Absolutely brilliant vets. I have a very anxious and scared German Shepard who is petrified at the vet’s. Everyone there from nurses to vets understands this and treats her calmly without fear or judgment. I have been to other vets where this hasn’t been the case and I face felt judge for having an aggressive . Can’t recommend this team enough.

Have taken a couple of kittens here to be neutered and unfortunately our eldest cat go to sleep. The receptionists and vets are absolutely fantastic. They make sure your checked in and seated in the right area and the vets are told your there. The waiting are is always spotlessly clean and if any pets have an accident it's instantly cleaned up and disinfected. The vets are caring and not just there to make money like I have experienced at other vets where they want you to throw money at them to keep a animal going. When our elderly cat had had a diagnosis they were honest and up front and explained everything perfectly which was great for my elderly mother (no wasn't getting her euthanized yet) so I didn't have to explain it to her. The receptionist made sure we were looked after and we were shown to a low lit room with a nice fluffy blanket for our cat. After it was complete we were given a card with a collection of paw prints. This made a sad time easier. Other vets can charge £15 and over for print. If you want a place to take your loved fur / non fur babies to be cured , fixed etc then go here as the service is second to none.

She’s such a caring vet and the dedication she has stands out a mile! We cannot thank you enough for everything you did for our little Rolo throughout the past 2 years . I’ve had a great experience today for my first visit to Vets4Pets. I phoned up prior to discuss costs and the monthly plan, and Emily was so helpful. She was very informative and was very patient with all of my questions and queries. Upon my visit I saw Emily and again she was extremely informative and very nice to talk to. The Vet I saw (I’m not sure what his name is but he was young) was very nice, polite, gentle with my kitten and really informative again. A brilliant experience for me and my kitten, both as newbies to Vets!

A great experience for my first time at the vets with my kitten. The reception staff were warm and welcoming and the vet was super nice and friendly she handled my kitten very well who was very sassy and naughty. All in all a great place and super easy and convenient.

Always amazing with our Bailey who's a 14 week old miniature dachshund. He doesn't get nervous visiting and they always take good care of him every time we visit! Always quick to see you and easy enough to book appointments. Managed to get one this morning by calling up at 8.30am to see if there were any appointments. Managed to get one at 10am which was amazing. Poor Bailey's anal glands were full and needed to be expressed but the vets took very good care of him.

I visited this vets yesterday with my new kitten Rodger, the reception team were very lovely and friendly which made us feel super welcome. The interior of the vets was clean and fresh. Also the vet we saw was so lovely with him and gave him lots of love! 100% recommend this vets and so glad we chose this practice

My beloved dog, Max, was only registered at Palmer and Duncan a short time before we had to say goodbye to him on Friday evening, but the patience, care and compassion shown by all staff we met during that time was outstanding. Thank you so much for making such a difficult time that little bit easier for us. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone in Ossett with a pet.

Been using this surgery from the day it opened. The staff in the reception are brilliant, always pleasant and helpful, nothing is a problem for them. Also the Vets are very good, they are kind and care about your pets, they explain everything to you about your pets illness and do everything they can to help. The staff at this veterinary practice have been fantastic, not in only caring for my dogs, but ensuing a dignified and peaceful end to one of my dogs life. The showed compassion, empathy and love for both myself and my dog in her last moments. I will be forever grateful to them, thank you does not cut it.

Palmer and Duncan vets have always been very efficient and informative in dealing with our dog Willow a working stock retriever and Sooty and Mittens the young cats. Mittens they saved when she had emergency major surgery after she swallowed a length of sewing cotton that got stuck in her gut. All the staff are very friendly and bubbly. When your pet needs extra care they were good to refer to another practitioner. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

We always have a wonderful experience when visiting the vet and we have to come once a month for our cat's injections. You can tell that the vet really cares about animals and the well being of them. He is highly knowledgeable and only prescribes what is really necessary. I wouldn't go to any other vet after bringing our cat to him.

Been dealing with Oakwood Veterinary since 2001, never been disappointed. Dr. Kothari is very professional and very straightforward. He did a major surgery on my Husky in 2016 with which I was very satisfied. Very kind and very reasonably priced. I would recommend them to everyone if they're looking for a professional and reasonable veterinary help.

We’ve been with Oakwood Vets for well over 15 years and they looked after both our cats that have now sadly passed away. We have nothing but praise for the team. Our cats received expert care for many years and we cannot thank them enough for the compassion shown when our eldest cat passed away earlier this year. Our beautiful Puka has been spayed in Oakwood veterinary surgery. I think it was the best decision we made to bring her exactly to this vet clinic and we was travelling from ls12 area because clinic was recommended to me. Alan has cared for my nearly 9 year old chocolate lab scoobs for a few years now after a recommendation from a friend. I took him every month or so to have his anal glands expressed as he had an issue with them. Around a year ago on a routine appointment for this issue Alan noticed a lump in his anal gland and must have known that it was serious from his experience. He acted really quickly and removed the whole gland immediately and after testing it was discovered it was in fact a really aggressive form of cancer but because he caught it quickly and removed the whole gland it hadn’t spread. A year later and my scoobs has check ups every few weeks and he’s been fine but I don’t doubt that had Alan not acted so quickly and known that the lump was something serious and had it removed straight away rather than just testing it first then my scoobs probably wouldn’t be here today. Thanks so much for your quick reaction and your continued care that keeps my beloved boy healthy with the regular check ups you do. I wouldn’t trust the care of him with anyone else! Can’t recommend Alan enough x

As ever, 5 stars. The staff are just brilliant with animals (as you would expect) but not pushy when it comes to recommending non- treatment. The floors are regularly washed in the reception area & the tables used for the animals in the rooms are sanitized after every use.

Whenever i call to enquire about appointments for all the stray cats i help , they have always gone above and beyond to book in (even when i have to rearrange sometimes) without making the kitties feel less important than our own pets. The best vets all the family has had the pleasure of using. The prices are very reasonable, ample parking at the side/rear of the surgery. Appointments can be booked in advance and also given same day or within a day or two upon phoning. We have over the years had to use the out of hours service for the dogs and we are always impressed with the high quality of service provided. We are always kept informed if any of the animals have to stop overnight or have been in for day surgery. We would not take our animals anywhere other than cross green vets !

I couldn't ask for a better , more thorough vet than Emily Legate. The surgery is amazing and the staff are highly knowledgeable and very reasonably priced which is an added bonus but ultimately I use this veterinary surgery because I had a years worth of unsolved issues with my prescious boys ear, in one visit we had swabs taken then discovered he had a deformed ear canal in the offending ear , then he was booked in swiftly for an ear flush under anesthetic, Emily filmed the ear canal and debris in it ,for me to better understand the situation with his ear. I can't praise these guys enough and they have my recommendation to any one who wants caring, thorough up to date and highly trained veterinary care . It's a big thumbs up from me and Roman dog. I wish I could put 10 stars !!

I absolutely love this vet. It's independent and works with the owner to care for their ill animal. It's not just about money. The vets are very nice and the receptionist always books me in very quickly. She also deals with me freaking out over email quite a few times (sorry but thank you). I have been using Sandbeck vets for a few years now. They are genuinely the nicest practice I’ve ever had the privilege of using. All the vets are very knowledgeable but super friendly too and the relationship is that of a personal touch. I have dogs with complicated conditions but they strive to always do their absolute best and nothing is ever too much trouble. They go way and beyond and I cannot be more grateful. As a dog owner for a very very long time, I never come away from there feeling that I have been fobbed off. I genuinely and honestly cannot recommend these guys enough!

After transferring my dog from a money driven vets,which I'd lost all faith in, an rushing my girl to sandbeck, which is around an hours drive from me, for an emergancy appointment, each and every member of staff I have interacted with since have gone above and beyond. They are simply earth angels. I honestly can't thank all the staff, for everything they have done, and still yet to do for my girl. They only had her for around 4 hours on the first day, and the improvement in her was unbelievable. Dinner time I walked in there crying, by 6pm I was filled with hope, relief and confidence that she was in the best hands. I have also pestered the reception staff countless times with my worries and again, they so kind, caring and nothing is too much trouble. This practise is a perfect example of how every practise should be run.

I have got to know this wonderful vets over the last few months as the charity I foster cats with use them. I absolutely cannot fault them, whether an injection, check over, microchip or major operation every single member of staff is polite and friendly. They clearly care a lot about animals and treat each pet with compassion and love. No question or query is ever too much trouble for them and they have helped put my mind at rest as a new cat fosterer. When my plan ends with the vet I use for my own cats comes to an end later in the year, I want to move them to LVC as I know they will be in excellent hands.

I've been taking my cat Bertie since August 2022 as a tiny kitten. He's been there on and off every month for one thing and another since that time, this last 8 months have been hard as he was diagnosed with hip displacia, especially this last week!
