I had reason to call an electrician for some advice today. I'm planning some kitchen works and needed information about what equipment to plan around, including routing of cables, where to position boxes etc. Ryan called me back quickly and kindly shared his expert advice in lots of detail, explaining the parts I wasn't clear on, clarifying why my schoolboy knowledge of power equations was confusing me, specifying exactly what I would need and the regulations around them. While I can't speak to the quality of any work he might carry out, I can absolutely reflect here on his friendly and professional approach, depth of knowledge, willingness to explain and share that knowledge. I intensely dislike there being work and systems in my house that I don't fully understand, so having him patiently explain things to be was incredibly helpful. When it comes time to do the final steps of the installation, I shall certainly be calling on him to complete the work. I can say hands down that that was some of the best telephone service I've had from a trade professional.

Great service from Ryan and his team. We have just moved into a new house that did not have an EV charging point for our electric car. Ryan had come highly recommended so I gave him a call. He explained all the different options we could have for a new EV charging point fitted. We booked the job in with Ryan and he came within a week to fit it. His team were clean, tidy and respected our new home. Our new Zappi charger looks and works great. I even received all of the electric testing and certification the asme day. We also got Ryan to fit a new consumer unit into our garage so we now have the capacity to add additional lights and sockets into our double garage. Ryan and his team are exactly what you could hope for when getting your wanting any form of electrical work sorting! This time I had called him to see about fitting my new Tesla home charger he came and did an inspection was there on time and we booked the appointment in. James came to supply and fit me 2 security lights. He did a perfect job, even wrote down all instructions for me of how to change settings etc. Lovely helpful, friendly and respectful young man, nothings too much trouble for him. He leaves everywhere clean and tidy and doesn't leave the job until your completely satisfied with the work. He went above and beyond for me, even helped me sort a Blink doorbell out at no extra charge. James came out to us a few months ago when Virgin Media cut through our electricity cable whilst installing fibre and didn't tell us 🙄 James came out at very short notice and identified the problem and advised us what to do next. Recently got in touch with SJK electrical & property services to install a replacement integrated oven. He was actually on holiday when we contacted him but this did not stop him replying and arranging to come out on his return. He did a fabulous job, so professional. Had Steve back for a second job at our property (which says it all for a tradesperson!), this time fitting an EV charging point for us. As before, Steve was helpful, friendly, professional and fairly priced, turning up when he said he would. Got exactly what we asked for. Would not hesitate to use again or recommend.

Steve did a fantastic job of transforming my small bathroom. He ripped out a walk-in bath and two layers of wall tiles on top of one another (?!) and replaced them with a lovely big shower and vanity unit as pictured. Also Steve re-tiled the walls which wasn’t straightforward as my walls were a bit wonky! He was always punctual, professional and tidied up after himself each day. Steve also was able to undertake some other tasks I found for him, including removing a radiator, installing a new electrical consumer unit and other electrical jobs. Would definitely recommend him and I wouldn’t hesitate to use him again.

Couldn't recommend SJK enough. 10/10 from start to finish from Steve. All the work he has carried out for us both electrical work and fitting our new kitchen has been to the highest standard and at a very fair price. His work is 2nd to none and he is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet.

awesome company, fixed price given online, even when everything went wrong, second house visit needed as was a longer job than expected, floor boards up, full day instead of a couple of hours, they still charged the agreed price. service was spot on, both fitters were great and knowledgeable, Robert who did ours knew his stuff and worked flat out from the minute he got here till the minute he left. will definitely use again for anything else we have done and already recommending them to friends

Jack is really reliable and I recommend him all the time. He’s very patient when I’ve got dates wrong or changed my mind! I’ve worked with him in a work capacity on the renovation of an old mill (where he was asked to do unusual things for particular artist’s equipment and lighting and was great with the artists) and in my own home 🏠

Jack completed the electrics in our front and rear extension. It was a pleasure having Jack around the house and he was very conscientious when completing the work. He also offered advice and potential improvements to our plans throughout the course of his works. I would highly recommend Jack if you need any electrical works completing.

Jack has done all the electrical work on our extension; a single story kitchen, utility and toilet. Jack came out as soon as we had the structure up and went though our needs. Jack is very organised, thorough in his planning and very tidy. He pays attention to detail, and also offered advice on things we’d not thought about. After the first fix, was wasn’t due to see Jack again until the second fix, but a slight change to the initial plan, and a need for heat and smoke alarms, and Jack managed to fit us in to install ahead of plastering. Jack also moved our consumer unit, and did a super neat job of that too, so we now have an up to date, safer consumer unit that is better suited to our needs. Before our kitchen was installed he called round to check everything once again and then as soon as our kitchen was in, Jack returned to finish off the second fix. Jack was happy to do some additions for us, and it never felt like anything was too much for him. He even did some restorative work for us that wasn’t really within his remit, but he wanted it looking right. On top of his professionalism he genuinely one the nicest lads I’ve met, arrives when he say he will and leaves it very tidy. Thank you so much.

After being recommended them by a close friend, I decided to reach out to Vokes Electrical for a quote for changing all of the lighting in my house to down-lights. I had a rough idea of which lights I wanted and where I wanted them positioned within each of the rooms, and of the 4 companies that came to see the house the guy from Vokes (Jack) was the only only person that actually sat down with me and went over the finer details of where I'd like the lights positioned and provided feedback from his professional point of view, even going so far as to get out a laser level to show me where he thought I should place the lights - as a result, I ended up being able to remove 3 down-lights from the project and 2 of my rooms now look a lot better than they otherwise would of. He managed to finish the whole house in 2 days, was a really pleasant guy to speak to and even went as far as recommending me a specific generation of Philips Hue bulb because they didnt stick out as much as the older (cheaper) version I was looking at buying, which had he of not warned me, would of been an expensive mistake for me to make.
