Hunters) and thoroughly enjoyed the course. Considering all the rain we have had, the course was in excellent condition. There are some fantastic views of the surrounding countryside as well, which was a bonus. The hospitality in the pro shop and clubhouse was first class. Hopefully we get to go back next year, when the 6th hole will be in play.

Played our end of year Santa golf day today. From Chris in the pro shop to everyone in the club house friendly, helpful and welcoming. Course played really well and very well maintained and even the hard frost did not spoil the day. Food after a cold but enjoyable round made for a great day. Thanks to everything at Stand GC for making it a brilliant end to our Season. We will be back in 2023 to play this course in the summer.

Went on a rainy Sunday not expecting much and was pleasantly surprised. Fairway, tees and greens were in great shape, and the course was varied, challenging and enjoyable. Some of the bunkers were rather solid but given the level of rain over the past few days I can't complain. Recommended.

Played as a reciprocal, this is a great challenging course, very well looked after and not a boring hole in sight. Lovely breakfast and coffee £7.50 and the assistant pro was a decent lad. Will definitely play it again.

Played the seniors open and the course was in good condition particularly the greens. Fairly generous off the tees but with a few hazards dotted about. Everyone very friendly in pro shop and clubhouse. Well worth a visit.

Not played pike fold before but I was pleasantly surprised and really impressed with the course - good design and routing of holes. It was in really good condition and the greens were superb - excellent pace and roll to them. Was quite busy for a Monday morning but pace of play was fine. Enjoyed a pint afterwards, and staff and members that we met were friendly. Would definitely go back and play there again.

Had a great day's golf, the course is in excellent condition and the staff really helpfulness friendly. Will definitely pay another visit soon.

We held our daughter's 18 birthday here in May 2024 and the venue was brilliant! From start to finish we were looked after along with our fifty guests, with enough staff on to ensure no long queues at the bar! The room has a great layout and we were lucky to have the weather so the outdoor patio area came in handy too. Nothing was too much trouble, we felt really looked after and would highly recommend this place to anyone considering a venue.

We held a Celebration of Life here after my Mum's funeral. Ali and all the staff were so helpful. The food was delicious and many of our guests commented on this. I would highly recommend this as a place to hold an event. Thank you for everything

Just had my 60th Birthday party here...Ali and the team couldn't help me enough. Food was superb, hot and everyone enjoyed the curries. Excellent value for money, lovely venue....I could not rate thus venue any higher. Karen

We booked the Stamford Golf Club as a venue to hold a family members wake. From first enquiry right through to the day, I was reassured and details were clarified by staff. Nothing was too much trouble. The hot & cold buffet we orderd was so tasty and set out beautifully. We had some guests who had dietary requirements and it was no trouble to the staff to ensure their food was top notch standard and carefully labelled to avoid contamination. Excellent value for money. The venue itself is beautiful, we were able to utilise the patio area outside, with fabulous views of the local hillsides and fairway. The staff were so kind and accomodating, our afternoon ended up extending into early evening. Lovely bar area with a well stocked bar and friendly staff. I won't hesitate to use them again for any further functions. Thank you to all the staff who helped make our sad day, that little bit brighter.

Absolutely delicious Sunday dinner 🍽 😋 Couldn't fault anything. Very hearty portion of meat(s) and help yourself to the rest. Spotlessly clean tables set out nicely with crisp white table linen. Reasonably priced food too 😋

Brilliant facilities, friendly welcoming staff , excellent food and drink. The golf range has a number of activities on the screens that are fun for all. Can work on short or long game. The big factor is the staff on both the range and the store they are simply amazing and very friendly.

Would recommend, enjoyed it and would like to go again. It would have been better had we known that when playing the games you aim via the screen to witch direction you play your shot, still had fun but was disappointed this wasn't pointed out when we got there or asked if we'd been before, which we hadn't.

Staff are lovey! Is a well known place, so many people there having fun. Will definitely go back and definitely recommend

Wasn't busy when we went, cost £28 for a family of 4 ticket. We had a good 45 minute or so on the course. Holes are plenty exciting, there's dinosaurs and music playing on some holes. It's easy to navigate. We bumped into a gran and a grandad who were finding the lack of direction signs difficult. Follow the holes you'll be fine. There's a vending machine in the middle which was out of order and it's right next to the M60 so it's pretty loud. The course is very exposed so if it looks like rain make sure you take a coat! Loads of parking. Bit if a faff to get to from either the motorway or the B&Q side.

Went hear for a meal the food was great the service very good the only thing I found issues with was parking there was no disabled parking and the parking bays so tight one could not open the car door without hitting another vehicle

Nice course. Good, inviting fairways from the tee box. Some long par 4s and a 210 yrd par 3. 16th drives over the 4th green, so it can cause a little bit of a wait. 6th has a ditch right on driver distance running across fairway be careful. 9th hole par 3 very tough, good-looking hole. Overall, it was very nice, not too hilly course. Proshop and clubhouse are very good.

Went on a society day and have no complaints at all. Course was excellent, green's were superb. Food and service after golf was top class a very enjoyable day.

Great welcome in the pro shop , very friendly .Only played 9 holes as a visitor but wow , the best greens I've played hands down all year. The front 9 had some really lovely holes ,especially the par 3 9th. Will 100% be going back 100% credit to the greenstaff. Pics of the 9th green and also looking back to the 9th tee. Superb hole.
