I came here today with my dog & it was like stepping back in time to my grandmas kitchen on a Saturday morning in the nicest way . The staff was so welcoming and warm especially with me having the dog . The atmosphere was just so wholesome it really felt like I was just in my grans kitchen . The decor is very very clean & the food was absolutely the best breakfast I’ve had . But hers sausage and bacon perfect orange yoky eggs with load of yoke , thick cut toast . Everything about it was beautiful so it looks like il be driving 40 mins for a breakfast every week . I also went alone with the dog which I’ve never ate alone before and not once did I felt uncomfortable.
Been to Wilberrys today with my mum and as usual the food was as it always is delicious, we both had cheese and onion, tomato toasty, salad, chips and a cup of tea , served with a smile, the food is freshly made and always piping hot ,if when you order they are busy they always tell you there might be a small wait ,the wait is worth it in my opinion and they are busy because they are serving quality food. We have been coming to Wilberrys cafe for ten years now and it had never disappointed us once, I recommend it to all my friends, it's spotlessly clean and the prices are extremely competitive.. It's homely in there and has a nice atmosphere whilst you eat and chat, met some lovely people in Wilberrys.. Summed up, if you like freshly made, traditional food served piping hot ,that doesn't cost the earth then give it a try .. By the way we ve had most things on the menu and it's all been lovely, cheese and onion pie is my favourite..
We come from nearer the City now, though we used to live in Dobcross. Being nearer the City, I found that if you can find a cafe to buy a cooked breakfast/dinner, it seems more often than not, the quality just doesn't seem to be there. Nor that homeliness, and relaxed atmosphere. The food never seems to be cooked properly, as it's rushed to get out to you (which can be understandable sometimes). Here at Wilberrys, it's worth paying that extra cost (which isn't that much more when there's two of you). You also get the feeling of comfort. Being able to consume your meal in a relaxed atmosphere with no pressure. You are also in a beautiful part of the country, with much nicer things to see. The quality of food is excellent. £18:00 for two really good sized brunches, and that includes your cuppa, when you're paying £15:00 in Oldham and the outskirts of Manchester. It's well worth the extra miles and time. The only downside, is they stop serving food at about 1:00pm, and close at 2:00pm.If this place stayed open a couple of hours longer, it'd be a much bigger goldmine than it already is. Having said that, if I was the owner. You could easily afford to close at the time they do. Just to add, that this place has been there for over twenty years, so early closing or not, they're doing it right. Thoroughly recommended. If you're going to Saddleworth and want to start on a good hearty breakfast, this is the place.
