Both of our children have now passed their 11+ thanks for the help of The Right Tuition Company. Getting children to do extra studying is never easy but the tutors make it easier because they are friendly, they really do care and they seem to just have what it takes to get the information into the children. They definitely learnt things that school just doesn’t have time to teach. They were taught techniques that their friends at school didn’t know that really helped cement their learning. I loved the additional classes they put on in the school holidays and I recommend the extra sessions they put on as summaries for each subject before the 11+. I cannot recommend The Right Tuition Company enough!!!

We used GTA for 11+ tuition. Assam was great. My daughter was a BIG fan of his teaching methods - not so much of the homework he set though! HA! She loved the lessons and found them very helpful. What I liked about most about these guys is the honest assessment of your child's abilities. On my first meeting with Shahnaz, she was very open in telling me that if she didn't think my child was capable of doing the 11+, she would tell me straight and that it would be unfair to put pressure on a child if it is clear they are not up to it. I really liked that. There was never any pressure to book lessons either. I was also very grateful for all the tips and advice Shahnaz gave me - as the parent, supporting my child's learning - which I found invaluable, especially moving forward as "it doesn't stop here" Shahnaz quite rightly said. So all-in-all, great service, I would highly recommend them.

Taran has finished tutoring one of my children and is currently working with my youngest. She provides an excellent, small classroom environment (8 max) to support their learning, very good materials and sets the right amount of homework to embed their understanding of different subjects. Taran is very personable, has excellent communication with parents including direct access via wattsapp, and my children always enjoy the sessions. Highly recommended.

Serena’s approach to learning is brilliant. My son doesn’t feel pressured about learning; he loves her approach and looks forward to attending the Tuesday lesson after school each week. We never have to ask him to do his homework, and he will get upset if the weekend is so busy and packed and he doesn't get the time to do his homework from Serena’s session. He would wake up early, unprompted by us, saying I must do my homework, not from fear or anything but from a place of joy in learning and a sense of completing his homework. I’m thankful to Serena that her approach eliminates any fear of learning. She makes it fun and challenging, so my son feels like he has achieved something when he understands something he didn't initially or previously understand. As parents, we get an update on our son’s performance and progress each week. What he did well, he needs to focus on and even say if he needs 1:1 support with any particular area of the learning. I wish her approach to education was how schools delivered their learning instead of how they do that. Her focus is on each child as an individual and their stage of learning. So, the teaching is tailored to the individual child's ability rather than the approach at school, which doesn’t challenge each child and where they are in their learning stage. Schools teach to the common denominator, while Serena teaches to the individual child’s level and ability. I would HIGHLY recommend Serena’s tuition approach.

My two boys started with Serena in September and they absolutely love the sessions. Serena makes learning fun and engages with the children so well. Grand tutors is an excellent tutoring school. My son attended the school for only 7 weeks during the Summer holiday, and then went on to pass the 11 plus with a high score. Grand tutors gave my son the tools and the knowledge to pass the Grammar test on a very short time scale. The tutor is dedicated to her pupils and always gives encouragement and praise. My son enjoyed every lesson and was always keen to attend his next class. He also won the end of year 11 plus Mock exam , and is now achieving well above his expected levels in Maths and English at his Junior school. Even though my son joined just before last month's test, I am very glad for what Ruvini did for him. I enrolled him for a mock test, and afterward, Ruvini clearly identified my son's weak areas. Tutor World really help my child, I tried others for lessons for the 11+ for my son. I was told he won’t pass as he lacks focus, but when I went to tutor world for an assessment, Ruvini was very helpful and told me with little effort my son could do well at the exam, am so happy I listen to her advice, as I almost gave up. We used tutor world for our son in preparation for the 11+ exams and we found them to be very good, professional, flexible, attentive, and caring. They put a lot of time and effort to work with him and I felt they had active interest in helping him and all the other children succeeded.

Both of my children attended weekly classes for about a year in the run up to the 11+. I think both of them benefitted a lot from the classes. It really helped them understand what to expect from the test and how to prepare for it, and get used to the style of questions. Thoroughly recommended.

Update- I had no hesitation enrolling my boys at RTC following the success they had with my first. Maria was brilliant with them and gave in-depth feedback every week. I particularly liked the weekly feedback and the methodical approach to covering all the required topics across a range of subjects. Also the mock exams were apt opportunities to discuss strengths and weaknesses and agree steps forward to fill the gap. Special mention to Jo and Justine, and to Steph and Jinky for seamless front of house comms. All well appreciated.

My son started tutoring with RTC in year 4 of primary school, finally finishing his time with them in the Summer holidays following year 5. During that time we have felt fully supported, with there being a focus on my son as a whole person rather than just ‘getting him through’ his 11+.
