Wonderful dining experience. In my naivety, I thought I was booking a restaurant, not Casa Villi, so venue certainly exceeded expectations. The staff were friendly and attentive and the food and wine delicious. Mr Zilli popping out to say goodbye was an added bonus. I genuinely did not expect him to be whipping up our food. An experience I would recommend and hope to repeat.

An amazing surprise lunch for my Dadā€™s 60th birthday. Casa Zilli were absolutely amazing! Not only was the food outstanding, but Aldo Zilli himself came, making my Dadā€™s birthday surprise even more special. His lovely wife Nikki was fantastic- she went above and beyond to make my dadā€™s birthday one to remember. Aldo and his team came and cooked the most delicious Italian food- the pictures speak for themselves. Thank you so much again to Casa Zilli for creating the perfect birthday lunch for our family and friends.

Excellent service and good Italian food in large portions, which was enjoyed by the whole family. Drinks were reasonably priced and the service was quick and efficient. Even though we were a party of 8 there was no service charge added to the bill. Very classy, highly recommended.

Visited this restaurant on a whim whilst with friends. Although it was a spur of the moment decision we weren't disappointed. Being a Friday night we were lucky to get a table for 5. The food was great. Everyone was very jealous of the Chicken Milanese which I had with the beef Ragu (grain and grass!). We went for a mid-range red wine which was delicious. Ambience was great. The only thing letting the restaurant down on our visit was the service. Most of the staff are great but there was surly waitress who did not like me pointing out that she was grating cling film into people's food along with the parmesan. Suffice to say I did not get offered any cheese šŸ˜…

The Joshua Tree

30 Common Rd, Earlswood, Redhill RH1 6HG, UK | Indian Restaurant
P: 01737 211994

Rating: 4.6 (501) Price Level:

This was our first visit and sadly can't foresee a repeat in the near future as I live in the US and my friend lives in Norway. Our AirB&B host, Nancy, highly recommended it, and she was right. Food, service, and atmosphere were all superlative. Coupled with great value, it's an absolute gem of a place. We shared their Daily Special (sorry, can't remember the name) because they only had 1 portion left). It was a generously portioned dish beautifully served in a clay pot. It was so delicious that you wouldn't leave any single morsel. The staff were warmly welcoming and attentive without being intrusive - just perfect. The chef (or the owner? I wasn't sure) sent us another dish of their delicious Deep Fried Okra (on the house) just because they saw how much I enjoyed it. I agree with Nancy. We highly recommend it!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Joshua Tree Restaurant in Redhill, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with a cozy atmosphere that made us feel right at home. The service was top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff . But the real star of the show was the food ā€“ oh, the food! We ordered a variety of dishes, and each one was more delicious than the last. The flavors were bold, the presentation was impeccable, and the portion sizes were generous. Overall, I would highly recommend Joshua Tree Restaurant to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience in Redhill. We can't wait to go back!

We've been here a few times and are very pleased with the taste of the food, its freshness, and authentic Asian flavors. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. We visited today, Mother's Day, and the staff ensured all the mothers had an amazing meal by offering free drinks and desserts. I will definitely make a point to come here for the next Motherā€™s Day. Additionally, on Sundays, the kids' menu is free, and my little one enjoyed both the food and the painting activities.

After a long uphill walk any Pub in the Storm !! But this one was a Cracker. Lovely welcome and soon pints of Green King IPA (Ā£4.50) and Speckled Hen were drawn from the well kept cellar Lots folk around we're taking luncheon from a different and interesting menu. Next time the range of Omelettes on the lunch menu are reasonably priced (Ā£8.00) and well worth it from what we saw. Others enjoyed the burger and some the White Bait. Only slight comment perhaps would be there was no Guest Ale and as both local Breweries (Godstone & Larkins) offer really fine ales it would be nice to see this pub support at least one of them. But that's a beer monster opinion. It does not detract from a fine pub with loadsa interesting stuff to enjoy. We will return.

Hands down the best pub in the local area. Food is excellent, staff are always really nice. Plus, the pub is now dog-friendly and has been for a few years. Dogs canā€™t go in the pub itself, however the undercover seating area is lovely (as pictured here) and comfortable, so we were quite happy being able to take our pooch out for lunch with us. The food and beers are really reasonably priced too. Highly recommend.

The Bletchingley Arms

Perfectly nice pub. This pub has something for everyone. The staff are friendly and helpful and there is a very big menu with lots of choices for all. The food was good too. Great outdoor area. Lovely shed pods. They also had an outdoor pizza truck. Children and dogs well looked after but this is a deceptively big pub, so plenty of room to sit quietly as a couple of you want to in the bar or restaurant areas.

The Iced lattes were okayish, the Mushroom Risotto and The Garlic Bread with Mozzarella were top notch but the shares platter of prawns and Satay was a let down, the chicken Satay was stiff and the prawns weren't juicy either, they can surely improve on the price point as well. I ended up spending close to 50 pounds for a Dinner. The atmosphere is really good, nice sense of music, fantastic staff members, took the last order at 9 PM & the decor is praiseworthy. However, they should seriously consider providing some discount coupons in the weekdays on the mains considering the competitors have got a better pricing.

This pub is welcoming and has a nice mix of traditional and gastro in the menu. It is family friendly and the restaurant part was busy for a lunch service. The kastu burger could have been more generous than a wafer thin cut of chicken. Other than that the food was really good. Slightly pricey for the kastu burger however, the seating and service makes it worthwhile. Worth a visit for families.

I've been there on the restaurant's 10 years anniversary. They had live music šŸŽ¶ and an Ā£10 pizza offer. We had some starters and pizza. I enjoyed the starters, but the pizza, unfortunately, wasn't that great. But that could be because it was very busy that day. I would like to return and try again before deciding on the quality. Red Barn

Tandridge Ln, Blindley Heath, Lingfield RH7 6LL, UK | Pub
P: 01342 830820

Rating: 4.3 (1529) Price Level:

Such a lovely venue, decor is authentic and it's a huge place with many different spaces including a secret garden. Would be fab for hosting an event. The menu had not been updated on the website so three of our party were disappointed that there was no banoffee pie. But not the end of the world. I ordered the bavette steak, medium rare. It came rare but I didn't want to interrupt the meal by sending it back. It was disappointing as not to my preference and the brandy peppercorn sauce seemed to be split, it wasn't thick instead watery. Flavour was fine. Service was also fine, little things like having to ask for steak knives detracted from the basic service that you would expect in an establishment like this. Mu sister had the hake which was quite a small portion. My dad had the fish pie which he enjoyed. Did like that they're dog friendly and recieved a warm welcome when we arrived. Staff were nice.

We have our annual post Xmas celebration here every year with family who arenā€™t local to us and this is our midway meeting point . I have to say this year the welcome and service was better than ever . Because there were a lot of us they put us in the private dining area and were attentive throughout. Food was delicious and enjoyed by everyone The menu offers traditional pub grub like burgers and fish and Chips but also offers other tasty options like my cod loin on a spicy layer of beans. Can highly recommend the sticky toffee pudding and brownies too. Log fires warm and welcoming too..

Really nice pub with good food. The service is friendly and the vibe inside is really nice with other pub goers seeming super friendly and chill. Lots of seating and tables. The food was good. Baked Camembert starter was delicious. The fish I had was really nice too with good flavours however it was just slightly overcooked for me (it wasnā€™t super overcooked or anything but it has been cooked a tiny bit longer than that just cooked point).the sauce the fish was in was also a little bit too salty for me. The pie and mash was really nice too.

Where do I start ! Itā€™s a mixture of feelings about the whole experience we have encountered. First of all , I must say itā€™s one of the most beautifully decorated pubs Iā€™ve ever been to. Itā€™s clean , vibrant and cozy. Simply sublime! Iā€™ve given 5* based on the atmosphere.. We booked on a special occasion. It was my partners birthday. I have specifically asked on the booking that candle on a dessert, which never happened..We arrived little early to have a drink in the bar, my fault I didnā€™t request , but staff never bothered either. It would have been nice to be asked to have a drink in the bar! More money for you but then hey ! Weā€™ve ordered a bottle of wine , waiter just left it on the table without even opening it, not asking for me to try and it was extremely unprofessional I thought. Especially the restaurant wasnā€™t even busy !!! The food was good. My partners steak was amazing, although my mackerel dish was lacking flavour. When I added salt, lemon and pepper, it was good. But not something I would order again. Overall, the management needs to take a moment of training the staff i thought. This is a beautiful establishment and I really think it deserves more. Little touches can go long way . I wish them all the success and I will return, but not in a hurry!

Mill House Beefeater

Brighton Rd, Salfords, Redhill RH1 5BT, UK | Steak House
P: 01737 767277

Rating: 4.2 (1592) Price Level:

If youā€™re staying at the adjacent hotel this restaurant is a handy option, but after visiting one weekday evening I didnā€™t leave convinced it was worth travelling any further for. When I arrived none of the tables in the bar area seemed to be getting cleared or cleaned after use, despite it being very quiet, and the food menu itself was filthy and sticky. Ordering food and drinks at the bar was easy and the member of staff friendly enough, and the service time for the burger was decent. The portion size was alright for the price but presentation a little basic, with the cheese in the burger remaining unmelted. It was a bit annoying once served to have to trek to the other side of the restaurant to collect cutlery though - it would be better to be advised itā€™s self serve when ordering, or given I was the only diner present, for the staff to offer to collect instead. Taste was okay but certainly couldnā€™t be considered great value. Thereā€™s a decent enough range of drinks available at sensible prices and the large garden area is nice for sunny days. Perhaps I caught it on a bad day but everything else felt rather average though.
