Nice and family-friendly pub in Cheadle Hulme. It is an old pub that opens and closes on and off for years. But I am glad to see it open again, which is nice because there are no other pubs in the local area within walking distance for residents. Beer selection is very good. The food was lovely and tasted very fresh. Good portion size. Large beer garden, which I am sure is busy in the summer. Dog friendly
We visited the Hesketh on Christmas Day as a family of four. The adults found the soup starter to be a bit too peppery for our taste. For the main course, the vegetarian option was delicious, especially the sides, though the tart was less impressive but still edible. My husband and kids thoroughly enjoyed their turkey dinner. We missed out on the champagne sorbet between courses, but it wasn’t a big issue since we were already quite full. Overall, we were pleased to spend Christmas Day at the Hesketh, and appreciated that we didn’t feel rushed.
Recently, i visited The Hesketh to meet up with friends. From the start to finish, staff made us feel welcome and look after. The food was amazing, we went for burgers and fish and chips. We weren't expecting a lot from pub food, but we were nicely suprised and enjoyed each bits. A nice addition to this place was live performance by amazing guy playing gitare and singing. The staff told us that there is always a performer over the weekend. I would highly recommend this place and definitely will be back.
