Lovely evening with great food and a banging Mrs. Whole bass and falafel for mains. The pita and dips served as an hors d'oeuvres were lovely too.

Our first time visiting Rocca after raving reviews from friends. The restaurant is in the most historic part of EG situated in one of the oldest buildings. The inside is atmospheric and staff are attentive and very welcoming. The cocktail menu is on another level with so many to chose from. Under £10 for a cocktail and the quantity and strength of them is generous. The main meal of the mix grill is probably the best meal I have eaten in any restaurant in EG. The portion was immense and the quality of meats on the plate was first class. My other half had the swordfish and again the portion size was very generous. It was cooked to perfection and very tasty. We could not sample the desserts as the main meal was so filling. We will be back to Rocca for another visit and bring our friends and family. Thank you to management and staff at this must go to restaurant in our hometown.

Had an absolutely wonderful dinner at Rocca Mediterranean Kitchen! The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. From the appetizers to the main course, every dish was perfectly cooked and full of authentic Mediterranean flavors. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff were attentive and friendly throughout the evening. Highly recommend for anyone craving a delicious Mediterranean meal at East Grinstead

The food was so delicious. I definitely recommend the meat platter. It serves two, but we couldn’t finish it all. Great value for money.

The waiter did tell us beforehand that the food was very authentic and there wasn’t any sugar etc however I booked a Korma expecting it to be mild however it tasted spicy which I’m sure as many people are aware of, in UK Indian restaurants Kormas are one of the only non-spicy curries, with creamy textures and sweet flavours. The waiter did kindly offer to remake it or give me some extra cream so the added cream made it more enjoyable for me! Came as a bit of a shock to me. But very good for spice lovers! The roti was flavoursome and thick.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Krish is front of house and was warm, friendly, great with recommendations for food and quietly attentive. His brother Dino is an amazing chef who was also serving the delicious fresh dishes. We are planning to visit Sri Lanka and he chatted to us about it and has strengthened our desire to go there. We visited the restaurant after seeing the 5 star reviews on trip advisor and we’re so glad that we did. We don’t live in the area but would go out of our way to come down here again just to visit this fabulous place . It’s cosy, nicely buzzy, Sri Lankan music playing softly in the background. Would be great for families, couples and friends. The food which I can’t begin to describe was out of this world. See pictures for beautiful food. Strongly recommend if you love freshly cooked flavourful food. The veg rolls and aubergine curry in particular are to die for…

What a fabulous restaurant! A hidden gem 🥳 The maître d' was friendly and very helpful indeed. His mother is in the kitchen making the food. It’s all authentic srilankan food. Made with coconut milk - no dairy. My vegetarian friend was delighted with all the menu choices she had! And we both loved loved the dishes that we chose💕. Definitely recommend this restaurant. Treat yourself to something new and refreshing. The ambiance was great, service splendid and food was delightful! Photo’s of the food don’t do it justice as it was all delicious, so much so that we already starting eating one before the pic was taken and forgot to take anymore pics!

How lucky l was to be taken to this charming restaurant for dinner on my birthday. There were vegan options (for two of us) and vegetarian too. Tasty dishes, some new ones discovered and a good selection of drinks. The staff could not have been more friendly. An excellent experience of Sri Lanka!

I am so happy that such an amazing Italian restaurant has finally. opened in East Grinstead. Since we went with my husband for the first time in January I can't count the number of times we visited since then. The chef comes from Italy and you can definitely feel the Italian atmosphere! The food is amazing! I absolutely loved the arancini, Cozze, Calamari and their seafood linguine. I can also confirm that their pizza is the best in East Grinstead. :) For a true Italian food and atmosphere please come and visit so that our town can enjoy this restaurant for many years!

Quaint authentic Italian restaurant in the middle of East Grinstead, this restaurant is an absolute hidden gem. For a truly authentic Nepalese meal, you’ll find no better location for miles. I visited with my partner on New Year’s Day as we stayed at a Five Star Spa close by, the food here was by far much better than the hotel restaurant we were staying at and at 1/3 the price, this was a no brainier as a destination once we discovered it. The aubergine parmigiana starter was absolutely delicious and their pasta mains were absolutely perfect 👌🏿 With a very “Mamma’s house” kind of vibe throughout, filled with intriguing artwork and eclectic pieces perfect for capturing a young families attention. This was a great find

We had a meal here and the food was amazing! So nice, and I have to say exceeded my expectations by a long way. The starters were beautiful and the main course was divine! I would also like to say that we had Bella and Ella serve us, and they were amazing. Both girls went above and beyond and made our whole experience even better. They had great knowledge of the dishes and even recommended the main. They were polite, professional, and really attentive. Thank you, girls, and we shall come back to eat again and try the other dishes for sure. Visited again with family, and again, Bella served us, and she was so polite and helpful. The food was amazing and again so impressed with everything. I think this will now be the go-to place on special occasions for us as it is so good. Thank you all again.

Very cosy Italian restaurant just slightly out of the centre of East Grinstead! The interior is very cute interior design! The food was great - the pizza was super filling! The prawn linguine also had a generous number of prawns in it! Staff were super friendly as well!

At Tarana Lingfield was simply spectacular! The Michael Jackson tribute, accompanied by incredible dancers and a stunning showgirl, made for an unforgettable evening. The performance was electrifying, and the atmosphere was buzzing with excitement. But the highlight was undoubtedly the food – absolutely mind-blowing. Every dish was exquisite, bursting with flavour and beautifully presented. It's clear that Tarana takes great pride in its culinary offerings. Thank you for a wonderful evening. I can't wait to return!

Our favourite place to be!!!! We cannot fault this place at all. Jahan and all of his staff are simply the best & cannot do enough for you. Both the Thai & Tarana dishes are all so tasty and our meals are always enjoyable! It's an amazing touch that if you aren't sure what you fancy...you can order from both! The brilliant cocktail menu is so great too 🍹🍸 Thank you for always being so welcome and a regular friendly place for us to be!

I come to Lingfield once or twice a year. I love coming here because it is such a quiet, quintessential English village. I always top it off by a visit to Tarana , which offers both Indian and Thai cuisine. Always a very pleasant experience.

Full recommend visiting this restaurant. Good, atmosphere and prices were exceptional. Staff very accommodating as needed a quiet table as girlfriend is hard of hearing. Food came out fast and dishes were plentiful. Will definitely be going back and with friends too. Bar is also a very enjoyable place to sit and drink. Very welcoming.

Great people, great food. I have been going here for years and it is a must visit whenever I am in the area. Super friendly people who make you feel like family. Great tapas and great meals if you prefer more of a sit-down experience. I love standing at the bar or sitting in the dining room. Love this place.

I've been dining at la farola for over 20 years and I've yet to encounter another establishment that has the friendliness and attententiveness of the staff here. p.s. the food is exceptional. make sure you try the paella (you will have to order 24 hours in advance)

We had an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. My family and I celebrated Christmas lunch here, and everything exceeded our expectations. The staff were incredibly accommodating, the food was exceptional, and the portion sizes were generous. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a perfect setting for our gathering. With a party of 18, we were all thoroughly impressed by the outstanding service. A big thank you to the entire team for working so hard on Christmas Day. We will definitely be back!

Wonderful pub in Oxted. Smiley staff, beautiful location and child friendly. I had fish and chips and it was such a delicious batter. I took a picture after I started as it looked mouth watering.

Lovely food (my 10yr old son started eating the "delicious" ice cream stuffed pancake before I could take the pic 😆), excellent portion of Sunday roast with good selection of well cooked veg. Nice sized kids portion, he still had room for garlic bread and an adult sized pud!! 13yr old enjoyed cooking his own steak to his liking (meal adjusted for his dairy allergy no problem) and he loved the dairy free chocolate cake dessert, good sized portion too. My creme brulée was also excellent. Good value, good service, good atmosphere. Will happily return, thank you!!

Our 4th midweek winter lunch in 3 years. Hopefully there will be many more. We drive 30 miles to make the visit and it is definitely worth the hour travel time (one way). An early lunch slot avoids a well occupied car park. Same manager since our first lunch. Confident, well mannered and attentive. Booking a table in advance is worthwhile.

Had our work Christmas due here last night and I cannot fault this beautiful restaurant. The food was incredible, the drinks were great! The service was beyond brilliant they were so attentive with us and made sure we had all we needed. I don’t normally leave reviews but I will defiantly be recommending this place to everyone and anyone! Love love loved it!

So normally when i see mussels on the menu i’m disappointed, but to my surprise they were super fresh and the marinere was perfect, steak was excellent too. Will definitely be back. Owner was a lovely chap too

Amazing service and outstanding sunday lunch highly recommended. The staff where very welcoming and attentive when you need them and we didn't book but they made sure we got a table. Do book though as it gets busy and it's busy for a reason. We will definitely be back. Thank you to the plough and compliments to the chefs.

The Plough Pub is a hidden gem with a surprising twist – fantastic Thai food. The menu is packed with fresh, authentic flavors, from rich green curries to perfectly crispy spring rolls. The pub itself is cozy and welcoming, with friendly staff who make you feel at home. It’s a great spot for a casual meal or a drink, with a nice selection of beers and wines to pair with your food. The garden area is perfect for summer evenings, adding to the charm. If you’re after something a bit different from your usual pub grub, The Plough is well worth a visit.

When you get to spend a night in a room that you’d model your future “man cave” in, then you know you’re off to a good start. Service was great from the start, and while at first, unsure about the Thai menu in a classic British Pub, was pleasantly surprised to find some of the best food, Thai or otherwise, we’ve had in a while whilst eating out. Couldn’t fault a thing! Can’t wait to return.

Have eaten there a couple of times for breakfast and it was lovely. However have just had a Sunday Roast there, for the first time, and can tell you, it won't be the last time. It was absolutely superb! Three of us had the Venison, which melted in your mouth, and one had Beef, which was equally delicious! All the trimmings were beautifully cooked and presented and it was plentiful! The best Sunday Roast we have had out anywhere, and great value for money! Highly recommend!😍

We came here for the Sunday roast, the food was good and the portion is huge. The owner was friendly and came over and had a quick chat. There's an outdoor seating as well.

Had the most amazing Sunday Lunch at The Royal Oak in Dormansland, a lovely little villiage in Sussex So much choice for us and the kids, owners are vegan and such great hosts. All their desserts were vegan, they even have Mr Whippy ice cream for the kids. We found them on the Happy Cow app. So glad we went, it was my son’s birthday too and they made such a fuss of him. If you’re ever near do pop in, you won’t be disappointed!

Popped in for a quiet girls night dinner. Food was superb, landlady is super friendly and nice group of locals to chat with. Just what a meal at your local should be, excellent and thank you for a lovely evening!

Really love this place. Firstly the service and staff are great, polite and professional. Secondly the quality of the meat and the food is absolutely fantastic. The steaks are cooked to perfection the cuts are just perfect. I can't recommend enough. The chimi churri is also much nicer than anywhere else I have ever been. The nicest touch with a steak is the malbec salt they serve with the steak 😋

They made a very good caipirinha The burger and sirlon were very tasty The suggestion of a full-bodied wine was the finishing touch I really recommend it

Dined here with my partner and we had the special cut ribeye and fillet and they were absolutely amazing. We've had our fair share of steak and this was definitely above our past experiences (and amazing for the price honestly). The dessert and sides were also fantastic. The staff and atmosphere was very warm and charming - I could really tell that they were passionate about their food and service and made for an overall wonderful experience. My partner and I aren't local but we would definitely visit the area to try this steak again.
