This restaurant is a quality Italian restaurant serving great pizza and well-cooked pasta and other traditional dishes. Very good decor, very welcoming. A good place to go for that 'slightly posher' meal that is special, but also good for a quick pizza in a nice environment. Will definitely visit again!

Great first visit! We went in on a very busy Friday night, there were only a couple of tables free. The food still came out in really good time. Restaurant itself looks great, nicely air conditioned, comfortable seats and clean. The menu offers a very wide range of Italian food with some more unusual items on there. The food itself was really tasty. Lamb fell off the bone, with a great taste. Service was good, we could pick out table which is a nice change to places that don’t ask. Even though it was busy, the guys did a good job keeping everybody attended to and we didn’t feel we waited too long for anything.

Didn't have food, but menu looked good. Serviced quick relaxing drink on a Saturday with me wife.

Beautiful pub and the warmest, landlord and landlady you'll ever meet. I only popped in for a pint. I loved overhearing the landlord chat to a customer about his recent sighting of a marsh harrier in a Godalming field. Just so quintessentially rural England! Some parking available outside.

It has taken a long long time to find a pub that serves a Sunday roast worth recommending. At the Fox Inn it was perfect. We hadn't booked so it was a chance we took and it paid off. Next time we go we are definitely booking so we are not Disappointed. We arrived about 20 minutes after it opened and after we sat down it was a steady stream of people arriving. Definitely pre book if you can. The menu was a good mixture but I had the chicken breast roast and we also ordered the lamb roast. The food arrived in about 10 to 15 minutes. The food tasted great. Veg wasn't overcooked and the gravy was just right. Its the closest I've tried that matched home cooking. Thanks to the staff and we will be returning.

Hadn’t been here in 10+ years and wasn’t sure what to expect but have to say it was a superb Sunday lunch. Very well priced, big portions, friendly service and great tasting food. We’ll definitely visit again, possibly on another day to try out the standard menu

Lovely meal , not a huge menu but some interesting choices a welcome change from the normal choices usually offered in pub dining. The sticky toffee pudding dessert was amazing , the best I have ever had. My friend had a fish platter that seemed to be a favourite the mix of fish was great and plentiful , faultless food. Staff lovely and friendly only marked down slightly because it was a little bit slow at the table bringing condiments and add ons. My review is dining only didn't use but the site was lovely we ate outside by lake but there were lots of spaces and choices to chose from. My visit was for lunch to meet up with a friend

We had our wedding breakfast here the end of October, we had the whole pub, the venue was decorated to a very high standard and the atmosphere was great, the food was excellent, the staff were very good too couldn’t do enough for you, we had a DJ so the furniture and tables were moved at one area of the room to make way for a dance floor which worked really well. The staff lit the fire pit outside so that we could have toasted marshmallows which the kids and adults loved. Would highly recommend this venue if your looking for somewhere to have a wedding or party. We would like to thank Caroline, Richard, Dan and all the staff for all their hard work. We visited the bat and ball after a recommendation from jerry at the spitfire experience at wisborough green. We had a very friendly greeting on entering. We decided to have lunch and were seated quickly. The pub has it's own olde worlde quirky atmosphere. The service we received was excellent and the food as good . I would highly recommend a visit if you're in the area and I would certainly revisit.

Such a lovely warm inviting experience at this place. The service is friendly and attentive. Our meal was so tasty and the cocktails were the best we have had. He even serves normal drinks with a attention to detail. We'll be back.

My partner and I visited this lovely cafe for lunch, wanting to try somewhere a bit different, and we were absolutely over the moon with our experience! The decor is stunning, with a boutique-style ambiance that feels both glamorous and cozy. The bar, with its wide range of drinks, immediately caught our eye. The atmosphere was perfect—relaxing music and charming board games on the tables added a delightful touch! The customer service was exceptional. We were served by a very lovely gentleman (who we believe might be the owner), and he made us feel so welcome, catering to our every need with genuine warmth. We opted for the ciabatta sandwiches, paired with coffee. We enjoyed our time so much that we didn’t want to leave, so we treated ourselves to cocktails afterward—they were absolutely irresistible and so refreshing! This cafe is a gem, and we can’t recommend it enough. A thoroughly enjoyable experience from start to finish. We’ll definitely be back!

Dropped in with no booking and offered a choice of tables. Staff were really friendly providing excellent service and, although 30 degrees outside it was lovely and cool inside. We ordered roast chicken and roast lamb as it was a Sunday menu and they were huge helpings. Food was beautifully cooked, massive Yorkshire puds, tender roast meat, real roast potatoes, fantastic mixture of veg (cabbage, carrot, peas, leeks and mange tout) and, best of all for me, lashings of really good tasty gravy. Good pub, good food, good staff, good service.

I visited this pub/restaurant for a solo business meal. The staff were some of the friendliest, most welcoming restaurant staff I have ever encountered. The lady who I assumed was the manager treated me like a member of her family and could not do enough for me! Grace, who was waiting on my table was very attentive and friendly. The food was amazing. They said I would be back and they were right - I’ll definitely be going back here. The atmosphere was so cosy and welcoming!

Three of us had a late lunch in the garden. Beautiful pub with an excellent outside seating area. Very busy, popular place. I had trout with mashed potatoes and onions. Delicious! Im a pescatarian who does not like fish to look like fish. So what i liked was that it was a trout fillet, with no heads or tails visible. Service was a little slow, however, they were very busy. I would certainly go there again.

“My first visit to the White Horse but it will not be my last. It was a Tuesday lunchtime when I happened upon this pub....”
Rating: 5 / 5
Loved it at The White Horse again. Been coming here for 4 years but it went through a period in about 2023 where the food was not that great. But I’m happy to report that the food was excellent, and the service was superb too: attentive and proactive. Thank you Antonia for a lovely evening!

Christmas lunch at the White Horse Hascombe was great! Food was lovely and the service was great. We made the mistake of not preordering wine when we confirmed our menu choices and then discovered that there was quite a limited choice on the day. But we found something and it didn’t detract from our enjoyment. Well done to all at the White Horse.

We had our Christmas 2024 lunch here at The White Horse and the whole event was superb! The atmosphere inside the pub was very Christmassy and everyone was very chilled. The food was excellent, really, really first class and the service was wonderful. What more can I say? We all had a fantastic time and this was our second Christmas-time running so that must say a lot about how good the place is.

Fantastic food and excellent staff. The food is of such good quality it would be difficult to class it as pub grub. Everything we ate was fantastic, prawns in garlic, squid, fresh pork chops, leek tart. Wonderful, would highly recommend if you’re looking for a great small restaurant to go to with friends just outside of Horsham.

Lovely place with friendly staff. We ordered king prawns and soup of the day for the starter. The king prawns were brilliant but the soup of the day was just ok. For the main course, the Sirloin steak was a bit salty but the calf liver was really good. We ordered ice cream for Dessert. Highly recommended. We were very satisfied with the a mount of food we were given.

This is my sisters favourite place to eat, and I have to agree the standard of cookery was really high. My bavette steak and chips was cooked so well and the peppercorn brandy sauce was also perfect. The Picpoul rose is a really lovely wine, I would highly recommend. Dad enjoyed his liver and bacon. My sister had the girls cheese tart which said said was nice, it's not a huge portion so a good choice for a lighter dish. Lovely service and friendly staff.

We had a wonderful dining experience at The Chequers Inn. From start to finish, everything was exceptional. The food was simply delicious, with each dish beautifully prepared and full of flavour. Everyone in our group loved their meal, and it was clear that the chefs put great care into every plate – hats off to them! The service was outstanding, with staff who were friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. They made sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed, which really added to our enjoyment of the evening. The atmosphere was another highlight. The Chequers Inn has managed to create a space that feels both cosy and elegant. With its warm lighting, tasteful decor, and charming character, it’s truly a delight to spend time here. It’s the kind of pub that feels like a real treat, perfect for a relaxed meal or a special occasion. We’ll definitely be returning and can’t recommend it highly enough!
