Great team of both bar staff and kitchen. No matter what your ask, nothing is too much trouble! Great atmosphere and fab food, reasonably priced. Dogs welcome too. Seating area at the front for al fresco evenings. Really rate it here.

We ate downstairs & had a superb homemade burger amongst other things from their own butchers. Be aware of the service charge. The pub has a very traditional feel with a large oval wooden bar, uniformed waiters, high ceilings & immaculate mirrors. Best of all for me though was the choice of a very well kept pint of Beamish ( very hard to come by in these parts or indeed anywhere these days). Its a far superior stout to the overly marketed, overly hyped but cleverly advertised you know who. Would definitely try more food & Beamish here next time I'm here.

Seventeen from our bowling club came for an end of season meal. The lad who served us was fantastic as always, making sure we all had our main meal at the same time. Great value for money and the food was delicious.
