Barcelona Bistro Tapas Bar in ashton in Makerfield had been recommended by friends and we haven't been let down. Amazing tasty food, prepared and served by a genuine family from Barcelona. Service was spot on. As they don't take bookings, you never had the feeling to be rushed through the service. And we have been lucky to be there, when Maria the chef cooked her Paella, which only happens on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays We definitely will be back again

Wow! What an amazing little place this is! The staff are so lovely and Maria the owner is a bit of a local legend, the food is incredible. They have specials on all the time which are ridiculously good. Some of the best seafood I’ve ever had. Fifteen quid for a huge portion of giant prawns cooked in garlic, herbs and chili which are just too good. The ham croquettes are superb, and the Allioli will kick your backside in the best way possible. We had such a lovely night there and I can’t stress enough how nice this place is.

What a fantastic place and would 100% recommend. The food was outstanding, in particular the spinach omelette. I have never smiled while eating healthy food until now. The staff and service was brilliant and I am already planning on going back! 6 months later, I am still returning and enjoying the experience. The team are lovely and the food is great. If you are after a quick eat and go experience then visit KFC or Subway next door. If however you want a meal with friends or family that is not rushed and has the emphasis on quality and authenticity over speed then you will really appreciate this place even more!
