Amazing Sunday roast. Roast pork, roast beef, and half a roast chicken all served on a platter with amazing yorkshire puddings. Fresh vegetables stuffing balls and gravy. What more would one want on a Sunday! Top notch food and service! Considering we did not have a booking and they were exceptionally busy, the amazing staff still managed to accommodate us. Thank you so much.

I visited this pub/restaurant for a solo business meal. The staff were some of the friendliest, most welcoming restaurant staff I have ever encountered. The lady who I assumed was the manager treated me like a member of her family and could not do enough for me! Grace, who was waiting on my table was very attentive and friendly. The food was amazing. They said I would be back and they were right - I’ll definitely be going back here. The atmosphere was so cosy and welcoming!

If you can sit in the garden area it's beautiful. The service was spot on, really quick to take your drink order and bring it out. I had the roast, probably the nicest gravy I've had, you can get extra Yorkshires for free but the meal was huge. Friend had fish and chips, massive fish and loads of chips. It's about £17-£18 for a main and £10 a starter. Definitely need to book if you're going before 3pm at weekends.

Really nice Sunday roast. We were served by Camdyn and she was so lovely! We mentioned my Mum’s birthday as a passing comment, Camdyn remembered and brought out a candle in the dessert. Such a lovely thought! Thank you for a great afternoon :)

Stunning pub both inside and out. Spacious but cozy dining areas, all separated by oak beams and on various levels - very quirky. Lovely open fire in the bar and one of the best beer gardens in Surrey with the stream running right through it. An ideal place all year round with superb food and service..!

This is my second time in Shere and at The Dabbling Duck. I came last year as well. I travel from New Zealand and love coming to this place with my family here in England. Great food and staff.

Cafe with quite a large garden area (partially covered - they have a heated yurt!) which is well done up and nice to sit in. Good selection of cakes and drinks with table service. A bit pricey though!

First time came and amazing village… we had latte and duck (which is full)breakfast which was very delicious. What amazed me was the breakfast was hot till half way through as I ate slowly… lol. Anyw, that was super tasty for me. The whole experience was lovely and we planned to come back again some time in the near future.

Lovely dog friendly cafe in a beautiful village with lots of outdoor seating. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. They have a good selection of lunch options. The only critique we would make is that the coffee and walnut cake had little to no coffee in it. But lunch was delicious.

Really good food. Service 100. Don't let the location deceive you, worth the drive.

We had a very memorable dinner at Carlo’s Trattoria ! Despite booking a table for 22 of us at very short notice , Bonnie and Jay went above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing dinner for my family gathering. The service was attentive and impeccable throughout the whole evening and the food truly delicious with very generous portions. We all had the fixed menu with a selection of starters ( the fried calamari are the best I have eaten in a very long time - even my Sicilian auntie thought they were tastier than the ones in Sicily ) followed by the prawns risotto and fresh ravioli with porcini mushroom and sage which were both heavenly! We ended the dinner with an amazing selection of desserts, all beautifully presented. I live in London but I will definitely drive back to Guildford just to eat at Carlo’s again!. The food here is beyond amazing. We chose tiger prawns followed by chicken breast & lamb from the very reasonably priced lunch menu (£20 for 2 courses). Each dish was cooked to perfection and presented as if on MasterChef. The staff are friendly and the chefs clearly know their onions (pun intended) and cook with passion. We very much look forward to going back!

We were sitting outside with some Samosa and hot drinks the restaurant was full and was better just to take something light as TA The place offer alot of interesting items to buy as they delish Pineapple chutney and spiced chocolate bars, great ideas as a gift! No mention the location absolutely amazing we combined with great walk from Guildford it's was a fantastic day.

We have been here a handful of times now and taken various people who have all enjoyed it. A lovely area outside with great food, everyone always has the Chicken Biryani and we highly recommend this dish! Such a nice place to bring friends and family! The new added barn looks nice too if you would rather sit inside

My friends and I were exploring the countryside and ended up at Mandira’s Kitchen for a quick lunch. We were so excited to find an Indian restaurant which we heard England is so well known for. The food was excellent and the staff was incredibly friendly and hospitable. Claire especially made our experience so special. Will definitely recommend to future travelers or if I am ever back in the area!

Our visit to Mandira’s Kitchen at Silent Pool was amazing. Claire’s welcome and her guidance through the menu was exceptional, and we felt very much at home. The staff team were all friendly and ensured we were well looked after. We had a selection of “small plates” to experience the rich tapestry of authentic Indian cuisine, fresh and full of aromatic flavours. We sat outside on the terrace overlooking the pool. It was the high point of the day, and a wonderful experience. Highly recommended - and we look forward to returning when back down in Surrey. Jon and Karen

Lovely pub, with outdoor seating and parking, in an enviable position in Shere. Friendly service, great food and nice ambience. Prices are on the punchy side (£20 for a Sunday roast!), but tourism in the area is rife, so I guess they should capitalise. It does spoil it for locals, though. Would definitely recommend

Amazing country pub serving food and drinks. Only stopped in for a quick drink. The drinks were really good and the service was second to none. I'm really glad that we popped in. They also served mulled wine, which we only realised on leaving. Thankfully, they offered it in a takeaway cup.

Very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. We were given great, considering service. The food was delicious (we had rump steak, sea bass, squid accompanied by chips). All was served as requested. Many thanks to the team for our nice experience! We'll be back!

Atmosphere is lovely. Food was nice apart from the roast potatoes that were very hard, dishes arrived fairly cold. Kids pasta and tomato sauce is £10, and a very small potion. Our 4 year old ate two portions and we were charged £20 for pasta. Begrudgingly the second bowl was taken off after asking.

Food was so tasty I will definitely have to go back. I had the lamb shank shepherds pie with a pint of Surrey drop locally brewed Ale 🍺 which was also very tasty. All followed up with a sticky toffee pudding to share 👌🏻

Friendly staff, Tom served us in this beautiful village pub with great food options. We had a lovely meal this evening and a super shepherd's pie! Even luckier was the festive decorations had just gone up and it gave an even more romantic atmosphere.

We visited the pub off the back of The Holiday movie. However, the experience went way beyond that. When the 8 of us arrived we were told it was fully booked. Luckily we had a booking. The staff let us know they only had 3 staff serving so please bear with them. The service was 11 out 10. Just brilliant and the food was fantastic. Along with the village atmosphere, the family lunch was just brilliant. Thank you
