For an Xmas treat I took my girlfriend & my parents (50th wedding anniversary celebration) to Chilston Manor to stay in feature rooms (Regency & Hogarth) along with an evening meal. I have to say the whole experience was above and beyond what we were xpecting. Everything from the welcome to the cocktails, food to the walk around the grounds was exceptional. Thankyou to you all for making our stay just seem magical, it was a time that will live long in my memory. We laughed, ate, drank and discussed to the early morning and then some. Just simply amazing.

My wife and I attended an 80th birthday party for my father in-law.The event was mainly planned by Becky. My sister in law was able to access the rooms beforehand to decorate and Becky kindly assisted which she was very grateful for. The room looked amazing but it was also the amazing service provided by herself and all the other staff at the hotel. The service was wonderful. kiera and Becky looked after us making us all feel at home. There are too many names to mention they were excellent.Thank you for making it such a special day.

I have just had Sunday roast. It was so tasty and the best roast I've had in a very long time. The staff were very attentive. There was a nice buzzy atmosphere. Such a beautiful place. Well done. We will be back.

I was here for a complimentary overnight stay and was very wowed. Though getting here was a challenge from the train station, no local taxi service or Uber available, no walking paths, best bet is to drive! We waited for a while before the hotel then sent some of their colleagues who eventually picked us up. From the moment we drove into the grounds, it was stunning. Such a pleasurable group of staff who catered for our needs efficiently! We got checked into our rooms (each room has its own theme and no one room is alike) I stayed in the main building however there are nice cost cottages for families with kids etc The dinner was amazingly spectacular! Beautifully curated by their chef đŸ˜‹đŸ€€ So so great tasting honestly, he grows his own herbs and vegetables used and products are sourced locally from farms. They have their own bees that produce honey and lambs on the grounds. With vast acres of grounds, a lake, converted stable, conference and meeting rooms, private dining spaces, and so much more...this is one hotel that feels like a family home. The staff are happy and the guests seem happy too. The closest train station is lenham from London Victoria. The breakfast was beautifully presented to my room with so much to eat and their afternoon tea is one of the best around there. They host large outdoor events as they have the capacity for it. You will be pleasantly surprised with little touches of care and professional hospitality when you visit. We had a wine tasting dinner which was pretty good though I am non alcoholic 😊 the mocktail was lovely 😍 I recommend for all your event types as staff is happy to accommodate and tailor their services to your request.

A wonderful time staying here for the night. It was reasonably priced which meant the experience could go either way (good or bad) after reading the reviews I decided to book and very unusually the great reviews were right
.the staff here absolutely make the place. The gentleman on checking couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful. The standout here however is the bar/restaurant which although pricey is outstanding
.many restaurants these days promise fine dining and forget that includes the service as well. Matt in the restaurant deserves a shout out of his own, his attention to detail while serving was impeccable. Service with style. The grounds in the hotel are jaw dropping
.our visit was winter with a howling gale outside (which did make the hotel feel more cosy) but during summer I’m guessing this hotel is absolutely beautiful with grounds to stroll around. Rooms are very nice if slightly dated
.(that’s my only criticism) for me the rest of the hotel well and truly made up for this. Oh and the fast WiFi worked everywhere
.why do so many hotels drop this now vital ball? I will stay here for business trips now too.

Well Perci’s pulled it out of the bag for our friends birthday celebrations. This is our local pub, and have definitely been on a journey to get to where they are. With a new head chef in the house, the food has seen remarkable improvement. Georgio and his team always deliver service with a smile

10/10 We came here for dinner and have a really fantastic time. Great selection of beers and cocktails, the menu has a sensible number of options as to cater for all and the food itself is incredible. The refurbishment of this place has been done to an amazing modern standard and is the perfect venue for dining, pub evenings and for ladies who lunch. We very much look forward to coming back again soon!

We stayed here as a wedding party in June, booking all of the rooms out. Sam and all of the staff were fantastic from beginning to end, catering to all of our requests, including organizing a large brunch for our guests the morning after the wedding. They even tidied and decorated our room for us on our return - a touch that was extremely thoughtful and welcomed! Thank you!

Overall it’s a good Chinese take away and restaurant. The food is generally pretty good and it isn’t overpriced. Occasionally, I’ve had a few minor issues when ordering, but the guys always make things right when there’s a mix up. It’s probably the best Chinese restaurant I’ve had in the whole of Maidstone. The bar around the town is generally pretty low, but I do like ordering here and will continue to go back. Thanks for all our orders over the last couple of years since living in the area!

The Potting Shed

Horseshoes Ln, Langley, Maidstone ME17 3LZ, UK | Bar
P: 01622 862112

Rating: 4.4 (2083) Price Level:

It was a nice experience. We only went to the restaurant for food and didn't stay in the rooms so cannot comment on those. The staff were friendly and attentive. Service was really quick. The food was presented nicely, tasted good, and portions were a good size. There was a varied menu so you could find something to eat for most dietary requirements. It was a tad on the expensive side in my opinion, which is why the rating is 4/5*. We went for the 5 plates for ÂŁ32 between 2 of us which was a good amount of food. There was lots of free parking available. Inside the restaurant was clean and rustic. Quite pretty with the decor. There is a nice outside area too. It was busy but not too loud that we couldn't hear what members of our group were saying. There were kids there so I'd say yes it's family-friendly.

Excellent service which is what I've come to expect at all the Elite pubs. Good value food and drink and nothing is too much trouble. Stayed 2 nights here which were very clean and felt very luxurious for the money.

First visit to the Potting Shed, a large indoor restaurant with plenty of seating inside and out in the garden. Plenty of parking too. Waitress was very friendly and efficient. I ordered the pizza Caesar, which came with a smoked salmon, anchovies and rocket topping. I ordered extra anchovies for a small price. I was not disappointed, the pizza was lovely and it was a good size too. My friends both ordered the steak ciabatta but both were disappointed at the amount of cheese which sat on top of the steak. They considered the price a little on the high side. The bill included a 12.5% service charge too. I would definitely visit again to enjoy one of their pizzas. The menu was quite extensive and it was difficult to make a choice.

We ate here last night as the food at our hotel wasn't very good. The parking was great and it waa easy to find We had the best pizza we've had for a long time and the value for money was brilliant. It cost half what we paid at our hotel the night before and the quality of the food and service was far superior at the potting shed. If we're in the area again we will definitely be back.

Fantastic, genuine English Pub-Inn. We got a free upgrade (to room 8). This was a beautiful, large room with nice bathroom. Very clean and comfortable. Little downside (although it didn’t bother us): the room was located above the pub and there was some noise to be heard. But that ended well before our bedtime (about 23 hrs) The room had a wonderful view of the little townsquare in front of the pub. Dinner was good, breakfast excellent with a wide choice (besides English breakfast also Eggs Benedict, Eggs Florentine etc). The hotel also had free parking behind the hotel which was very convenient.

The rooms are comfortable and clean with a Nespresso coffee machine and other teas and coffee. The food is good and the staff friendly. Highly recommended.

Just had an amazing stay at this lovely cosy pub/hotel the room was really big and has a lovely log effect fireplace and it overlooks the village and beautiful church. The pub it self is so warm and cosy with the logs burning away giving you the cosy warm feeling as you walk in. The staff and service is great too. We 💯 percent recommend staying and we are looking forward to our next visit soon when we visit our family.

One of my closest friends and I chose the visit this pub after both having a rather tough week. On arrival we saw a sign that said a ‘warm welcome was awaiting from Stewart’ and he did not disappoint! His welcome into the pub had that personal touch which made us feel immediately comfortable and happy with our choice to visit. I have been several times over the years but this was my best visit yet. The food was excellent, served quickly on a busy Friday night and tasted excellent from grazing dishes all through to dessert. We were served by Jane who was attentive, friendly and always polite. I had the duck pizza (adding bacon made it even better) and the honeycomb dome for pudding which was delicious. I will definitely visit again and thank all the staff for their excellent service.
