Called ahead as I wanted to register my shynx'. The receptionist was really knowledgeable, and registration was easy. Cats were really calm with the male vet, who was great and allayed any concerns I had about spay/neuter for this breed.

Amazing vets! Saved our dog's life- we cannot thank them enough. They treat our pet as though she is their own. All staff are lovely and so helpful. We recently took our dog, Cleo, to see Badr and we couldn’t be more grateful for the care and attention she received. Cleo can be quite anxious at the vet, but from the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was calm, and the staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. It was clear they genuinely care about animals and understand the importance of making them feel safe. Badr went above and beyond to make Cleo feel at ease, taking time to gain her trust before starting the examination. They spoke softly to her and let her approach at her own pace. The patience and gentle approach worked wonders; Cleo relaxed in a way we hadn’t seen at previous vet visits. During the treatment, Badr explained each step, which put us at ease as well, knowing she was in skilled hands. Thanks to Badr, Cleo had a positive experience, and we now feel confident bringing her back for future visits. If you’re looking for a vet who is not only knowledgeable but also exceptionally caring and skilled at handling nervous pets, we highly recommend Badr and their team. The best vets, I am so glad my dogs are registered here. They are so lovely and genuinely care for the animals, not just about money. I have been many times now for my dogs Coco and Bruno’s vaccinations and now castrations. The care and service they provide is amazing, from booking them in at reception right through to follow up appointments. The staff are the best and go above and beyond as my dogs are anxious. I never feel rushed at the appointments either. Bruno had his castration today and I explained I was anxious, they said they would call as soon as he was done and I got a call from the nurse before lunchtime. You all work hard and should be proud. Thank you so much!

Had an incredible experience today! I’m not from the local area and had travelled for specific cat dental work and everyone was understanding and lovely from start to finish. I arrived early for collection and was greeted with warm smiles and a brew and once my cat was removed from the cat carrier he was rubbing himself on the nurses legs, not mine! 😂 whilst waiting for my dad to pick us up they let my cat and I have a private room so I could let him have some freedom out of the carrier/cuddles! As an extremely health anxious pet owner, this was above and beyond! Thank you again!!!

Excellent veterinary practice. Better than one I can name. These actually care about the animals and listen to the owners concerns. Receptionists are always polite and helpful. The vets at calder are always helpful and polite. The only thing that let's them down slightly is the consultation price. £52 for a 5 minute appointment. 9/10

Excellent service. I took my kitten in for neutering and I was felt at such ease. Reception staff were incredible, as well as the nurses and vet. I was felt knowing my cat was in great hands. They showed love to my cat (marshmallow) and it made me feel at great ease knowing she is with people who genuinely care about her. Aftercare was explained really well and I’ve had 3 other cats neutered elsewhere but it was the first time I’ve seen such clean results. My kitten was up and about within hours and felt great and I know this is down to the excellent service she’s received. If there is anyone to register your pets with I’d highly recommend Caldervets.

Can't say a bad word about Calder Vets Waterloo. The team are amazing and they always go above and beyond to help us with our two dogs 🐾 Our youngest dog has to visit the vets every two weeks and she gets to see her favourite Fran 🥰 She absolutely loves seeing Fran and gets so excited to see her. Fran is amazing with her and after surgery and visiting every 2 weeks she always runs to Fran with her tail wagging and little bum wiggle! Our oldest dog isn't the biggest fan of vets but this is nothing to do with Calder Vets it's just the fact she's a princess. She still loves seeing Fran and the team. Also a big mention to Louise on reception as she again is amazing when we attend or call to make our numerous appointments. The whole team are great and nothing is ever too much for them.

Moved to Calder Vets from another practice after being unhappy with the service there. I couldn’t be more pleased that I chose this practice and have been treated in an extremely friendly and professional manner since day one. The care and attention to detail has been second to none. Excellent caring service, really prompt appointments, professional service by all the vets. I really feel my dog gets such good care and follow up checks. Clear aftercare and information regarding cost. He recently had a dental appointment and teeth extracted, Ted bounced back immediately after, he was a new pup again. Unfortunately Ted has to have another operation but I feel confident he will recieve the best care. Thank you .

Outstanding vets. Have all my animals with them and can honestly say they are the best around. My dog actually likes visiting them and he’s had at least two operations. Just shows you how much they look after and care for them when they have to stay overnight. 10/10. I would give them more if I could. My dog Blu gives them a solid paws up :)

We used to use vets for pets then moved to Donaldsons. We found Donaldsons give a highly level of care for our pug and is well set up in our area with the facilities on offer and suit our pugs needs. He goes to hydrotherapy and the vets /nurses are great with him. Highly recommended.

The receptionist Tracey was friendly, polite and explained and helped me to sign up to the pet plan immediately. She explained what was included, the price breakdown and gave me leaflets to explain. The vet Tavi was amazing. So knowledgeable and understanding of my dog and his temperament. Knew exactly what to do and how to handle him. It was the first time I came to this practice having recently moved the area and I'm so relieved I've found such a friendly, caring practice with a vet who can help my dog Noodle. Thank you so much. Bring 9 out of 10 pets to companian care ( the other goes to a local vet as he hates the car). Never had an issue at all, all staff very friendly, and the vets take their time to allow the pets to relax, only thing is their prices have jumped up since lockdown.

I’ve been using this vet practice for years. I’ve always found all the staff to be helpful, knowledgeable and very professional. This morning my cat had an appointment with Tavi. Not only did Tavi look at the issue my cat had gone in for but looked at two other little issues as well. Not only is Tavi a great vet he is also a nice person. Very friendly, approachable and caring.

Great veterinary surgery made all the better by efficient, polite & helpful staff. Great location & easy to find ,head into the retail park and it's just off the mini roundabout next to KFC & the Sue Ryder charity shop. Ample parking with dedicated disabled bays and easy access into the surgery (including wheelchair access). Inside there's a large air conditioned reception area with lots of seating plus toilet facilities. It is spotlessly clean and as a rule they run very much on time so make sure you're not late for your appointment! Regarding pet care, I have always found Animal Trust to be pragmatic & efficient whilst keeping cost relatively low.

Amazing vets. I was with Calder vets, they quoted me 1600 for an operation. Then refused to do it without another 600 for tests they never mentioned. With animal trust it was 680 all in and they literally saved my dogs life. Staff are amazing and truly love pets

Rushed my cat for emergency and have been seen as soon as we arrived. I was welcomed by friendly staff and vet was taking seriously her condition. They have good equipment in place for closer check up and could target on time abdominal leak which was deadly to my cat and emergency surgery was successfully performed. After 3 weeks she is recovered well and scar is healing well. I will be forever grateful to surgeon and team taking good care of my cat and for keeping me informed. People here truly care about pets and my cat’s behaviour shows she was comfortable being there when before she had big stress going to vets. She has been diagnosed with lymphoma and unfortunately our journey will continue with Cancer Care for pets in Huddersfield. I was offered the treatment here, but must to admit price was rock high, however, referral was made same day when requested. I trust this place and would recommend to others.

We lost our little staffy 'Stella' in August. Even though it was busy, the reception staff were absolutely brilliant. I personally want to thank the vet who looked after Stella and the family that day. Truly passionate about her work, cared for us (the owners), and a true support through one of the worst days of my life. Thank you all. We will forever be greatfull 👍

Popped in a spoke to them about our Nervous and Reactive Mali. He'd had a very bad experience at another vets while quite young which makes regular boosters etc difficult. Got to say that the vet and vet nursing staff were fantastic with him. Spending time to put him at ease. Even treating him in an open area rather than the confines of a consultation room. Very positive experience for both him and us.
