This place!! I dont have enough praise for these guys. My dog Frank was in there more then he was out. He loved going here, me not so much. But the love, attention and care he got from every vet he saw there was amazing. It was hard to see him go but knowing he'd been cared for so much by this vets helped heal a little. The receptionist we're also as amazing. Getting him in as soon as possible. I'll always be thankful.

So caring with our beautiful boy Bane,we lost our boy but their compassion and care made a heartbreaking decision more bearable.Thank you all so much .

Fabulous practice and staff, very approachable and personable. Make you feel very welcome and obviously love animals, can leave your pet knowing they are in safe hands. Great communication from all staff kept informed re pets progress, nothing too much trouble. V reasonably priced in todays times! Wouldn’t use any other practice

Andy has cared for my own and rescued animals for over 10 years. From birth to death, I can say they have had kind and compassionate treatment. I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else.

Vets appointments can be traumatic for pets and owners but the staff always make sure everyone is comfortable. When we lost our cat they have offered as much compassion and help as they could. They truly cared for him when he was still alive and when we had to say good bye they were so professional and delicate. All the staff are always very helpful and polite. We’ve never had a problem with accommodating appointments even in emergency situation. Highly recommended vet!

Always been able to see my dog promptly when not well no matter day or night. My dog is very anxious and they have always made him as relaxed as possible when seeing him and given him the best treatment.

Not many cats enjoy a visit to the Vet' and mine is no exception. However careful and compassionate attention resulted in a stress free visit for annual booster injections. Even the bill was stress free.

I unfortunately had to say goodbye to my four year old cat earlier this year. The staff at West Mount were absolutely fantastic throughout the whole process. Understanding and supportive at every step! I couldn't have asked for a better team to care for Wonder, or to support me and my family through a very difficult time.

Excellent veterinary practice. Better than one I can name. These actually care about the animals and listen to the owners concerns. Receptionists are always polite and helpful. The vets at calder are always helpful and polite. The only thing that let's them down slightly is the consultation price. £52 for a 5 minute appointment. 9/10

Excellent service. I took my kitten in for neutering and I was felt at such ease. Reception staff were incredible, as well as the nurses and vet. I was felt knowing my cat was in great hands. They showed love to my cat (marshmallow) and it made me feel at great ease knowing she is with people who genuinely care about her. Aftercare was explained really well and I’ve had 3 other cats neutered elsewhere but it was the first time I’ve seen such clean results. My kitten was up and about within hours and felt great and I know this is down to the excellent service she’s received. If there is anyone to register your pets with I’d highly recommend Caldervets.

Moved to Calder Vets from another practice after being unhappy with the service there. I couldn’t be more pleased that I chose this practice and have been treated in an extremely friendly and professional manner since day one. The care and attention to detail has been second to none. Our cat is very relaxed and comfortable with the team and their passion for their profession really stands out.

Many thanks to Raj & Lynn for their compassion & care with helping us through putting our old border terrier to sleep. They really did make it easier for us, nothing was too much trouble. Lynn even teared up, and she had never met our dog before. What a lovely practice.

Very friendly and caring. Managed to fit my dog in for an appppointment within an hour of calling. Very attentive and thoughtful. The vet was exceptional at putting my dog at ease and very thorough with her examination. She even gave my dog a treat afterwards. I would highly recommend.

We brought our new puppy along here to get his first immunisations along with micro-chipping. Us not being registered here though it was pretty quick & straight forward getting an appointment within a quick reasonable time frame (waiting 7days to be exact). Raj was the vet in charge that day & gave us a really warm very. Mylo was made to feel super relaxed & did not feel a thing. Would definitely recommend to any family or friends. Since moving vets this is the first time I have had to bring one of dogs. He is usually a very nervous dog but right away, we were met by friendly staff who put ourselves and Archie at ease. This was continued when we met the vet who made archie feel comfortable, didn't try to push products on us, explained possible treatments and costs, and was knowledgeable and friendly throughout. We ledt feeling like even the vet had Archies best interests in mind opposed to trying to rack up the highest bill. Best vets visit since he was a pup, now he's 8! Would definitely recommend.

Rushed my cat for emergency and have been seen as soon as we arrived. I was welcomed by friendly staff and vet was taking seriously her condition. They have good equipment in place for closer check up and could target on time abdominal leak which was deadly to my cat and emergency surgery was successfully performed. After 3 weeks she is recovered well and scar is healing well. I will be forever grateful to surgeon and team taking good care of my cat and for keeping me informed. People here truly care about pets and my cat’s behaviour shows she was comfortable being there when before she had big stress going to vets. She has been diagnosed with lymphoma and unfortunately our journey will continue with Cancer Care for pets in Huddersfield. I was offered the treatment here, but must to admit price was rock high, however, referral was made same day when requested. I trust this place and would recommend to others.

Popped in a spoke to them about our Nervous and Reactive Mali. He'd had a very bad experience at another vets while quite young which makes regular boosters etc difficult. Got to say that the vet and vet nursing staff were fantastic with him. Spending time to put him at ease. Even treating him in an open area rather than the confines of a consultation room. Very positive experience for both him and us.

So we bought a dwarf Syrian hamster. Got everything there, cage, wood shavings, food, toys, the cage is big and was only £40, way cheaper than the big online stores.

We lost our little staffy 'Stella' in August. Even though it was busy, the reception staff were absolutely brilliant. I personally want to thank the vet who looked after Stella and the family that day. Truly passionate about her work, cared for us (the owners), and a true support through one of the worst days of my life. Thank you all. We will forever be greatfull 👍

Caroline and the team are always supportive and reassuring with all of our many pets. Have helped us through some difficult goodbyes and very grateful to all.
