Carl and the chaps did an excellent job replacing our two front doors, constructing a cabinet for our tumble dryer and a wine rack. The quality of the work is excellent. Carl and his team are friendly and helpful and we will certainly use their services again. We have recommended them to others who have been equally pleased with their work.

Carl and his team have done a magnificent job of turning a dark old fashioned ground floor living room and kitchen in a modern town house, into a beautiful open plan kitchen, living and dining room, space, it all looks amazing, an incredible transformation. We had an alcove unit made for us and a full length wall fitted wardrobe. The whole team were fab - from the designs, to the door knobs, to how tidy and considerate they were building the units and their attention to detail. Very professional and friendly and excellent quality.

Update October 2021: We liked our custom shelves/cabinets so much that we had James Carpentry return to install fitted wardrobes in the bedroom (blue wardrobes pictured below). Once again, they did an amazing job and it looks brilliant. Installation and painting was once again done very professionally and in a clean and timely manner. July 2021: We recently bought a flat which didn't have much storage space in it, but had two large alcoves in the living room. After a search of local carpenters, I came across James Carpentry. It is an amazing business and they were so professional from start to finish. Very prompt to answer the initial enquiry and to take measurements/send the designs. During installation and painting, they were very careful to ensure no mess was created/left behind and did a beautiful job. We originally wanted to have completely symmetrical shelves but on installation day they showed us a few options and we ended up liking the asymmetrical style more - which they accommodated! We are so pleased with the final result and will definitely be using James Carpentry again - already put in an enquiry about bedroom storage!

I had two bespoke wardrobes built in our home by James and his team. From the initial consultation with Anna, to James and the team who built the wardrobes and Attila who hand painted them - I could not fault any part of the process. Excellent communication through-out, spoilt for choice in terms of options, well priced and built in a timely fashion to a high standard, by a team who were polite and tidy. We had a fantastic experience with Marcio and his team! It is rare to come across a company that is highly skilled, reliable, and trustworthy. They built and fitted new wardrobes, custom-made 2 alcove bookcases and several shelving units, repaired the staircase and built custom-made under-stairs storage. Moreover, their painter repaired internal walls and painted the entire house, he did an amazing job as well. I'm so glad we went for this company - they are perfectionists and their work is done to a very high standard. What I really appreciate is that they go above and beyond and communicate with you throughout the process: They send photos with updates, they ask questions to make sure they do the job exactly how you want it to be done, and they are thinking outside the box when something gets tricky. On top of that, they are reasonably priced and will suggest the most affordable option for you whenever possible. The moment you employ them they are on the ball, no chasing from our side ever. They are also super lovely to deal with, even our neighbours mentioned that everyone was very polite and quiet. I wouldn't hire anyone else for carpentry or decorating work. Marcio and his father-in-law did a fantastic job putting in some wardrobes in two rooms and flexible hanging/shelves in my converted attic walk-in wardrobe. The finished products look lovely and they built most of it off-site, so only entailed 3.5 days of disruption at home. They are nice guys and tidy workers, leaving the place immaculate each evening. I would definitely recommend them.

Marcio did an amazing job creating high quality storage in our loft. As you can see in the before and after photos they look great. He often went above and beyond to make the finish a very high standard. I would highly recommend.

Marcio and his dad did an extraordinary job at our property, building and fitting two big wardrobes to perfection! From the very start, when Marcio first came round for a site visit, he was knowledgeable, professional and very communicative. His quote followed shortly, and then the works started and finished without any delays. The quality of craftmanship is stunning, we couldn't have asked for anything better than this! Absolute excellence! We will without hesitation pick Marcio again in the future if any new work will need to be undertaken.

I asked Ryan to install a shed, what he did was above and beyond the call of duty, he removed two tons of soil and a load of other trash. Installed a perfect shed on an imperfect base, negotiated wonderfully with a tenant and project managed a waste collection job. Honestly I should have paid him more. He’s brilliant.

Ryan and Lewis did a fantastic job installing two new interior doors, adjusting four others, and adjusting, draughtproofing and installing a new lock on the front door. Ryan has a great reputation and is in high-demand, so lead times before work starts can be long. However, once the team starts work they are tidy and efficient and the work is high quality. We had one follow-up issue with the front door being too tight, and Ryan returned to fix the problem within two days of contact. Overall fantastic service and highly recommend.

I found Orchard Carpentry via Trust a Trader website. Ryan communicates extremely well and has over delivered on the quality of the projects I asked for. Ryan provides a thoughtful and detailed service, considering all issues and resolving. He produced custom made shelving for two rooms and his attention to detail is second to none. My wife and I are very happy indeed. The price was very fair too, not cheap but not expensive. We will be using Ryan for our kitchen refit, within the next few months, as well as any other carpentry requirements. I wholeheartedly recommend Orchard Carpentry.

Ryan and Lewis recently fitted my new kitchen. It was very easy to liaise with them and they were responsive to requests throughout, making helpful suggestions and coordinating the other trades as work progressed. Laszlo installed new engineered wood flooring, releveled floor in one room, changed skirting boards and installed new doors for us. He did a great job, especially with the bay window and considering all doors needed adjusting due to the age of the building. Laszlo is on time, polite and tidy! He takes great care and pride in his work and we will use him again in future!

Las completely fixed and restored our wooden bay windows and installed our wooden garage doors. His craftsmanship is excellent plus he got all the jobs finished exactly on time - as he said he would. Really pleased with all the work.

Lazlo did a fantastic job fitting our new kitchen and we are very happy with the result. He was able to finish the job in a very short time, working even in the weekends. His skills and experience were incredibly valuable and we trusted his advice all along the way. Hugh is a true craftsman and delivered exactly what we had hoped for. He made a pair of beautiful custom alcove units then replaced the ageing skirting boards in our living room. His communication was excellent throughout and he was courteous, hard-working and incredibly skilled. Highly recommended for all carpentry.

Hugh came to rehang my front door and was excellent throughout. He gave good advice on what needed to be done (special new hinges as the door is extremely heavy), was clear with the quotation and when he could fit the work into his schedule. On the day he was on time and very tidy. Hugh is a real craftsman and takes great care in his work. If I need any more carpentry doing, I will have no hesitation in giving him a call.

Hugh was so professional, he totally remodelled a bedroom, moving stud walls and installing the walls for an en-suite. He was tidy, cleaned up after himself, very friendly and always on time. I was so pleased with the work I asked him back to re-roof my summer house and secure a wooden garden gate. If I have more work I will ask him back. Highly recommend.

I hired CVH to build a bookcase and cupboard . I chose CVH as they gave the most competitive quote and time estimate for installation. They were also very professional, practical, and efficient, I’m glad to say that they entirely lived up to my expectations and completed the project on time and on budget. We wanted an understairs wine cellar in solid oak, CVF came up with a great design and executed it to perfection. The craftsmanship is absolute top quality and the lengths they went to to ensure the oak matched our flooring was exceptional. We first employed Neil to build a bespoke storage unit in our utility room. Neil was fantastic. He was great at translating our ideas into paper and worked quickly and efficiently. We were so happy with the work, we asked him to build bespoke wardrobes for our master and second bedroom. He has done a brilliant job and the end product exceeded our expectations. Neal made me a long wanted under stairs cupboard and it does everything I wanted - holds 3 sets of golf clubs, 5 people’s shoes, laptops, monitors and printer . We looked at companies that specialise in under stairs cupboards but their modules did not suit our needs. It is totally bespoke and holds everything that was previously all around my hallway behind closed doors! Neal is a very efficient, neat and tidy worker who produced a very high quality product. I would definitely recommend him if you are looking for some carpentry or joinery work.

Paul recently built-in some additional storage cupboards in our kitchen that matched the ones we had already. He did a good job and we would recommend him as a competent tradesman.

We needed some built in cupboards and floating shelves in an alcove and are absolutely thrilled with Paul's work.
