We had our wedding here on June 15 2024 after finding this beautiful venue over a year beforehand when in our initial planning stages. We were initially drawn to the venue by the picturesque grounds and beautiful interiors. After a virtual tour and a face to face visit, we fell even more in love with the place and decided to go ahead and place our deposit. Over the next year, we planned our day which, due to the natural beauty of the barn and grounds, required us to need minimal decorations - we didn't want to distract from the natural features of the barn or the lovely outside areas. Pippa was amazing throughout the whole planning stage, ensuring we were well prepared in the run up to the big day. Her personality and relaxed yet professional attitude shone through during our initial meets and really helped us to reach the decision to use the venue for our special day. Due to the unpredictable British weather, our original plan of being married outside was decided for us - the day before, we made the call to get married inside the barn due to the unwanted rain we were having. Although a little disappointed to have missed out on using the beautiful space outside for our ceremony, it was actually a blessing as our inside ceremony felt more intimate and enabled all of our guests to hear our wedding vows. We still managed to get some great photos later in the day within that beautiful space by the river having taken advantage of some intermittent sunshine. Pippa was around to help set up beforehand and on the wedding day itself, she (and her mum and partner) made the day go smoothly. The turnaround of the venue's indoor space (from ceremony, to wedding breakfast, to evening reception) was seamless and everything was set up to our requests and it looked beautiful. The wedding day itself was just perfect for us despite the on/off rain and Pippa definitely played a part in enabling our beautiful day to go so well. My family and I stayed in the South Wing the night before and night of the wedding. The accommodation was faultless and helped to create that calm atmosphere you need just before your wedding day. Who'd have thought we'd be appreciative of a log fire in June! Using the bridal suite to get ready with my bridesmaids was a real highlight. We all had so much space to do our thing with our hair and makeup artist also being able to set up with ample space, and our photographer able to navigate between us all with ease to get those all important 'getting ready' shots. Some of our guests stayed in the Courtyard the night of the wedding and passed on their comments as to how clean and comfortable the accommodation was. All in all, I would urge anyone to consider the Manor Estate for their wedding venue as not only is it breathtakingly gorgeous, but the help with planning and the support throughout the whole day was impeccable. Pippa really helped to completely eliminate any wedding-stress which allowed for all of us to enjoy such an amazing day together. Pippa - thank you so much for having us for our wedding day. You've helped to create memories that we will all treasure for the rest of our lives together. We had our Wedding at the Manor Estate on August and it was the best day. Pippa is always on hand to set up and take down. During the day she was behind the scenes with the music and changing over of the room. It is the most beautiful venue and we are truly grateful to Pippa and her team! The accommodation on site is beautiful, everything you need and very spacious. Thank you!

We had a wonderful experience marrying at this venue. We wanted a beautiful setting with exclusive use for the full weekend, the flexibility to choose our catering options and lovely accommodation on site – we got all that and more at Manor Estate. Pippa is a delight to deal with, from the minute I met her I felt relaxed but knew that she would get things done! As it’s Pippa’s own business in her family estate, she really cares and we felt confident we would be well looked after, which we were. We had hoped to have the ceremony outside and although weather didn’t cooperate on the day, Pippa remained flexible and had both indoor/outdoor bars prepped in case there was the opportunity to be outside – which was wonderful when the sun shone after the ceremony for our drinks reception! The gardens are so pretty, there are so many beautiful photo opportunities. There is a good sized list of approved caterers to choose from which meant we had the flexibility to choose what suited us, whilst knowing that the caterers have done previous weddings at our venue. There is lovely accommodation on site (two separate wings), and with exclusive use for the weekend it meant that we could really enjoy the venue with our family rather than it all being over in a day. Being able to decorate the venue the day before really took the stress out of the preparations and Pippa was on hand to help and answer any questions, as she had been since the very beginning, always responsive and helpful. Pippa also went above and beyond helping my work colleagues coordinate a present to be delivered to the venue for us. We couldn’t have hoped for more and would highly recommend this beautiful venue.

The building was very interesting. It showed the fabric of the house as it was built and after the disastrous fire that did immense damage. The tour around was on even floors and suspended walkways that didn't do further damage to the masonry. The history of the building was well resented on information boards. Children were well catered for and the cafe was a welcome coffee stop. Well worth a visit and the semi restored areas looked great for weddings and special occasions. Grounds were pretty and there was a short walk to the beach.

Really loved this place. Totally accessible. The staff were super friendly and a lovely lady showed us around the state rooms. Food a drink was great and, as it was very sunny, we sat outside. Then went down to the beach. All in all, very enjoyable.

A really interesting, cool and historical place. Really enjoyed it! It’s a really nice castle. Makes a change to visit a castle that is not ruins! Really recommend it!

As soon as we viewed the Mill for our wedding venue, we booked it straight away. We had so many comments of how stunning the venue was and the staff were all fantastic throughout our wedding planning. On the day everything ran so smoothly and they accommodated to all of our needs. We had Sopley Mill as our wedding venue and it was truly lovely. Both the inside and outside of the venue have fantastic views and is just beautiful to look around. Plenty of guests commented on how amazing the mill is and I am so glad we had our wedding here. The staff at Sopley Mill are incredibly supportive and helped ensure everything that was organised for the day went smoothly, I cannot say thanks enough to them. We are so glad we chose Sopley Mill for our wedding venue. Everything was perfect and exactly how we pictured our special day. The Sopley team were so helpful with all of our various queries while we were putting our plans together. When it came to the big day, Kelly really helped to keep us at ease and ensured that everything was on track and ran to time. My biggest worry about choosing a dry hire venue was that it would be difficult to keep everything coordinated, but I needn’t have worried as Kelly made it seamless! Having a dry hire venue meant that we could add our personal touch but the venue has so much character already that it really doesn’t need much added. We loved having everything in one venue and the setting is absolutely stunning. We had so many lovely comments from our guests who were raving about how amazing the venue is too. We wanted a venue that had a relaxed, laid-back feel to it, and Sopley Mill did that perfectly. Our whole experience with the venue and the Sopley team was a real pleasure. I had the pleasure of being at Somerley house last summer to photograph a wedding there. It is such a stunning location to celebrate your wedding. The Georgian stately home combined with the cosy intimacy of the libraries, the sunlit drawing room and the quintessentially English gardens that surround it are elegance and romance personified. The staff were all extremely welcoming and made the day run really smoothly. If you are looking for an elegant and romantic country house wedding venue I would absolutely recommend Somerley House for your wedding day!

The most beautiful wedding venue. The hall is very ornate. The staff are second to none and will do their utmost to ensure your stay is perfect. I stayed in Park Cottage, sleeps 7. Three x King beds and one single, all superbly furnished with own shower or bath and toilet, apart from the single room. Two sitting rooms, one with large TV viewing, again all have been furnished to a superb standard. Plenty of parking, wonderful grounds. No dogs allowed.

What a gorgeous wedding venue! I was part of a styled shoot there this week and it was an absolute dream to capture.
