We had a lovely lunch here with family after the museum. The younger staff were friendly and patient with our order as there was quite a few of us. The food was very reasonably priced. We all had a mixture of toasties and sandwiches which came with salad and crisps. The milkshakes were thick and frothy. I shared soup and a sandwich which was really hearty and thoroughly enjoyable. Chunky home made vegetable soup and a chicken club on a barmcake. Would definitely come back. Really liked being able to eat outside by the canal in the sunshine.
I ate breakfast which was good but too small compared to the price. Quiet, peaceful, nice view from the garden. In the background you can hear animals such as pigs, sheep, chickens, etc.
First time my husband and I have visited here. We decided to treat ourselves to a large Sunday breakfast and we can assure you we were not disappointed. The food was excellent, cooked to order, beautifully presented and tasted amazing. We highly recommend and will definitely visit again in the near future. Date of our visit 1st October 2023. Sitting outside is a lovely place for a bite to eat with views of the canal boats. The menu is basic but its enough. The ice cream scoops are very small for £2
