The Admiral is a quaint little pub! Was nice and quiet with lots of places to sit. Nice and clean pub. Staff at the bar were very friendly too. Ample car parking spaces however this is a Thursday lunch time. A little expensive in comparison to other pubs in the area £36.88 for two burgers a larger top and a tomato juice, still not bank breaking but I think a lunch menu works good was really nice! We had the ranch Reaper burger and the signature desperados nacho burger. 10/10 got to day! Overall a great experience-I bet it is lovely on a sunny day to sit out in the garden. Strong recommendation 🙏

Although slow service with just the landlord serving and food taking 20 minutes it was worth it as really fresh and well cooked food. We had Gammon, Burger and Halloumi fries. Good beer in the correct glasses also appreciated

I'm a musician passing through Ash Vale and stopped for a bite to eat. I was met with a welcome smile from a young lady behind the bar. I asked if they were still doing food as time was getting on then told they were. I ordered scampi & chips and a coke and cost me £17. I grabbed my coke and got myself seated. Within 5 minutes my food came it was lovely and hot and the taste was even better. I would happily pay £25 for what I had so all I can say if you are passing this way pop in and grab your your self a meal for a great price. There was also great banter from the people in the bar. Over all it was a lovely clean pub with very well kept toilets run by good people. Compliments also to the chef. What ever your doing guys your doing it right. We had a lovely family meal here this evening. The food was excellent, really tasty and authentic with a great use of spices , nothing too over powering . The portion sizes were great, and it was served on hot plates ( its a chef thing, love a hot plate) the restaurant is very clean, and staff are so friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend a visit . The Thursday night banquet is such great value for money too. Thank you 😊

We ordered takeaway which we picked up, seemed to take ages. Food portions were good but they missed an item on the order, and not as good as anticipated, was hot in spice but not flavour for a patia I had. I think we went on a busy night

It is not very often you find a little gem of a local pub that has everything in place to make your visit and experience one to remember fondly. The staff were very welcoming, attentive, and happy to assist in your choices. We had a starter, the steak for a main, and dessert. All was beautiful cooked, well presented, and served quickly. The covered outside eating area gives a lovely atmosphere, and we will be happy to return.

We recently had Sunday roast dinner. Lamb, beef, chicken and pork roasts are available. Beautiful old pub with lots of outside areas for dining. Great service but the food was just ok and far from impressive. It all looked and tasted a bit processed. The parnips are extra cost and so too is the stuffing and cauliflower cheese. Overall, the poor food quality meant that it was not very good value for money.

I really like this pub, the menu is "proper" and the staff are really nice. Roast dinner wasn't great today (my friend had it), but the fish and chips were very nice and the desserts are great value and really yummy. Sticky toffee is lush...not sure if it's homemade but...very tasty. I just wish it was served in a bowl! Chips were delicious

The best Sunday roast we’ve had in a long time. We’ve lived a few miles away for about 20 years and this was our first visit. I wish we’d found it sooner! Great wholesome and tasty food, in a calm and welcoming environment. The mushroom wellington was absolutely delicious. We’ll definitely be back. I even checked out the toilets which were spotless and fresh.

What a lovely restaurant! We had a selection of the starters but they weren't the best, a bit tasteless to be honest. The camembert had no taste and yet it was supposed to have rosemary and pecan flavours, quite disappointed. The nicest thing we ate ,by far , was the chicken crackling and jue starter, that was amazing. We will go back to try some of the mains and give the food one more chance. 🤞. The service was great though and the atmosphere was nice , I loved the restaurant itself, decorated SO nice it felt like we was on holiday.

Such a quirky place to eat!!The decor and art work makes you feel like your in the heart of London without having to trek down there! Even the toilets had a cool decor, it felt like I was abroad for a spilt second! Hats off to whoever designed this place! Food was delicious , though the the portion could be a little bigger. I ordered fish and chips and my fish felt very thin. Though it was delicious in taste. I was also very pleased with the quality of the kids meal for my son, they actually make effort for the kids which I find rather rare these days. Vibe was so chilled and staff were friendly too. The only reason I haven’t give it 5 stars is due to the fact that staff can get a little too relaxed and so I found myself having to get my own menu , ask for cutlery for my meal, and keep getting up to ask staff for smalls things like Mayo. But it wasn’t too much of a bother , once I approached staff they were helpful .

Lovely food. Beautiful surroundings. Absolutely love the decor. Love that they are dog friendly too. The only very slight thing I found a bit irritating is the very strict no smoking or vaping policy on the patio area. The designated smoking/vaping area is a bit dingy and well out of the way. Luckily we aren’t heavy smokers and just refrained. It wouldn’t stop us returning but might others. Also worth noting that men have to wear sleeves. My partner was wearing a vest as it was a sunny day- and it was allowed on that occasion.. but we were asked for him to bear it in mind if we return. Staff were lovely, and friendly and polite. Desert list was absolutely OUTSTANDING! Be prepared to have difficulty choosing🥰

Had to say what a great lunch we had here today. My wife doesn’t necessarily like the brand but we were very hungry. Great food , great service by Dominic (I think the manager) and a great Sunday atmosphere. Salad bar was excellent as usual and plentiful. Pleased to say we will be back. Gutted we missed your 50% offer last week.

My first time here, yes, I only live a short distance away. Impression on walking in, very nice , very clean, clear notice on entrance, shown to my table, atmosphere excellent, refreshments (beer) fresh, I ordered 7oz Gammon, which is big enough, the salad bar , could not be any fresher, awesome. Not kept waiting and order had arrived in good time, prices also at average. So will definitely return, best wishes oh summer time there's a garden and something for the kids to play. So all-around nice and enjoyable place. Thank you Charlie. Sorry for the ketchup but I like it.

Great Food and Service we just had a fantastic meal this evening. The food was absolutely delicious - I had the Smoke House Pork Belly & Corn. it was cooked to perfection. The service was also top-notch. Our server was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend!

We had the Burns night menu. Delicious food at fantastic value. They were short staffed for the number of people in the pub, but still gave great service. Always enjoy coming here.

Myself, my other half and our young son have been regular visitors to the swan for the last 6 years and I can honestly say we’ve never had a bad meal, the food is always spot on and the staff are always really friendly and attentive. Very happy and proud to call it our local! ♥️ Came in again today for a family lunch as a treat as we all had the day off. Again, food was great and service was brilliant. There’s a lovely lady that works there, don’t know her name, a blonde young lady, she’s always super attentive and friendly. Always a smile on her face and happy to help.

Well where to begin, what a lovely and well enjoyed lunch we had, we were welcomed on arrival by I think if I can remember Keri & Paris both happy young ladies, the food was hot and delicious whilst the staff were very busy the waiting time was well with in a respected time from ordering to being on the table in front of me. After a long Christmas break visiting family today we decided to go on a long dog walk and ended up at The Swan. Loved the fact we could take our dog in and she was fussed too by a lovely young lady called Chloe. We stayed for a light brunch and enjoyed not having to cook, the food was fresh came out hot. Would recommend the pub especially for the friendliness to not just us but our Labrador too 🐾🐾
