I have to say a huge thank you. My very elderly parents suffered a total loss of electricity today meaning they had no heating and no electricity for their freezer, fridge, cooking and everything else. I found Smart Wired Electrical on Google as an emergency electrician. From ringing, he was really quick in arriving at my parents property and worked speedily to find and resolve the issue. I have used andrew for all my electrical work for the last 5 years he is a perfectionist, what I like about andrew is he is informative about the work he is doing and what options you have. I had my electricity supply moved by northern power grid and my meter was moved by British Gas. Due to misadvice between the two of them, I was left with no electricity supply to my fuse box and no electrician booked in. I'd been without power for 30 hours when Alex and the team stepped in to help at short notice. They got me set up temporarily for the night and came back the next day to do a full and permanent job of running the new tails from the meter to the consumer unit. Such a change to have a tradesman that turns up on time and carry out two jobs one of which was changing an electric shower and the other fixing a slow flow to a cold water feed. Both were done within the hour and I have no hesitation in recommending him.

Alex attended our flat tonight about a meter problem. However, he managed to detect a more serious problem that was caused by another engineer which he informed us was dangerous for our safety. Stuart (and his apprentice, George) have done an absolutely cracking job of rewiring our entire house. There was some old, very old, pretty dodgy electrics with wires going goodness knows where! They fitted all our switches and plug sockets. They added extra lights where we asked them to and set up different rings for different parts of the house. They turned up when they said they would and got the job finished when they said they would. They came back to do little extras we asked and worked to an ever moving brief. They were both polite, chatty, a good laugh while still having impeccable work ethic. They took real care of our floorboards and did really tidy work with the wires. The price for all the time, effort, care and attention, was unbelievably good - I would go as far as to say a bargain. Would recommend (and do) to absolutely anyone that needs any work doing.

We needed to get a house inspected and the electrics checked over, we contacted 24-7 Electrical who came over as promised and gave us sound advice as to what was needed in the property. They came back and disconnected the electrics but installed a socket so that some power could be used. Chris and his team were very helpful in sorting this out and got it all done as promised in no time at all. This is a very reliable and helpful Company and we recommend them to anyone that needs electrical advice / work. They have carried out jobs for us before and the guys have always been brilliant to deal with, always helpful and polite. I needed an EICR certificate for my house as just about to rent it out and didn’t know this was the law/regs now until agent said. I used Check-a-Trader and these got back to me promptly with a quote and dates/times available. I came and checked out their reviews and had others coming back to me but these were really competitive and reviews were great. I wasn’t disappointed. 3 engineers turned up on time and were all courteous, smart, took their shoes off! Plus they were professional and helped to repair a fault on a socket while testing the whole house wiring. Took them a good while and they were really thorough. I expected to receive an invoice way over the quote but within 2 days I had the comprehensive certificate and the invoice as quoted. Very impressed so don’t be wary, these guys stick to their promises and do a great job. I’ll only put up a review if really bad or exceptional. These were exceptional and so has their customer service in the office and response times. I’d give 6 stars if I could.
