The staff at this veterinary practice have been fantastic, not in only caring for my dogs, but ensuing a dignified and peaceful end to one of my dogs life. The showed compassion, empathy and love for both myself and my dog in her last moments. I will be forever grateful to them, thank you does not cut it.

My beloved dog, Max, was only registered at Palmer and Duncan a short time before we had to say goodbye to him on Friday evening, but the patience, care and compassion shown by all staff we met during that time was outstanding. Thank you so much for making such a difficult time that little bit easier for us. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone in Ossett with a pet.

Been using this surgery from the day it opened. The staff in the reception are brilliant, always pleasant and helpful, nothing is a problem for them. Also the Vets are very good, they are kind and care about your pets, they explain everything to you about your pets illness and do everything they can to help. I can recommend them to anyone needing treatment for there pets

Palmer and Duncan vets have always been very efficient and informative in dealing with our dog Willow a working stock retriever and Sooty and Mittens the young cats. Mittens they saved when she had emergency major surgery after she swallowed a length of sewing cotton that got stuck in her gut. All the staff are very friendly and bubbly. When your pet needs extra care they were good to refer to another practitioner. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Andy has cared for my own and rescued animals for over 10 years. From birth to death, I can say they have had kind and compassionate treatment. I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else.

Called ahead as I wanted to register my shynx'. The receptionist was really knowledgeable, and registration was easy. Cats were really calm with the male vet, who was great and allayed any concerns I had about spay/neuter for this breed.

Thank you so much to Zack for picking up on Baby’s heart murmur after two vets missed it!! (Not Donaldson’s). Somerset Road were also brilliant and my little boy is home and fine. ❤️ Donaldson’s may not be the cheapest but the vets are brilliant and I completely trust them with all 3 of my babies. The best vets, I am so glad my dogs are registered here. They are so lovely and genuinely care for the animals, not just about money. I have been many times now for my dogs Coco and Bruno’s vaccinations and now castrations. The care and service they provide is amazing, from booking them in at reception right through to follow up appointments. The staff are the best and go above and beyond as my dogs are anxious. I never feel rushed at the appointments either. Bruno had his castration today and I explained I was anxious, they said they would call as soon as he was done and I got a call from the nurse before lunchtime. You all work hard and should be proud. We recently took our dog, Cleo, to see Badr and we couldn’t be more grateful for the care and attention she received. Cleo can be quite anxious at the vet, but from the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was calm, and the staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. It was clear they genuinely care about animals and understand the importance of making them feel safe. Badr went above and beyond to make Cleo feel at ease, taking time to gain her trust before starting the examination. They spoke softly to her and let her approach at her own pace. The patience and gentle approach worked wonders; Cleo relaxed in a way we hadn’t seen at previous vet visits. During the treatment, Badr explained each step, which put us at ease as well, knowing she was in skilled hands. Thanks to Badr, Cleo had a positive experience, and we now feel confident bringing her back for future visits. If you’re looking for a vet who is not only knowledgeable but also exceptionally caring and skilled at handling nervous pets, we highly recommend Badr and their team. Had an incredible experience today! I’m not from the local area and had travelled for specific cat dental work and everyone was understanding and lovely from start to finish. I arrived early for collection and was greeted with warm smiles and a brew and once my cat was removed from the cat carrier he was rubbing himself on the nurses legs, not mine! 😂 whilst waiting for my dad to pick us up they let my cat and I have a private room so I could let him have some freedom out of the carrier/cuddles! As an extremely health anxious pet owner, this was above and beyond! Thank you again!!!

Amazing vets. I was with Calder vets, they quoted me 1600 for an operation. Then refused to do it without another 600 for tests they never mentioned. With animal trust it was 680 all in and they literally saved my dogs life. Staff are amazing and truly love pets

I would highly recommend this vets. I've been taking my cats here for years and have received an excellent service from reception to the medical team. They are all thorough with their knowledge and examinations and are so friendly. They also give me the option of my cats having a tasty treat if they are admitted, which my cats obviously love!

Took my little man jasper , for his jabs last Saturday, my first-time owning a dog so I was nervous about everything , was such a good experience and jasper was made very comfortable, IAM so very greatful and will continue to use these vets , was worth everything ❤️

The vet that as just seen my dog Alfie was fantastic she cares and was so informative and understanding I would definitely recommend calder vets at Denby Dale. No waiting, appointment on time and receptionist was polite and friendly. Overall I felt confident with the service and my dog was in good hands. Unfortunately I had to have Alfie put to sleep I cannot thank the vet and staff enough for all the care and support given to us. I now go to the same vet with my dog Peggy who Unfortunately became a diabetic and again I cannot say enough about the vet and staff that have been fantastic in all her care needs I wouldn't go anywhere else!

Always feel so welcome at this Vets. All the staff are super friendly, compassionate and helpful. Micky (or Nicky?) is always super helpful and friendly on the phone and when you go in, as is Steph. All the vets I see also always very loving towards my cats. I know cats can be sassy little things but mine are such cuddle bears that the vets always pinch a cuddle and say how friendly they are. Always manage to get the right diagnosis and gets them better. Could recommend them enough. Thanks as always :)

Fantastic, friendly and caring team at Denby Dale and feel the same about their Penistone practice on the occasions we've had to visit there. Always met with a friendly face and they have always provided a calm and welcoming environment for my past and present furbabies. Great team.

Excellent veterinary practice. Better than one I can name. These actually care about the animals and listen to the owners concerns. Receptionists are always polite and helpful. The vets at calder are always helpful and polite. The only thing that let's them down slightly is the consultation price. £52 for a 5 minute appointment. 9/10

Moved to Calder Vets from another practice after being unhappy with the service there. I couldn’t be more pleased that I chose this practice and have been treated in an extremely friendly and professional manner since day one. The care and attention to detail has been second to none. Our cat is very relaxed and comfortable with the team and their passion for their profession really stands out.

Excellent service. I took my kitten in for neutering and I was felt at such ease. Reception staff were incredible, as well as the nurses and vet. I was felt knowing my cat was in great hands. They showed love to my cat (marshmallow) and it made me feel at great ease knowing she is with people who genuinely care about her. Aftercare was explained really well and I’ve had 3 other cats neutered elsewhere but it was the first time I’ve seen such clean results. My kitten was up and about within hours and felt great and I know this is down to the excellent service she’s received. If there is anyone to register your pets with I’d highly recommend Caldervets.

Looked after our cat incredibly well during and after an operation. The staff genuinely feel as though they care about animals and are not just profiteering. Treatment is still expensive but we were looked after with care and consideration.

Our pets are new to vets4pets and right from the initial telephone call to make appointments for vaccinations and spaying the staff were amazing. Julie with the dark hair and the young lady with dark hair and glasses are so professional, friendly and polite. The nursing staff are polite, friendly and very informative. All staff very supportive. My daughter is autistic and I asked staff to reassure her about the spaying operations that her kittens were having. They were very reassuring as they could see my daughter was visibly upset. Very happy with their services. This is the only vets in the area that offer the kitten pack too, which saves ££££, includes vaccinations, health check, microchip, 3 months of flea and worm treatment.

Nice female vetinary surgeon. Clean and calm waiting area. Lovely reception staff. Pain killers are majorly expensive since vets are no longer allowed to prescriptions cheaper human drugs.

Great experience took care of my cats leg after the bone was broken, they cast it first but didn't work but theb pinned it and problem solved didn't have to risk losing his leg

Chantry Vets, Brindley way is a lovely, caring and friendly veterinary hospital. It is scrupulously clean and very well maintained. The staff are really kind and understanding and they are so lovely with my little Jasper. The care received is second to none, they are so helpful and take the time to explain procedures or after care. I would definitely recommend to friends and family!

We've got quite a few pets, and over time we needed to take some of our cats and dogs to get checked up or due to any other reasons. Each time the staff was helpful, professional and kind. We never needed to keep coming back what was administered was always good. If You are looking for a place where if need be your pet will get good care, this is the one!

My dog was so unwell that she was shivering/physically shaking, she had diarrhea, she was whining, and clearly very uncomfortable. The veterinarian very kindly interrupted her lunch break to see my dog more immediately on a Sunday when I rushed her to the hospital. She had high sodium levels, her gut was inflamed and full of gas, she was nauseous, not eating properly and dehydrated. The anti sickness injection, new probiotic, and diet plan have done wonders for her and she’s now out and about again - no whining on the bus because she isn’t nauseous anymore/getting any travel sickness because her gut health is generally better (no more diarrhea or sickness), and she is more focused and has more energy for games and agility. Please avoid communal water bowls folks, as gastroenteritis is going around. Thank you Chantry Vets! ❤️

Excellent as always. Nice to see a vet that is there for your much loved pets. My daughters cats are always at ease and usually purring away when Michael is examining them. Been with Calder vets for years and wouldn't want to go anywhere else.

Could not say a bad word about the staff from first visit and through a long healing process after her operation (due to her not leaving it alone to heal )everyone was amazing Skye just loved visiting the vets couldn't wait to get in and see them all would definitely highly recommend thankyou for putting up with her 😊

My Persian cat was in distress during the night, I called the practice at 8.20 am and was immediately connected to Maxine, I explained the problem, and she then arranged the appointment for 9.30am. Michael the vet attended to Tom and after a thorough examination prescribed a medication for him. I would highly recommend the practice
