Somerset Road were also brilliant and my little boy is home and fine. ❤️ Donaldson’s may not be the cheapest but the vets are brilliant and I completely trust them with all 3 of my babies. Andy has cared for my own and rescued animals for over 10 years. From birth to death, I can say they have had kind and compassionate treatment. I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else.

We sadly took our elderly dog Graham for his end of life care at Avenue vets. I must say out of my experience of numerous vets Avenue is definitely one of the best. The compassion and expertise of the whole staff is next to none. The whole process felt about Graham and making him comfortable rather than about making money. The staff couldn’t do enough for us when it was time for Graham to cross the rainbow bridge. We are very thankful for their care not just of Graham but of us as well during this difficult time. We would use these vets again 100% and must say the bill at the end was very reasonable and a lot less than we expected for the service and care received. Thank you for your service and dedication, we will never forget your kindness.

This place!! I dont have enough praise for these guys. My dog Frank was in there more then he was out. He loved going here, me not so much. But the love, attention and care he got from every vet he saw there was amazing. It was hard to see him go but knowing he'd been cared for so much by this vets helped heal a little. The receptionist we're also as amazing. Getting him in as soon as possible. I'll always be thankful.

So caring with our beautiful boy Bane,we lost our boy but their compassion and care made a heartbreaking decision more bearable.Thank you all so much .

I visited this vets yesterday with my new kitten Rodger, the reception team were very lovely and friendly which made us feel super welcome. The interior of the vets was clean and fresh. Also the vet we saw was so lovely with him and gave him lots of love! 100% recommend this vets and so glad we chose this practice

Excellent vets with great service from both the vet and admin team. Have been my vet of choice for 3 dogs now stretching back over nearly 20 years. Building is easy to reach, sharing an access road with the car wash, but with dedicated parking and a small grass area at the front. Ramp access to the front door is easy to manage for the mobility impared. Inside is clean, bright and airy, with toilets available and a small waiting area, including an area especially for those with smaller pets that is marked as a dog-free zone. Reception / admin staff are polite and helpful, greeting customers warmly and happy to say hello to pets and try to put them at ease. I've never had to wait more than a minute or two before being called into the examination rooms. All of the vets I've seen are equally nice, friendly and cheerful, and empathic towards the animals they're treating. The examination rooms are 'compact', but big enough for the job at hand, clean and tidy. Whenever I've taken my dogs in, the vet has always taken the time to try and treat them as kindly as possible, making sure there's a little treat to be had for each injection taken or for being poked and prodded - but it's little things like letting the dog take a moment to sniff the stethescope before they're checked over that I think makes going to the vet a non-traumatic experience for them. Vets have always been happy to discuss treatment options with me and make recommendations for their care, and the prices seem fair and reasonable in my experience. Strongly recommend.

Always amazing with our Bailey who's a 14 week old miniature dachshund. He doesn't get nervous visiting and they always take good care of him every time we visit! Always quick to see you and easy enough to book appointments. Managed to get one this morning by calling up at 8.30am to see if there were any appointments. Managed to get one at 10am which was amazing. Poor Bailey's anal glands were full and needed to be expressed but the vets took very good care of him.

Sad occasion. Our 15 year old cat had to go to sleep. The practice staff were very sympathetic and understanding as they have always been over the years we have been coming here. Would recommend 100 per cent!

I couldn't ask for a better , more thorough vet than Emily Legate. The surgery is amazing and the staff are highly knowledgeable and very reasonably priced which is an added bonus but ultimately I use this veterinary surgery because I had a years worth of unsolved issues with my prescious boys ear, in one visit we had swabs taken then discovered he had a deformed ear canal in the offending ear , then he was booked in swiftly for an ear flush under anesthetic, Emily filmed the ear canal and debris in it ,for me to better understand the situation with his ear. I can't praise these guys enough and they have my recommendation to any one who wants caring, thorough up to date and highly trained veterinary care . It's a big thumbs up from me and Roman dog. I wish I could put 10 stars !!

I absolutely love this vet. It's independent and works with the owner to care for their ill animal. It's not just about money. The vets are very nice and the receptionist always books me in very quickly. She also deals with me freaking out over email quite a few times (sorry but thank you). I really love this little vet practice. It's how all vets should be run.

I'd just had a bad experience with another vet practice (not in Otley). I was nervous about trying another after moving, but I couldn't have felt more reassured. The staff were so lovely! I wasn't rushed, the vet went out of their way to make my cat feel comfortable, and gave me lots of great advice. So grateful to have such caring, professional and reasonably priced vet practice nearby who truly put animals before all else. Can't recommend them enough.

The best vets all the family has had the pleasure of using. The prices are very reasonable, ample parking at the side/rear of the surgery. Appointments can be booked in advance and also given same day or within a day or two upon phoning. We have over the years had to use the out of hours service for the dogs and we are always impressed with the high quality of service provided. We are always kept informed if any of the animals have to stop overnight or have been in for day surgery. We would not take our animals anywhere other than cross green vets !

Came for the first time with my African Grey Ruby, Matt was amazing with handling and with giving me useful information. I was nervous of how it would go but it couldn't have gone any better! Back home now whistling as usual!

Booked to have my cat seen as she was clearly unwell, despite not being registered I was signed up in minutes and had an appointment within the hour on a Saturday morning. Amazingly compassionate staff at a very difficult time. My pet was handled with care and respect until her final moments. I will trust Donaldsons with all my future pets, thank you.

Excellent caring service, really prompt appointments, professional service by all the vets. I really feel my dog gets such good care and follow up checks. Clear aftercare and information regarding cost. He recently had a dental appointment and teeth extracted, Ted bounced back immediately after, he was a new pup again. Unfortunately Ted has to have another operation but I feel confident he will recieve the best care. Thank you .

Donaldsons are fantastic! They are caring, knowledgable professional, people who have always been there when my many rescues have needed them.

My dog Wally was very poorly and we almost lost him with a pneumonia and stomach issue. These are the best vets I've ever been to. Communication was clear/objective, and the caring is in the little things they did, like a nurse running to Tesco to get tuna to get him to eat at least something. Shout out to Francisco, Jenny, Katrina, Cathy, Tom, Dan and the ones I didn't get the name of. Everyone was outstanding.

The staff do an amazing job, I took a Woodcock in that flaw into the side of a building, sadly the bird didn't make it due to it's injury, but the staff we're amazing and do an amazing job looking after animals, thank you

The team was professional, compassionate, and incredibly thorough, which made such a stressful situation a little easier to handle. Great, knowledgeable people who care about animals. They have x-ray facilities and do some operations on site. Part of a local chain, with an animal hospital in Halifax for out-of-hours services. Offers a 'pet plan' for a direct debit of about £14/month, which includes all flea and worming treatments for the year, and also the annual vaccination. The practice was recommended to me by a friend, and I have recommended it to others.

Would recommend this veterinary group. Came on recommendation and very impressed on our pets first visit. First class, friendly service throughout. Thank you.
