Our beloved old timer, Sylvester - a gentle, loving and stoic 18 year old cat sadly passed last month. There was no question that it should be a home visit, his last moments were free of stress and where he wanted to be. I'm grateful that Jess provides this service, as the practice he had been with for 18 years didn't. It was all arranged with care and consideration of the limited time we had and Jess was professional, caring and kind to us all - including the thoughtful card that came after. Heartfelt thank you from us.

I highly recommend Jess. We cannot thank her enough for her kindness and excellent service she provided our cat Annie in the last year. She has been so compassionate, a good listener and we really appreciated her expertise in helping us make some difficult decisions. It brought much comfort that Annie’s ending was carried out with such compassion and care and in the comfort of her own home where she felt safe and loved.

Jess visited us as our old boy had to be euthanized. She was amazing and compassionate and really cared. Thank you so much

A huge thank you to Jess and Lynne. I contacted Jess very last minute when my elderly cat, Polly, became very unwell and we knew it was time to put her to sleep. She was so helpful and amenable and re-arranged some plans so she could come round that day. Both Jess and Lynne were so kind and compassionate and helped ease my nerves and listened to the circumstances surrounded Polly and her nervousness. They were both just so lovely and I highly recommend them. They will offer support and advice along with care and love at those difficult moments.

I wish i could give more than 5 stars! Absolutely Amazing couldn't recommend these vets enough. I was very anxious taking rocco for neutering and these guys made it a doddle. So lovely and helpful start to finish and his little operation cut is tiny and will be barely noticeable when healed. Wonderful staff in a lovely vets! Thank you guys again!

I called Home Comforts out, as sadly we had to put our elderly dog to sleep, and we wanted her to be at home, Emma at Home Comforts were recommend to us by our regular vet. They were helpful, kind and understanding from the start. Emma came out to and was wonderful so kind and gentle to our old girl. We were happy that she could pass peacefully at home. I would highly recommend Home Comforts, as I know friends and family would too.

Home Comforts came today to help us send our 17 year old Jack Russell over the rainbow bridge. Abbi was the consumate professional with a soft and gentle beside manner. She explained everything and what to expect. I would highly recommend them to anyone. Q

Emma & the team have done 2 dentals for my cats Dec & Navy at a fraction of the price my usual vets wanted to charge. Their care has been exceptional. When I had concerns about Navy afterwards Emma phoned me & through chatting to her I realised he just needed longer to get used to not having his canines & also took longer to get over the anaesthetic. We’re always more than happy with White Cross Guiseley but when we had a distressing emergency they were fantastic. Caring, considerate to me as well as Otis. He had surgery and everything was explained and I was kept fully updated until I was able to pick him up. On arrival I was heartened to see that Otis was being given so much comfort while they waited for me. Thank you to the whole team especially Rachel the vet who treated Otis. Helen

We had Izzy our dog spayed here recently, she had her ten day check this Saturday morning and was signed off. It is the first time that we have used White Cross, after our regular Vet of forty years recently retired. White Cross will certainly be my place of choice in the future and I highly recommend them. From start to finish we received an impeccable professional and friendly service.

Best local vets hands down! Any problem I have had with my Franko they have been amazing. The reception team are all so lovely and welcoming on entry & over the phone and then Alex & Rachel have both helped massively get to the route of the problem with Franko from allergies to neck pain. I’ve been meaning to write a review for a while now!! I honestly don’t know how else to describe White Cross Vets other than amazing. Each and every staff member wether that be Vets, Nurses or Receptionists, are absolutely brilliant. They all have such a kind and caring nature and it just makes the entire experience at WCV so lovley. You are always greeted with a smile, no matter how busy it can be sometimes. Skye has seen pretty much everyone who works at White Cross Vets I think🤣 and they have given her the most amazing, high standard of care every single visit. I literally couldn’t have asked for better people to take care of my little baby. Everyone truly has gone above and beyond to help Skye. When your pet is poorly, if you’re anything like me and they are your absolute world, then it’s just the hardest, most worrying thing ever. However, each an every staff member just have so much love to give to all the animals that enter their practice that it instantly reduces that fear and panic. They all absolutely love Skye and I love that they are so kind and gentle with her and that they never make you feel silly for asking lots of questions or for worrying. They are always so quick to get you an appointment and really do look after you and your pet. Skye has seen Rachel a lot recently and she really is lovley and thoroughly checks Skye, reassuring me in the process. She always looks after Skye and is so patient and caring with her. Skye absolutely LOVES Erena and I’m certain Skye has stolen a piece of her heart too🩷 I wouldn’t take Skye anywhere else. We appreciate you not giving up on her when she was really really poorly and for everything you have done and continue to do for us. You have been nothing but perfect. I'd just had a bad experience with another vet practice (not in Otley). I was nervous about trying another after moving, but I couldn't have felt more reassured. The staff were so lovely! I wasn't rushed, the vet went out of their way to make my cat feel comfortable, and gave me lots of great advice. So grateful to have such caring, professional and reasonably priced vet practice nearby who truly put animals before all else. Can't recommend them enough.

The best vets all the family has had the pleasure of using. The prices are very reasonable, ample parking at the side/rear of the surgery. Appointments can be booked in advance and also given same day or within a day or two upon phoning. We have over the years had to use the out of hours service for the dogs and we are always impressed with the high quality of service provided. We are always kept informed if any of the animals have to stop overnight or have been in for day surgery. We would not take our animals anywhere other than cross green vets !

I absolutely love this vet. It's independent and works with the owner to care for their ill animal. It's not just about money. The vets are very nice and the receptionist always books me in very quickly. She also deals with me freaking out over email quite a few times (sorry but thank you). I really love this little vet practice. It's how all vets should be run.

I couldn't ask for a better , more thorough vet than Emily Legate. The surgery is amazing and the staff are highly knowledgeable and very reasonably priced which is an added bonus but ultimately I use this veterinary surgery because I had a years worth of unsolved issues with my prescious boys ear, in one visit we had swabs taken then discovered he had a deformed ear canal in the offending ear , then he was booked in swiftly for an ear flush under anesthetic, Emily filmed the ear canal and debris in it ,for me to better understand the situation with his ear. I can't praise these guys enough and they have my recommendation to any one who wants caring, thorough up to date and highly trained veterinary care . It's a big thumbs up from me and Roman dog. I wish I could put 10 stars !!

A great experience for my first time at the vets with my kitten. The reception staff were warm and welcoming and the vet was super nice and friendly she handled my kitten very well who was very sassy and naughty. All in all a great place and super easy and convenient.

Always amazing with our Bailey who's a 14 week old miniature dachshund. He doesn't get nervous visiting and they always take good care of him every time we visit! Always quick to see you and easy enough to book appointments. Managed to get one this morning by calling up at 8.30am to see if there were any appointments. Managed to get one at 10am which was amazing. Poor Bailey's anal glands were full and needed to be expressed but the vets took very good care of him.

I visited this vets yesterday with my new kitten Rodger, the reception team were very lovely and friendly which made us feel super welcome. The interior of the vets was clean and fresh. Also the vet we saw was so lovely with him and gave him lots of love! 100% recommend this vets and so glad we chose this practice

Excellent vets with great service from both the vet and admin team. Have been my vet of choice for 3 dogs now stretching back over nearly 20 years. Building is easy to reach, sharing an access road with the car wash, but with dedicated parking and a small grass area at the front. Ramp access to the front door is easy to manage for the mobility impared. Inside is clean, bright and airy, with toilets available and a small waiting area, including an area especially for those with smaller pets that is marked as a dog-free zone. Reception / admin staff are polite and helpful, greeting customers warmly and happy to say hello to pets and try to put them at ease. I've never had to wait more than a minute or two before being called into the examination rooms. All of the vets I've seen are equally nice, friendly and cheerful, and empathic towards the animals they're treating. The examination rooms are 'compact', but big enough for the job at hand, clean and tidy. Whenever I've taken my dogs in, the vet has always taken the time to try and treat them as kindly as possible, making sure there's a little treat to be had for each injection taken or for being poked and prodded - but it's little things like letting the dog take a moment to sniff the stethescope before they're checked over that I think makes going to the vet a non-traumatic experience for them. Vets have always been happy to discuss treatment options with me and make recommendations for their care, and the prices seem fair and reasonable in my experience. Strongly recommend.

I recently switched my French Bulldog to Leeds Veterinary Centre in Crossgates. My dog had surgery and I felt that James, Vanessa and all the team really do care. I was given advice and constantly updated. excellent service. Highly recommended, Thank you Leeds Veterinary Clinic

I've been taking my cat Bertie since August 2022 as a tiny kitten. He's been there on and off every month for one thing and another since that time, this last 8 months have been hard as he was diagnosed with hip displacia, especially this last week! I cannot thank Katherine his main vet and all the team for all their care, and going the extra mile for him and kindness. If I could give more stars 🌟 I would. Massive thank .. you all deserve it

I have got to know this wonderful vets over the last few months as the charity I foster cats with use them. I absolutely cannot fault them, whether an injection, check over, microchip or major operation every single member of staff is polite and friendly. They clearly care a lot about animals and treat each pet with compassion and love. No question or query is ever too much trouble for them and they have helped put my mind at rest as a new cat fosterer. When my plan ends with the vet I use for my own cats comes to an end later in the year, I want to move them to LVC as I know they will be in excellent hands.

The team are fantastic! They have been so supportive and understanding with our rescue Dachshund. He’s not had the best start in life and can very nervous around strangers, especially men. White cross have been so accommodating and supportive with him, always going out of their way to make sure he has the most stress free visits possible. A fantastic vets, highly recommend!

Absolutely brilliant vets. I have a very anxious and scared German Shepard who is petrified at the vet’s. Everyone there from nurses to vets understands this and treats her calmly without fear or judgment. I have been to other vets where this hasn’t been the case and I face felt judge for having an aggressive . Can’t recommend this team enough.

I wasn’t registered yet, but my puppy choked on a stick - the staff were able to see her straight away & were fabulous. They deserve more than 5* I can’t thank them enough!

Our first visit with our dog we were made very welcome and the vet was so kind and lovely towards her. We were surprised how relaxed our dog was as at a different vets was always anxious. Highly recommend 👌

Reasonably priced, excellent service. Easy to find and park. The nurses and vets go over and above for the pets and their owners. They were there for us through various injuries and illnesses and always showed a huge amount of care and compassion to both us and our cats. They treated our cat like their own, providing regular updates when she had to stay in overnight. I really can't recommend them highly enough.

Fantastic Vets. My cat needed both his ears removing due to skin cancer. Caring, honest and excellent friendly customer service. Mark is a lovely Vet.

My old dog Sox is always happy to visit this vets. They are all friendly and nothing is too much trouble.

Review from our visit in October. We managed to get a last minute appointment to see the Vet with our poorly hamster. Unfortunately she had to be put down but the Vet we saw was very compassionate and allowed us time to say goodbye which was much appreciated by my daughter. We also got a sympathy card through the post the following week which I thought was a lovely touch. Would highly recommend.

Knowledgeable and helpful vets practice, I did the puppy program which was excellent and then signed up to the monthly plan for our dog covering check ups and regular worming / flea treatments. Works well and nice to have the cost spread across the year rather than a bill I have to pay each time
