We ordered a takeaway for collection. Delicious food, speedy and friendly service and affordable prices. I would go back.

Had a marvellous meal here this evening. We were greeted warmly and offered a table opposite the bar. The place is pleasantly decorated and looks fresh and clean. Tables have clean bright white table cloths and a cotton napkin in a metal ring, you can see your reflection in the clean cutlery. All the plates given to you are hot. The staff were friendly and attentive and whilst they didn't have bottles of Cobra, they had an alternative called Bangla which we tried and it was excellent. We had 1 plain and 1 spicy popadom each with pickles and they were both fresh and excellent. We skipped the starters and went straight for mains with some sides. 1 lamb dhansak, 1 chicken tikka dhansak, 1 saag bhaji (spinach), 1 bombay aloo (potatoes), 1 mushroom rice and 2 peshwari naan breads. We shared one large bottle of Bangla between us and just as a taste test, we also shared 1 half pint of Cobra draught. We definitely recommend sticking with the Bangla bottle beer, it had far more body and flavour. I have been eating curries regularly since 1984, so I like to think that I know a great curry when I've had one. I have to say that this was up there with the best. In fact the lamb dhansak was so delicious, I ordered an extra one to take away! Perfect heat, depth of flavour and the lamb was so tender and tasty. Absolutely marvellous. The saag and bombay aloo were extremely delicious too, as we're the peshwari naans. We ate a little of the mushroom rice and it too was worthy of eating by itself, so as not to mask its flavour. All round one of the best curry house experiences that I have had in my lifetime. A complete and utter unexpected pleasure on my part, since this is the first time I have been back in this restaurant since 2007, when it was Le Spice. The total bill, including drinks and my extra takeaway dhansk was £55. Very reasonable. Hot towels were served once we had finished eating and After Eight mints were served with the bill. They also do a Banquet night on a Wednesday for £15.95 per person for any starter, any main course, any side dish and rice or a bread included. Which is excellent value. This restaurant is highly recommended by me. I will be returning and I may even have my 60th birthday party here in a couple of years time. Thank you for a truly wonderful culinary experience.

Met up with friends as we were nearby. Service was excellent with a very friendly and knowledgeable lady serving us. Persuaded to try vegetable samosas/lamb as a starter - delicious. Followed by curry, which was equally delicious. The sausage and mash/chicken burger and chips was equally tasty and generous, as was the sticky toffee pud. Very happy to recommend this place, which we also discovered that some of the building dates from the 1200s. Fyi the car park is on the other side of the road, opposite the Harrow Inn, which fooled our group on arrival.

I came here and had the best curry ever! I now travel nearly 5 miles just for the curry! Fresh cooking at its finest. The owners are super friendly, and the pub vibe is lovely.

What a beautiful setting for a lovely meal. The staff were very attentive and made sure we had a lovely time. The food was delicious. We will definitely be going back again and will be recommending it to all of our friends.

My wife woke up and decided we should go out for Sunday lunch so I googled “riverside restaurants near me” and got the best ever recommendation in The Halliford Mere Lakes. What a find. Fantastic customer service and superb food in a wonderful setting. Currently working off a reduced menu to enable chef to produce top quality dishes given the restrictions on supplies caused by the market and the heat. Clever use of the best ingredients available and enough choice to satisfy the most critical palate. We even managed a beautiful walk through the trout lakes before desert and delicious decaf filter coffee. Lots of extra brownie points for my choice of venue at short notice. We WILL be back!

A very tranquil trout fishery where took a very relaxing stroll around the lakes and saw many trout flip themselves out of the water. This is a very nice spot to come to and have a nice, relaxing, contemplative drink or some food next to the lakes, while enjoying the sheer beauty of nature that surrounds the restaurant. We also saw an amazing herron which flew over the lake and a number of super young ducklings. The lady told us that the fishery is a catch and release. The size of trout in there is substantial, but I am guessing that anything above 8lb will be a massive catch and a rarity in there.

I had an absolutely amazing experience at Soya! From the moment I walked in, the ambiance was warm and welcoming. The staff was incredibly attentive, ensuring everything was perfect throughout my visit. The food was nothing short of incredible – authentic, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The service was outstanding, with the staff always nearby to help, answer questions, and make recommendations. I’ll definitely be coming back soon!

Literally, the best Korean restaurant I’ve ever been recently. I wonder why they haven’t been on Instagram. Recommend to everyone who wants to try out Korean dishes. Definitely somewhere to try out!! Especially the price is worth it. They slice out the fish so thickly, colourful combination. The Japchae had shiitake in it which was supeeeerbbb 👍 Coming back for real

Great pub with amazing classic pub food. Our party opted for roast dinners and the food did not disappoint, it was dinner as expected. The portions were really good size and the beef slices were cooked to perfection (medium rare) with crispy roasted potatoes and Yorkshire pud. Root vegetables are served speratly and they all we prepared really good. Desserts also were amazing. There is a kids menu also for under 14 with classic pub options. Highly recommended.

A fantastic place for food or just a drink. The space is beautiful and varied in layout. Staff are very welcoming and enjoy having dogs indoors too. Food was delicious and freshly made. Staff are so professional and caring. I love this place and can't wait to come back again

The waiter was lovely and super chilled and was helpful. And a good atmosphere for Sunday lunch. My chicken with trimmings (£20) was okay. I had much better Sunday roast in other places. Good location as you can go for a nice walk along the Thames after. I would recommend the pub!

I visited The Red Lion on Saturday 20th July 2024. My Mum has a lifelong friend who lives nearby, so we chose the Red Lion so that they could catch up and celebrate their recent coming of age birthdays of 90 years! The staff were fantastic. So attentive, friendly and caring. They truly helped make this a special occasion for these ladies. Happy Birthday was sung, the atmosphere & setting was lovely, and food was great. I cannot thank the team enough for creating such a wonderful memorable day.

What a lovely meal. This was our first visit to the school of spice as we were staying locally after a day at Kempton races and were very pleased. The food was delicious, my lamb bhuna was beautifully tender and the naan just how I like soft, light and a little chewy ( in a good way) lovely! There was a friendly, relaxed atmosphere and the service was was very good, I was particularly impressed that the waiter kindly split our prawn puree starter, which we were planning to share, into two plates. I would definitely recommend dining here.

Super service and fantastic food. Methi gosht was my wife's choice and mine the Lamb Bhuna. Lovely flavours. Staff very attentive. It was our wedding anniversary and they surprised us with a scrumptious ice cream dessert. A wonderful touch! Well worth a visit!

Me and my boyfriend have came here a few times now, our favourite starter is Chaat and it is AMAZING! Its seasoned so beautifully and so tender, the bread melts in your mouth. We love to get madras as its the perfect spice level and so tasty! 😁 my boyfriend left his wallet on the seat and the man came looking for us 10 minutes later (luckily we was just in the pub next door grabbing a drink). The staff are very welcoming and atmosphere is very calm and comfy❤️ deffo recommend this place.

Booked a table last minute Saturday evening. A table was available. Lovely building. Nice interior decor. Loads of outdoor seating. Lovely old place full of charm. We were very well looked after. The food is delicious, top-notch. no loud music or voices. So 😊 wonderful atmosphere . Perfect place to have a nice conversation without having to shout above other people or noises.

The Queen's Head, a historic tavern with a touch of class. This establishment has been serving locals and travelers alike for generations, its walls steeped in stories of days gone by. Super friendly and always ready with a smile, they'll make you feel right at home from the moment you walk through the door. Now, would I make a special trip back to The Queen's Head? Probably not. But as a solid standby after exploring a few other options? You could do a lot worse. So, if you find yourself in Weybridge and in need of a watering hole with a bit of character, give The Queen's Head a try. You might just be pleasantly surprised.

Table of 9 and we were all served about the same time. I had the steak and it was fantastic. Massive thanks to the staff, a large table can be like herding cats, but they were great. Nice espresso martini to finish off.

My daughter and son in-law held their wedding reception in June 24 afternoon and evening, The staff were excellent and friendly, nothing was too much,Our compliments to the chef all 3 courses and canopies were all superb very tasty and excellently cooked many of our guests were blown away, The atmosphere and ambience first class. Every guest complimented the venue staff and food and how much they enjoyed the day. Would highly recommend for a very special occasion, Could not fault Thank you to all the staff for working hard and making it a very special day

This is a great backwater pub, literally, on the Thames at Shepperton Lock. Lots of car parking, historic building, great food, service and prices - and the location is stunning!

Me and my family were served by Tom who was absolutely lovely: he (or they, sorry I didn't ask your pronouns!) always had a ready smile, was super polite and very funny; fantastic customer service! We really enjoyed ourselves, the food was delicious, the service was amazingly fast and the atmosphere was super chill and comfortable - thank you so much guys!

A Boxing Day birthday meal was had here. The food was great, everyone enjoyed their meals. Service only got 4 stars because the pub was so busy and our meals came out slower than expected. However, highly recommend this place to eat. Dog friendly section if you want to bring your pooch along, all in all, I give this place 4 out of 5 stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟

We visited at the weekend with a friend and had the best service from Tom and Liv. 5 stars from start to finish! It's so refreshing to see people looking like they actually enjoy their job! My youngest has intolerances and the chef was so careful regarding allergens, he was really on the ball which is great to see, too. The food was lovely and we'll definitely be going back again soon.
