I chose Jenny and Rachel to be my wedding venue stylist and Florist knowing they would do an incredible job however what I received on the day BLEW ME AWAY- absolutely stunning throughout from the chair sashes, wooden arches to the candles to the flowers and foliage. We recently got married at Old Gore Barn in the cotswolds, and Amanda, our wedding stylist, was an absolute dream! I honestly can’t recommend her more if you are looking for a wedding stylist. She was always available, promptly assisting us with any questions or concerns we had. She had a cool, calm, and collected vibe that made us feel at ease during the entire planning process, and we knew we could trust her entirely with brining our vision to life. She had incredible suggestions for our day of how we could include our own sourced decor with her own collection and she just went above and beyond to think about every little detail of styling for the venue. On the big day, we were truly blown away with the attention to detail and scale that Amanda was able to achieve with a tight set up time. We had our guests and other suppliers commenting what an amazing job she had done and what a genuinely gorgeous person she is to work with. If you're getting married and are considering a wedding stylist, my one suggestion is to book Amanda while you can ! Amanda is so talented and incredible at what she does. We hired Amanda for our Wedding in May 2024 as a wedding coordinator, and by far was probably the best decision we made during our planning. I honestly don’t know how our wedding would have taken place on the day without Amanda. Amanda set up all our props for our Wedding the day before / morning of, and then coordinated our day. Amanda really went above and beyond throughout the day, keeping the day on track and making sure it aligned to mine and my husband wishes. Her attention to detail was outstanding, and she really brought our vision to life. We honestly cannot say thank you enough and would absolutely recommend Amanda to anyone getting married. Where do I even start with this incredible human?! Amanda is the kindest, most creative and inspirational wedding planner, stylist and coordinator. We were lucky enough to have Amanda involved in every aspect of our wedding and we are so thankful for her guidance and support. From our first initial emails, consultation meeting, final meetings and numerous messages (from me!), Amanda was nothing but helpful and supportive. On the day, it was a joy to have Amanda join my bridal prep in the morning, brining a sense of calm, style and humour. She ensured everything was on track and ensured that I was happy and prepared for when we moved to the venue. During the day, we had countless compliments about Amanda's efficiency and how friendly she was. Everything ran like clockwork, with no issues, and I am certain this was due to Superwoman Amanda. She also helped us to achieve the perfect champagne spray photo! The styling... Words fail me. Amanda took our ideas and colours and made it so much more. During our final design meeting, Amanda made detailed notes and offered suggestions for how to syle our venue. We were so confident in her abilities, we encouraged Amanda to do what she does best, and she did! Amanda created the classiest, cosiest, most elegant autumn vibes you could ever imagine. Our photographer, who had worked at the venue numerous other times, said it was the most beautiful she had ever seen it. I truly cannot recommend Amanda enough. She has a heart of gold and I feel so privaledge to have worked with such a creative and inspiring person. Simon has installed an electric radiator in my elderly parents house. He gave us wonderful service and piece of mind. It was nice to know i could rely on Simon to provide such trustworthy service during these difficult times. He prioritised work ahead of other jobs due to their vulnerability, at his own doing without prompting. He is now fixing up their tired kitchen and no doubt will be able to assist further in the future. Tradesmen like this are hard to find, it's just a shame I can't keep him a secret !

Simon did a great job putting up a curtain pole for a heavy thermal door curtain. He is professional and friendly and made sure that I was happy with the job. He also did a short repair of a light fitting, which was very good of him, as I had not arranged this in advance. I'll definitely be asking Simon when it's time to start on that ever-increasing list of jobs that need attention.

I’m very pleased with the work Simon has done in my home, and I highly recommend his services. He initially did a tricky job in my bathroom that involved both joinery and plumbing. He quickly identified the causes of the issue, clearly explained the repairs needed, and followed this up with a written estimate. During the work, he kept me well informed and did a thorough job to a high standard. Needless to say, I had no hesitation in booking him for other jobs - he came up with a straightforward solution to sort out a damp issue and did a top job of fitting skirting boards. Whilst doing the work, he pointed out an issue that needed a gas fitter and helped with a contact. He is friendly, trustworthy and works very efficiently. Thank you very much Simon, I’ll be in touch with more jobs from my list!

Sophie planned our daughter’s 18th birthday party last week end and we would highly recommend Luxe events. Sophie and her team were amazing, creative, professional, dedicated (in adverse weather!) and her attention to detail was second to none. She has such talented musical and culinary professionals and made the room look absolutely incredible. Everything and everyone was taken care of in the run up and on the night which meant we could relax and enjoy ourselves and have such lovely memories of a fabulous night! Thank you!

Needed my hair doing before Christmas (after being ill) and this salon was luckily still taking bookings. My hairstylist was a lovely young lady (Ellie Mae) , who did a wonderful job with cutting my very thin hair to give it shape, after a very nice relaxing wash and massage. So pleased with the price as well, which was cheaper than where I usually go to in Buxton!

We got married here on 16th May 2024 and Hanbury Barns was the most perfect venue for us! It has everything we could have asked for and the staff were so attentive and friendly. Kayleigh was our wedding coordinator and she was just perfect for us. Nothing was ever too much to ask for and she made us feel so at ease throughout the whole process. The venue is beautiful and immaculate and despite the torrential rain all day, it was just so perfect for us. It is a fully accessible venue with no steps which was ideal for some of our family members with mobility issues. The accommodation in the pods was beautiful and so clean and well kept too. Everyone commented on how beautiful the venue was and everyone had such an amazing day. I will be recommending this venue to everyone and anyone! Wish we could do it all over again!! 🥰 Thank you so much to everyone at Hanbury Barns x

We got married here in August and had a fantastic day. The venue is great - private, rustic and beautifully set up. All the staff were great and they made everything easy. We loved the ceremony room in particular, it was exactly what we were looking for. We were lucky to have had a beautiful sunny day, but this venue would have been amazing whatever the weather so we wasn't too worried about the chance of rain. The venue are absolutely top class at communication, which is one of the main things you want when planning your wedding. They respond to emails quickly, answer questions efficiently and do everything they can to make your day special. Thanks Hanbury!

A fantastic job was done fitting a replacement shower at incredibly short notice and despite some unforseen issues with the fit, it was all dealt with on the day with no fuss. Fab house, lovely local pubs. House fully equipped for groups. Kitchen large enough for catering and table long enough to seat everyone comfortably. Cosy log burners in each lounge. It even snowed when we visited, so magical!! We’ll be coming again!

The Holly Bush farm retreat is a beautiful farm house with beautiful suroundings. The interior has a contemporary design with multiple rooms and en-suite facilities. Very clean on arrival, with all the necessary appliances. The beds were so comfortable with multiple pillows provided. There were many of us with loads of small children and it never felt crowded. In addition there was a games room with a pool table and table tennis. The cherry on the already fantastic cake was the two charging ports outside, which meant we made it home/ good distance without having to look for somewhere to charge. Peak Venues comes highly recommended.

Eighteen of us (friends, not family) spent last weekend at Manifold Barns and it was amazing! The bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious, nicely decorated and spotlessly clean. The lounge was comfortable but our evenings were spent round the huge dining table - eating, drinking (responsibly 😊) chatting, quizzing and generally having a great time. Thank you to Margaret, who manages the Barns, for her prompt help with a couple of things. And a big bonus was the EV charger. I'm sure more s/c holiday lets will get them but Manifold Barns got there first! We go away as a group every spring and everyone agreed this was the best yet.
