A rapid response was received by this company who completed the installation of a new 10-way mains fuse box making way for an additional fridge freezer. A clean, neat professional job was completed in record time. Then, another piece of work involved access to the loft to provide connections for two pull cord switches in two further bedrooms. The creative use of trunking meant redecoration was not necessary. I would highly recommend this company for any domestic electrical work.

Rang UC electrical and within a few hours they came, couldn’t believe it. The jobs were done speedy and efficiently and we were back up and running again with power and lighting straightaway. Wayne and the guys were amazing, even our dog liked them. Had solar panels and battery fitted. The installation was clean and looks great and were saving more than quoted even with our poor weather. Can't recommend enough.

Wayne was head and shoulders above the other specialist PV contractors we asked to quote to install solar panels and a storage battery. Wayne was able to answer all my questions during the quoting phase and he and his team were very diligent during the installation. From the outset I felt they were doing their very best for us, rather than a smash and grab - which was the impression I got from the other contractors we approached. Importantly it was Wayne I spoke to, rather than someone from 'sales'. Everything was well explained and after a few weeks of operation I'm really very happy with our system. If you are considering a solar-powered system then you won't be disappointed with Wayne. I'm glad we chose an electrician passionate about his craft rather than a 'pop-up' solar installation company that just want to get in and out.

Wayne and his team have seen to all our electrical needs over many years. They are responsive, professional and all really pleasant people to have in the house. Last week Wayne arrived on time (with a smile), wore a face mask and removed his shoes before entering the house. The job he did on this occasion was to fit 3 new LED light fittings perfectly and efficiently. Part of a previous job he did for us was to supply and fit an outside LED light which unfortunately stopped working after only a few months as it was faulty - no worries! a quick phone call to Wayne and he appeared the same day and replaced the faulty light, so we know that his after service is brilliant to. We would not choose anyone else to do any electrical work for us. He is very highly recommended.

Wanted a new light fitting . Only a small job, thought we would have difficulty getting someone, but no we e-mailed them they replied very quickly came the next day took 20 minutes at most and charged a very reasonable price. Would definitely recommend them to anybody needing an electrician.

We appointed Alan Chambers to carry out a number of electrical works. Safe to say Steve and his team did a fantastic job! They took the time to make sure we fully understood the works involved and explained the works thoroughly. The team worked really hard to ensure the jobs were carried out to a very high standard. Steve and Tom have done a fantastic job installing a new consumer unit and rewiring the lighting through the house for us. Very friendly polite guys. Turn up when expected, clean up when finished and very Honest about what needs to be done and what doesn't. Highly recommend. Will definitely use again if we need an electrian in the future. Had Ryan in to fit our electric shower, towel radiator & bathroom lights. Prompt, efficient, clean & punctual, gave good advice & a decent price. Bathroom lights went faulty due a manufacturer error. Ryan quickly answered my message and was accommodating to arrange a visit to quote. His quote came through as promised and was great value. I’m having a few jobs done at once and Ryan has been by far the best tradesman at communicating, both in writing and in person. Again he was accommodating on a date for the work to be done. Kept in touch as to timings. While doing the job he kept me informed of the progress so I knew when my electrics would be off as I work from home. I could hear him clearing up after himself. He’s done a fantastic job and is coming back when I’ve had my plastering work done. Ryan is honestly one of the nicest tradesmen I’ve had in my home. Highly recommend

From first enquiring about solar and our options regarding maximising the power/batteries etc, the team were excellent. There is no pressure at all and they even advised against extra panels as it would not give a benefit, other companies would sell you anything to increase the prices but Smart Homes don't. The work they did was outstanding and very considered in terms of dust generation and mess (hardly any mess at all but they asked if we could move our washing in just in case of any dust). The explanations and walkthrough about the system with the team once installed was again well considered. The communication either via phone or email is fast and they are happy to talk about anything to ensure your happy with your system. The installation team themselves are great, polite, helpful, courteous and friendly. I highly recommend them to anyone looking at getting a solar system.

The team worked hard installing our solar /battery system despite the freezing temperatures in December and January. They were a friendly team and customer focussed. We would gladly have them back on site. The system is working well and generating some reasonable kwh so we should meet our proposed savings plan!

I cannot commend Smart Homes Electrical highly enough. In September '24 we were entirely new to the photovoltaic world. I sent an exploratory email to Tom Mastin and by return was informed that Will Chamberlain, their sales and support engineer was going to be in contact. We went through the various options with Will's knowledgeable help. Will designed the specifics of our proposed system and Ben, Jack and Tom installed the new system on a steep roof in Matlock over 3 days. The team was superb down to each individual; as a company they do what they state in their literature. They did a great job and the system is already delivering. The Tesla Powerwall 3 (battery and inverter) and the associated app are something to behold. I'm very impressed and recommend Smart Homes Electrical with pleasure and without reservation.

Like others I was connected to James through Hypervolt. Can honestly say James was quick to respond, dealt with a small issue with the case really well (Hypervolt supplied a unit with a label that couldn’t be removed and a small scratch). I’d have no hesitation recommending James.

James and team installed solar panels, an EV charger, a domestic hot water heating system, and a solar battery system for me last year. They were totally professional and extremely helpful… and really nice guys to boot! 😊 James did all the design and calculations to specify a system for me which has proved to be ideal - it operates at pretty much optimum for my particular circumstances and property. My property has 3-phase electrics and I didn't want the battery inside the house, so James spent time with me assessing both my needs and concerns and didn't just try to install a 'standard' or 'simple' system for me as some other firms wanted to do simply because it was easier for them. I thought the price James quoted was really competitive and I am very happy with the results. I'd recommend them to anyone, although I try not to in case they're too busy with other work if I need them to do some more work for me 😉 After all, if you all used them too I might have to wait a long time for them to have any availability for me! Obviously I'm just kidding - if you want an excellent, extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and professional team then you can't do any better than Derbyshire Electrical Services Ltd.

Contacted at ~5pm on Sunday evening with description of a shared neutral issue impacting two lights in our house. Definitive Electrical arrived at 9am the following morning (today) and fixed the issue in about 45 minutes. I can't remember the names but they were efficient, polite, friendly and careful with possessions/property. One of the easiest interactions I've had with a contractor from start to finish.
