Martin (MH Electrical) gave us a couple of options at the quoting stage and answered all the questions we had. The quote was very competitive and we were also dealing with the installer rather than a middle person which gave us more confidence. Martin was great throughout the install of our panels and battery system. From the initial quote to the neat install and handling all the registration paperwork, it was a very straightforward process. Even coping with the wrong optimisers being sent by the distributor and coming back to fit when they were available, was well dealt with. After being recommended them by a close friend, I decided to reach out to Vokes Electrical for a quote for changing all of the lighting in my house to down-lights. I had a rough idea of which lights I wanted and where I wanted them positioned within each of the rooms, and of the 4 companies that came to see the house the guy from Vokes (Jack) was the only only person that actually sat down with me and went over the finer details of where I'd like the lights positioned and provided feedback from his professional point of view, even going so far as to get out a laser level to show me where he thought I should place the lights - as a result, I ended up being able to remove 3 down-lights from the project and 2 of my rooms now look a lot better than they otherwise would of. He managed to finish the whole house in 2 days, was a really pleasant guy to speak to and even went as far as recommending me a specific generation of Philips Hue bulb because they didnt stick out as much as the older (cheaper) version I was looking at buying, which had he of not warned me, would of been an expensive mistake for me to make.

Jack completed the electrics in our front and rear extension. It was a pleasure having Jack around the house and he was very conscientious when completing the work. He also offered advice and potential improvements to our plans throughout the course of his works. I would highly recommend Jack if you need any electrical works completing.

Jack has done all the electrical work on our extension; a single story kitchen, utility and toilet. Jack came out as soon as we had the structure up and went though our needs. Jack is very organised, thorough in his planning and very tidy. He pays attention to detail, and also offered advice on things we’d not thought about. After the first fix, was wasn’t due to see Jack again until the second fix, but a slight change to the initial plan, and a need for heat and smoke alarms, and Jack managed to fit us in to install ahead of plastering. Jack also moved our consumer unit, and did a super neat job of that too, so we now have an up to date, safer consumer unit that is better suited to our needs. Before our kitchen was installed he called round to check everything once again and then as soon as our kitchen was in, Jack returned to finish off the second fix. Jack was happy to do some additions for us, and it never felt like anything was too much for him. He even did some restorative work for us that wasn’t really within his remit, but he wanted it looking right. On top of his professionalism he genuinely one the nicest lads I’ve met, arrives when he say he will and leaves it very tidy. Thank you so much.

Jack is really reliable and I recommend him all the time. He’s very patient when I’ve got dates wrong or changed my mind! I’ve worked with him in a work capacity on the renovation of an old mill (where he was asked to do unusual things for particular artist’s equipment and lighting and was great with the artists) and in my own home 🏠

We returned from holiday, started the washer and there was a problem! We called Allsops and amazingly Kevin was here early the next morning, various components with him and fixed it within an hour. It is now working perfectly again. The machine itself "Ebac", made in the UK and supplied by Allsops, has worked perfectly up to this point. We have had it for 3 years and it is under warranty until 2028....7 years! It has very useful programmes ...probably the best washer I have ever had. With up to date replacements it is like new again!. What a service from Allsops at no cost to us. A very trustworthy local company, I would highly recommend.

Brilliant service and very well-equipped and safety-concious person who repaired my washing machine! I had an Ebac washing machine that started leaking and Ian Allsop came and repaired my machine the next day. Turns out, it was a slight tear in one of the inner rubber tubes. This was a common problem and the manufacturer has since made a modification. However, I was very impressed when he did the safety-checking afterwards: earth testing, plus a simple earth test of my household wiring, that was to make sure that my household wiring was as safe as the washing machine, because you're only as safe as the Weakest Link - like Ann Robinson...

I have to say this firm lives up to its name Spot On. I am renovating an apartment and needed spotlights putting in the entire apartment . Looked for a local electrician on a Sunday as electric flickered and went off the previous night. MJK came out within half hour of contact on the Sunday morning and worked it out methodically and advised as appropriate to get the problem fixed which turned out to be a National Grid issue in my meter cab outside. I spoke to Mike, the owner, who told me he would accommodate my installation around the delivery, so I wasn't without a cooker for any length of time. A rapid response was received by this company who completed the installation of a new 10-way mains fuse box making way for an additional fridge freezer. A clean, neat professional job was completed in record time. Then, another piece of work involved access to the loft to provide connections for two pull cord switches in two further bedrooms. The creative use of trunking meant redecoration was not necessary. I would highly recommend this company for any domestic electrical work.

Rang UC electrical and within a few hours they came, couldn’t believe it. The jobs were done speedy and efficiently and we were back up and running again with power and lighting straightaway.
