One of the lovely things about this tea room is its location. There is something really special about having a place of refreshment to visit at the end of a walk through nature and all the beauty that Rivington offers. Staff at the Village Tea Room have always been friendly even when rushed off their feet and the food is also good. Well worth a visit in my opinion 😊

Can’t speak too highly of this gem. Go regularly for a stop gap when out walking. Very reasonably priced, food great, staff always friendly and welcoming. It can get very busy but plenty of tables outside weather permitting. Definitely, a must if in the area.

Our favourite place, lovely cafe with great food and home made cakes,very good value and dog friendly. It's our dogs favourite place as you can buy sausages for your dog! But the best thing about this place is the lovely staff and owner, always so friendly and welcoming.

Love this place! It can get really busy, so sometimes just have to get a coffee to go and a look at the little artisan stalls inside selling a lovely range of gifts. Not had food here, just the odd slice of cake which was delicious 🥰. Dogs are allowed. Toilets are outside and a little cold and primitive, but serve their purpose.

We dined here last week, a small group of 4. Food and service was excellent. Maurizio was very attentive, toping up wine glasses and checking in. We shared the Platter, a delicious mix of starters. I had the gnocchi with lamb which tasted amazing. We all felt very looked after and you can tell the staff really care about their job and making customers happy. Would definitely return and recommend.

I visit Luciano's regularly to meet up with friends. I have enjoyed coffee only, breakfast and lunches. The staff are really friendly and attentive. Food and coffee always delicious. Good price range. Must try an evening meal here soon!

Really enjoy my visits to this cafe and when I'm in the area it is always one that I purposely visit. The food is amazing, attention to detail when it comes to "a good cup of tea" is fantastic, the atmosphere is cosy and warm and the staff have always been professional and helpful. Definitely worth a visit if you re ever in the area!

Loved this little coffee shop, could not believe how many vegan options there were (of course plenty of regular stuff too) but it's refreshing to have choice for once, especially in Bolton! I had the vegan cheeze and tomato toastie and added a cup of celery soup, really delicious and very filling all washed down with an oat milk latte sprinkled with vegan choccy! The atmosphere was great too and the staff all very friendly and helping to open the door for my elderly Aunt Babs. I also got a slice of vegan carrot cake to go which was also yummy, very impressed and have actually reserved a table to come back with my mum and sister on Friday! Thank you and I've added you to Happy Cow for other vegans who would like to have options for lunch in our area 😊 Edit: went back and had the portobello mushroom salad and a cup of soup and my sister had the halloumi open sandwich which looked great and mum had the beef sandwich, all tasted fab! Really great coffee too :) thanks!

Great little well kept cafe. The young girl really cheered me up,her mum was in the kitchen and my food was fresh hot and tasty.

I meet my friend here once a month for breakfast in peace. Zoe is always attentive, chatty and friendly. The food is cooked fresh and the portion size is good. Very filling.

Bit noisy from the regulars who sit in there and the girl in the kitchen had her hair down I er the food :( it didn't effect the quality, but it is off putting.

Serves very nice coffee and would definitely recommend the mc and cheese. 👌. Enthusiastic staff. However, tables could have been a little cleaner. But other than that. Loved it!!

Was served by a girl called Rachel Excellent customer service She saw my daughter was crying her eyes out and put her first. The attitude was super . Love Costa Coffee and professional service you always get, friendly staff and clean tables, just ashame your coffee prices are increasing far too much, and never come down, especially when coffee bean prices reduce.

One of the best cheese and onion pies. Leave room for the good ole homemade desserts.

Lovely for breakfast and lunch. A beautiful cafe situated in pretty rural surroundings. Very clean and great food. It is very busy on Sunday mornings though so best to book if you can and the car park gets busy. Definitely worth a visit. Thanks for reading

Lovely place for a brunch - inside against the grim weather. My first ever Beef Suet Pudding - like the best bits from a mince pie.

First time coming here since they changed to venue, very lovely inside, and a warm welcome! We ordered chicken ham and leek pie and a steak burger. The portions were big and the food was absolutely delicious. Hard to find chips that beat them. Great price too. Will definitely be coming again and highly recommend.

Food is wonderful, service a little slow in parts but will be back. Will ask for the cosier area with the exposed brick wall next time as the other side has really harsh white lights with white walls. Not cosy or romantic at all. Very poor choice of non alcoholic drinks.

We held a 40th birthday party here at The Rivington. The staff were super friendly and helpful. We had our own sweets cart and decorations for the cart which needed assembling and some table shuffling which was accommodated for, prior to the party without any issues. The function room was clean. Located on the upper floor with two flights of steps. Note : the Image is only the front bar area, there's more room and seating on the other side of the bar area. The toilets were clean with sink and hand dryers. Heated undercover smokers area. The bar staff were friendly and efficient. The food was hot and tasty. We had a great night thank you all.

The food was beautifully presented to us and it was delicious! The staff was professional and welcoming. We loved the fact that they allow dogs inside too. Highly recommend this place. Will definately return to try other dishes. Keep up the great work that you are doing!

Food for nine and everyone was happy. 👍😃 The staff were friendly and helpful with the food allergy and intolerance dinners. Salad bar. There are lots of different sauces to choose from. Refills, great selection of cold/iced soft drinks. A warm, welcoming atmosphere. Level access. Toilets.

Working away, popped in for some food. Wendy was my server, she is an absolute credit to your business..I noticed that she is a team coach. If the other waiting staff are half as good as she was then you'll be absolutely fine! I had the 83 combo..it was delicious..ribs fell of the bone and were melt in the mouth. The chicken and chicken gravy were to die for! Having previously been in the industry I know good friendly staff can be hard to come by..yours were brilliant from start to finish. Thanks.

Service was excellent. As a wheelchair user I need plenty of space to manoeuvre and we were shown to a table near the toilets that suited my needs perfectly. The menus were extensive offering lots of choice including vegetarian/vegan options and the salad bar had possibly the freshest selection of food I've ever encountered. We all enjoyed our meals and the hospitality we received was excellent. Accessible toilet was well kept and clean as were the Gents toilets. If anything needs improving then I couldn't see what. No complaints whatsoever. Will definitely be returning and recommending to friends and family.

This place definitely deserves a 5* rating. Of all the harvesters or even pub style restaurants we've been to, this place has been by far the best. We popped in on Thursday night for tea and came back again on Saturday morning for breakfast. Both times, the service was outstanding. The food was spot on, loads to choose from, all tasted fresh and of great quality. But the great customer service is something to shout about. The lad that served us went above and beyond. I think he was called 'Blake'? I hope I have his name right. Big thank you to him, the manager, and the kitchen. You guys have nailed the service at this Harvester. Thank you, me and my family will definitely return in future.

Just got home from Christmas afternoon tea. We’ve had a fabulous afternoon with delicious food & were well & truly looked after by the ladies. Would definitely recommend. I’ve had breakfast & lunch here recently & the food is always delicious- I’ll be back!!

Half way down Winter Hay Lane, Horwich. Feels like a country cafe with pastle colours everywhere. Three/four small rooms and an ice cream counter at the front. Typical home made food such as quiche, omelette and various sandwiches.
