From first enquiring about solar and our options regarding maximising the power/batteries etc, the team were excellent. There is no pressure at all and they even advised against extra panels as it would not give a benefit, other companies would sell you anything to increase the prices but Smart Homes don't. The work they did was outstanding and very considered in terms of dust generation and mess (hardly any mess at all but they asked if we could move our washing in just in case of any dust). The explanations and walkthrough about the system with the team once installed was again well considered. The communication either via phone or email is fast and they are happy to talk about anything to ensure your happy with your system. The installation team themselves are great, polite, helpful, courteous and friendly. I highly recommend them to anyone looking at getting a solar system.

This company was introduced to us by friends in October. Tom Mastin, the professionalism and communications impressed from the start. After a few months of pause and mulling options we were being drawn to a Tesla Powerwall 2 PV solution and were disappointed that Smart Homes Electrical didn't offer that any more. Never mind we did have another reputable and local company in tow. Imagine our delight when a chance contact in mid March revealed that SHE had resumed fitting Tesla batteries. Tom visited on 18th March and we ended up with a quote for the 14 panels, Tesla Powerwall, EV charger plus micro inverters which optimise panel performance across the East and West roofs wonderfully and which we had not previously heard. Oh, and this was a better quote with a good saving too. The work was booked in for April 2nd and 3rd. Ben and team were knowledgeable, effective and totally tuned in with our needs By 4th our bird netting fitter has been too, Ben had returned to complete commissioning and we were up and running. SHE admin and support from Will and Amanda was equally good. Highly recommended for quality, service, sound advice, professionalism, reliability and value for money.

We would highly recommend Smart Homes Electrical. The installation of our solar panels was completed efficiently and quickly, the guys who did the job were a pleasure to have around our home and the internal work was completed with the absolute minimum of disruption. I cannot commend Smart Homes Electrical highly enough. In September '24 we were entirely new to the photovoltaic world. I sent an exploratory email to Tom Mastin and by return was informed that Will Chamberlain, their sales and support engineer was going to be in contact. We went through the various options with Will's knowledgeable help. Will designed the specifics of our proposed system and Ben, Jack and Tom installed the new system on a steep roof in Matlock over 3 days. The team was superb down to each individual; as a company they do what they state in their literature. They did a great job and the system is already delivering. The Tesla Powerwall 3 (battery and inverter) and the associated app are something to behold. I'm very impressed and recommend Smart Homes Electrical with pleasure and without reservation.

James is brilliant at his job and a great guy. He takes his time to explain what's needed and carries out his work to a very high standard. I have a few electrical jobs coming up and I'll be asking James to do these for me.

We use James for all our electrical requirements so far he has rewired our house, added lights, fan, light up Mirror to our ensuite and more recently added new lights, a fan and heated towel rail to our bathroom. James is always on time, works until the jobs done, talks you through ideas and options, is clean, tidy, and polite. You couldn't ask for more. I have referred James to many of my friends. I needed an electrician and through google reviews I came across James, JT electrical, I couldn’t have made a better choice, he’s been amazing, his work ethic is very good. James has just completed an upgrade to our garage electrics and lighting. All work has been completed to a high standard and on schedule. It was a pleasure having James working around the house and I would have no hesitation in recommending and using James again.

Had two light fittings fitted today very fast came at 9am was finished by half 10, not the easiest of fittings either and can't fault the work done, will defo always use this company now price is reasonable and respectful worker.

I contacted Zack after seeing a number of recommendations on local social media groups. Zack arrived on time, comms were very good and I am thrilled with the completed work. I now have a safe power supply to the greenhouse and shed as well as additional sockets in the house. I would definitely recommend Zack as my first choice for future electrical work.

Absolutely brilliant service provided by Zack, upon finding his company details online and dropping him a message, he made immediate contact and arranged a date and time to come and look at the work required. A quote was provided using an online link sent via email, ensuring the process was smooth. Zack arrived on time to carry out the work and the standard was excellent throughout, he continued to fault find until the job was complete and advised on further work that may be required in the future. Great experience from quote through to completion. Zack did a number of jobs around my house and worked with me to figure out the electrics for my media wall. Still a work in progress but the electrics are done and it’s looking good .

I contacted James very last minute after the dishwasher had leaked, tripped the electrics and damaged the socket and plug. He was upfront about cost from the start, gave loads of great advice and did extra checks whilst he was here. James was really friendly and nothing was too much trouble for him.

James came to supply and fit me 2 security lights. He did a perfect job, even wrote down all instructions for me of how to change settings etc. Lovely helpful, friendly and respectful young man, nothings too much trouble for him. He leaves everywhere clean and tidy and doesn't leave the job until your completely satisfied with the work. He went above and beyond for me, even helped me sort a Blink doorbell out at no extra charge. Had a full re-wire from Scott Marsden Electrical and very happy with the total service from the initial visit to completion. A very good professional team and after I moved back in there was very little to clean up as they had done a great job. Thoroughly recommend.

I had Scott come to me to rewire the TV to be mounted on the wall. He was excellent.
