We recently had our wedding at Denton Golf Club, and it was absolutely amazing from start to finish. The staff ensured everything went smoothly and exactly to plan, making our special day stress-free and enjoyable. The room was beautifully presented and created the perfect atmosphere for our celebration. Also, the food was exceptional. We couldn’t have asked for a better venue or team to make our day so memorable. We highly recommend Denton Golf Club!

I can't comment on the golf course but the function room is nice. Good food, well stocked bar and welcoming staff.

Fantastic place to have a birthday party great function room

Having been a member previously, I was happy to play a round last week, to my delight, I cannot tell you the improvements that have been made to the course. Rob (head green keeper) and his team have improved the course and the ascetics 10 fold. The greens are in the best conditions I’ve ever seen them, the fairways and second cuts are cut to perfection and the general upkeep is second to none. Well done Rob and team for the great improvements and attention to detail. Definitely well worth a visit if you looking for a round of golf.

Great welcome in the pro shop , very friendly .Only played 9 holes as a visitor but wow , the best greens I've played hands down all year. The front 9 had some really lovely holes ,especially the par 3 9th. Will 100% be going back 100% credit to the greenstaff. Pics of the 9th green and also looking back to the 9th tee. Superb hole.

Went on a society day and have no complaints at all. Course was excellent, green's were superb. Food and service after golf was top class a very enjoyable day.

Nice course. Good, inviting fairways from the tee box. Some long par 4s and a 210 yrd par 3. 16th drives over the 4th green, so it can cause a little bit of a wait. 6th has a ditch right on driver distance running across fairway be careful. 9th hole par 3 very tough, good-looking hole. Overall, it was very nice, not too hilly course. Proshop and clubhouse are very good.

We had our wedding in Bolton Golf Club, it was a really great and nice day, I would illustrate in the next points: 1) We had around 100 guests, the place accommodated all the guests. 2)The food was really nice, and very high quality. 3)You will feel so comfy and relaxed as the team is really amazing and co-operative, they make sure that you are enjoying your day, I managed to take a selfie with them and I think there's one member of the team is not into the selfie, we are sending our regards to her. 4)A special thanks to Mat(Mathew), thanks so much for your effort in communication and responding to our questions, you are such an amazing person. 5)Very nice sound system, and mic(in case you want to have speeches. 6)Very nice bar if you want to order anything extra 7) I really recommend if anyone has a birthday party or engagement or wedding or even just gathering, just get in contact with Bolton Golf Club, they will arrange everything for you.

As a new member and only played four times I find the course in great condition for February. Great practice facilities and so far very friendly people, can't wait for the warmer days in the coming months and seeing the course at its best.

Overall a very nice golf course. Pleasent pro shop and bar. Very well maintained course, in great shape for this time of year and recent weather. Greens were very good and consistent throughout. Fairways were gorgeous too. My only slight dislike and why I knocked a star off was because it only has 1 par 5 and 3 par 3s. The rest are a good mix of short, long and dog legged par 4 some very interesting. Course is par 70. Personally I prefer more par 5s and 3s. If you're not a long hitter this course will suit you very well. Great course just a minor knock down due to personal preference. 🙃

Proper golf in January no mats no temp greens helpful staff and friendly members would join this course if it was 20 miles closer

First time I played this course and I found it a very pleasent well maintained course but very tricky, with some course knowledge I would of shot better. After playing this course around 10 times over the last few months, I decided to come back to this review and add to it. The greens at Hart Common are some of the best I've played, and consistent throughout. Fairways are also very well kept. Some great bunkers well placed. Again this is a tricky course keep it on the fairway and you'll be rewarded.

Fabulous, well priced course. Buggy hire extremely reasonable. The course is laid out very well as has some really challenging holes. A good test around. The greens are impeccably kept and the bunkers bar one are near perfect. Play advised......

Not bad condition for November. Boggy in spots but greens were good. Think £28 is a bit high for the time of year and condition. Played February. Greens were still good but it was plugging a lot. Lost a couple of balls that landed not far off the fairway. Not many places let you play full greens and tees this time of year so fair enough considering the weather

Played MGC this morning for the first time. Conditions were great, save a few spots on a few fairways which the grounds crew are doing an outstanding job of repairing. The views are beautiful and the property overall is just enjoyable to be on. Add to it that the weather cooperated and was a fairly sunny day. Next time I’m back in Manchester I’ll absolutely try to get another round in.

Golfers heaven Have played here the day after immense heavy rain in the north west of England, I was surprised at good of condition the course was in Fantastic setup with chipping area, driving range and large putting area. Nets are available for another means of a warm up prior to your round. The staff are superb in particular Julie, the manger who had no trouble in moving my tee time earlier Unfortunately I never had time to stop for food but I will do on my next visit.

Wow loved this course, the greens are ‘spot on’ really well maintained and a good looking course with super views. Large open fairways and firm green. A few issues on the back nine battling leather jackets and some GUR but to be expected given the wet weather. Really enjoyed the course, it has a ‘classy feel’ and a must if you are in the area. Finished off with a great breakfast in the club house. I looked at the practice area with a good driving range with Trackman but the green is still under development. I paid £60 using GolfNow great value and the best course I have played in Manchester so far, thanks

Played an open day here, staff super friendly, golf course was in great condition and the back 9 was brutal (made harder with windy conditions). Really enjoyed it though and the food afterwards was lovely!

Had a very good time, was a very enjoyable experience and definitely recommend asking for the Upper Bay. Free Parking and Balls and Clubs at a good price.

Wasn't busy when we went, cost £28 for a family of 4 ticket. We had a good 45 minute or so on the course. Holes are plenty exciting, there's dinosaurs and music playing on some holes. It's easy to navigate. We bumped into a gran and a grandad who were finding the lack of direction signs difficult. Follow the holes you'll be fine. There's a vending machine in the middle which was out of order and it's right next to the M60 so it's pretty loud. The course is very exposed so if it looks like rain make sure you take a coat! Loads of parking. Bit if a faff to get to from either the motorway or the B&Q side.

This is a very lovely outdoor space for families and friends. It's quite relaxing and fun to play the golf course. I would gladly recommend this place for team building activities and simple hangouts. There's free parking and you can get some snacks from the shop inside.

Staff are lovey! Is a well known place, so many people there having fun. Will definitely go back and definitely recommend

Really nice course. The ladies that made us breakfast really very friendly and made you feel welcome. Golf course is a thinking round one of the better course played in a few weeks. Big well done.

Great course tight layout and great condition around the greens. Highly recommended for all handicaps.

Great course in mint condition. Greens like snooker tables with a few tricky reads. some big ponds to shoot over which I managed. Watch out for the par 5 on front nine nearly caught me out. Not sure if it was an error but only paid £10 for eighteen holes on Saturday afternoon but a right bargain

Nice course, good value at £20, greens were in good condition and was fairly quick, most greens fairly straightforward but does have tricky ones sprinkled in with some difficult pin positions. Fairly flat course so comfortable walking round. No pro shop though but would visit again for a comfortable round and shouldn't lose too many balls compared to other courses around here.

Bury Golf Club. A great Alister McKenzie course with great undulations and hills. Par 70. 37 out 33 in. This course has some cracking holes but just lacks in a few of the finer details. Not many bins . No ball washers. A few bald patches and G.U.R. patches scattered around. Sand in bunkers was laking. A few blind tee shots with no hill top aim markers. Greens were good and rolled nicely for the majority. Fairways were good and rough was fair. Friendly Pro shop and Bars

Bury Golf Club is a great place to play golf. Very rarely closed and never on winter temp greens. The greens staff and work party work tirelessly to bring the course back to its moorland beginnings. The Mackenzie design course is tricky and requires good course management. Every hole is different and with great views. The club house is very friendly and a new catering team comes in next month to offer a good golf menu. You won’t be disappointed.

Fantastic course one of the best around here that I've played. I'm not very good and found that although the holes were extremely challenging for a man with my golf capabilities- they were extremely fun! Beer ain't bad in club house either! Will be back for sure

Bolton old links was a really good folf course. Some really deep difficult bunkers well placed. Must avoid at all cost. Greens were absolutely amazing. Some tee shots are blind, but hole map on every tee helps. Course knowledge is definitely an advantage here. Fairways are generous and rough is punishing. A great course overall.

Bolton's answer to Augusta, rolling pine lined holes with fast undulating greens. Always in great condition, the course has 2 loops of 9 that bring you back to the clubhouse, great if you only have time for 9 holes or are meeting friends. With some of the best views across Lancashire & Cheshire away to North Wales, always worth a visit.

Bolton Balloon Fairies was asked to create a Balloon Wall around our 4 foot LED Numbers and what a gorgeous room they have for hire for functions. It's an upstairs room and is very large holding a couple of hundred people. Car park is spacious and bars are on both floors. Highly recommend 👌

Excellent course and hospitality for our golf society. The course was in top condition and will be looking to book again next year. It is hilly in parts and I would recommend getting a buggy for any senior golfers who feel the need of one.

Very scenic course, nice to play. Pleasent staff and brew with a view at the end. Very hilly, I hired a buggy at a very reasonable price together with the golf, good value for money. The course is hilly and most tee shots are blind played to marker posts. Some tees are a bit away from last green. Greens are good condition but a little bobbly around the edges for fringe putts. If windy I could imagine this course being very difficult, we played after a night of rain and it seems to drain well

Fantastic course. Really good condition. Was on winter greens but expected for this time of year. Some amazing views of winter hill and beyond. Paid £15 absolute bargain. 17 holes open on day so played first hole again and birdied it second time round. Last thing it's extremely hilly I carried my bag but it was a proper workout
