I cannot commend Smart Homes Electrical highly enough. In September '24 we were entirely new to the photovoltaic world. I sent an exploratory email to Tom Mastin and by return was informed that Will Chamberlain, their sales and support engineer was going to be in contact. We went through the various options with Will's knowledgeable help. Will designed the specifics of our proposed system and Ben, Jack and Tom installed the new system on a steep roof in Matlock over 3 days. The team was superb down to each individual; as a company they do what they state in their literature. They did a great job and the system is already delivering. The Tesla Powerwall 3 (battery and inverter) and the associated app are something to behold. I'm very impressed and recommend Smart Homes Electrical with pleasure and without reservation.

From first enquiring about solar and our options regarding maximising the power/batteries etc, the team were excellent. There is no pressure at all and they even advised against extra panels as it would not give a benefit, other companies would sell you anything to increase the prices but Smart Homes don't. The work they did was outstanding and very considered in terms of dust generation and mess (hardly any mess at all but they asked if we could move our washing in just in case of any dust). The explanations and walkthrough about the system with the team once installed was again well considered. The communication either via phone or email is fast and they are happy to talk about anything to ensure your happy with your system. The installation team themselves are great, polite, helpful, courteous and friendly. I highly recommend them to anyone looking at getting a solar system.

We would highly recommend Smart Homes Electrical. The installation of our solar panels was completed efficiently and quickly, the guys who did the job were a pleasure to have around our home and the internal work was completed with the absolute minimum of disruption. This company was introduced to us by friends in October. Tom Mastin, the professionalism and communications impressed from the start. After a few months of pause and mulling options we were being drawn to a Tesla Powerwall 2 PV solution and were disappointed that Smart Homes Electrical didn't offer that any more. Never mind we did have another reputable and local company in tow. Imagine our delight when a chance contact in mid March revealed that SHE had resumed fitting Tesla batteries. Tom visited on 18th March and we ended up with a quote for the 14 panels, Tesla Powerwall, EV charger plus micro inverters which optimise panel performance across the East and West roofs wonderfully and which we had not previously heard. Oh, and this was a better quote with a good saving too. The work was booked in for April 2nd and 3rd. Ben and team were knowledgeable, effective and totally tuned in with our needs By 4th our bird netting fitter has been too, Ben had returned to complete commissioning and we were up and running. SHE admin and support from Will and Amanda was equally good. Highly recommended for quality, service, sound advice, professionalism, reliability and value for money.

Ryan did a great job installing two additional connection points on our plasterboard wall for wall lights. Given the distance from the sockets, I expected more damage to the walls, but he managed to install everything with minimal disruption. On top of that, his pricing was very reasonable, making the whole experience even better. Spot on service! I’ll definitely be using Ryan’s services again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a skilled and reliable electrician!

Ryan provided excellent service from start to finish. Communication was clear and consistent throughout, from the initial contact to after the work was completed. He offered valuable advice, carried out the work promptly and efficiently, and left everything clean and tidy. A thoroughly professional experience. Ryan quickly answered my message and was accommodating to arrange a visit to quote. His quote came through as promised and was great value. I’m having a few jobs done at once and Ryan has been by far the best tradesman at communicating, both in writing and in person. Again he was accommodating on a date for the work to be done. Kept in touch as to timings. While doing the job he kept me informed of the progress so I knew when my electrics would be off as I work from home. I could hear him clearing up after himself. He’s done a fantastic job and is coming back when I’ve had my plastering work done. Ryan is honestly one of the nicest tradesmen I’ve had in my home. Highly recommend

Steve and Tom have done a fantastic job installing a new consumer unit and rewiring the lighting through the house for us. Very friendly polite guys. Turn up when expected, clean up when finished and very Honest about what needs to be done and what doesn't. Highly recommend. Will definitely use again if we need an electrian in the future. We appointed Alan Chambers to carry out a number of electrical works. Safe to say Steve and his team did a fantastic job! They took the time to make sure we fully understood the works involved and explained the works thoroughly. The team worked really hard to ensure the jobs were carried out to a very high standard. Throughout they were friendly, helpful, thorough and above all did a brilliant job! Would highly recommend.

Had the team at DES install an Air Conditioning unit in my garden office in Derby, so pleased with the results, cool in summer heatwaves and toasty warm in winter. Install was hassle free and unit is really efficient.

We have used the guys from Derbyshire Energy Solutions for all of our projects over the years. They have recently installed LED lighting, fire, TV and surround sound on our Media wall, along with outside security lighting, rerouting cat 5 cables, installing remote heating system & various other jobs. Thoroughly professional, neat and tidy, competitive and most importantly turn up when they say they are coming. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

Having recently been flooded we were having trouble getting the insurance company to send out an electrician, so decided to call our own. Leighton from DES came out the next day, was clear about what needed doing and liaised with Western Power for us. When the utility company had fixed their equipment Leighton came out again when he said he would and got our power back on, checked all the circuits and advised us on what we could and couldn’t use. He was great at problem solving, very thorough and professional at all times. I would have no problem recommending DES to anyone.

Great service from Power & Control, from quotation through to install. Daniel was informative and quick to provide a quote when requested. This was also amended with no quibbles when I decided on a Hypervolt charger instead. Dan also arranged an install date very quickly - I only had to wait a couple of weeks from accepting my quote. Andy who installed the charger is a really nice guy. I was very impressed with his attention to detail and high quality workmanship. The Hypervolt looks great and I cannot fault the install - extremely neat! I would highly recommend.

Had a great service when having my ev charger fitted a few years ago. But for me the quality of a company is shown in their aftercare. While having an issue with my charger i rang up hoping they'd be able to get to me urgently within the coming days… 1 and a half hours later they were knocking at my door! Incredible service. The fault was with the charger and luckily it’s under warranty, so i will not hesitate to use these guys to come and swap it out for the new one.

James and team installed solar panels, an EV charger, a domestic hot water heating system, and a solar battery system for me last year. They were totally professional and extremely helpful… and really nice guys to boot! 😊 James did all the design and calculations to specify a system for me which has proved to be ideal - it operates at pretty much optimum for my particular circumstances and property. My property has 3-phase electrics and I didn't want the battery inside the house, so James spent time with me assessing both my needs and concerns and didn't just try to install a 'standard' or 'simple' system for me as some other firms wanted to do simply because it was easier for them. I thought the price James quoted was really competitive and I am very happy with the results. I'd recommend them to anyone, although I try not to in case they're too busy with other work if I need them to do some more work for me 😉 After all, if you all used them too I might have to wait a long time for them to have any availability for me! I went through HyperVolt's website to look for approved installers and was connected to James who did a remote survey and explained everything involved with fitting an EV charger on a video call. James was attentive and listened to my concerns of making sure the installation was neat as I'll be looking at it every single day. Unfortunately, one of James' staff had an emergency on the day of the installation so we had to postpone. James made me aware as soon as he could and offered to come and complete the job at the weekend. I was in no rush as my EV was still on order so I suggested we do the following week instead as I don't like working weekends either! Jason did an excellent job at making the install look neat and answered any stupid questions I had along the way. Jason showed me how to use the HyperVolt app and made sure all the settings were configured correctly. Thanks James & Jason for doing a superb job at a reasonable price.

Like others I was connected to James through Hypervolt. Can honestly say James was quick to respond, dealt with a small issue with the case really well (Hypervolt supplied a unit with a label that couldn’t be removed and a small scratch). I’d have no hesitation recommending James.

After a miserable Friday night with no electrics and sockets tripping on a regular basis phoned Andy early on a Saturday morning. No problem be with you shortly. True to his word and he spotted the culprit ( the computer socket ) Tested everything and even had a look at another faulty light switch.
