I use Key Drive every few weeks for car hire. Good service, nice cars with decent spec (not like the base models you get from the national hire companies). No hard upsell of additional insurance, again, unlike the nationals. I particularly like being able to drop the car back later in the evening and drop the keys in the key safe. This is really helpful for me, I can do a full days work without having to worry about getting the hire car back before 5pm. I’ve read the negative comments on customer service, but let’s be clear, this is not a huge national rental company with foreign private equity funding, it doesn’t offer the plush offices (which you’re paying for by the way) and cringeworthy Americanised customer sales experience. Quite frankly, that suits me.

Excellent service and highly recommended company to deal with. I hired a large van to collect my personal belongings and furniture from the south of Spain. All the required documentation was prepared in advance together with the breakdown insurance, driving abroad insurance and green card. Van was good and the service provided by Stuart was exceptional.
