Lewis and his lovely team have just fitted a downstairs cloakroom for us. From first visit through to the official clean up, the level of service was impeccable. The whole process was perfectly managed: we didn't have to worry about anything, which makes a welcome change! I gave First Point a call and left an answerphone message and within 15 minutes, I had a call back and an appointment organised. Lewis came around on the Wednesday. I got a quote that night with a couple of options, arranged for them to come on the next Monday, paid for the top of the range boiler on Friday and the lads arrived on the Monday and removed the 20+ year old boiler and moved the new boiler to it's new home under the staircase, freeing up vital room in the bathroom for a shower, once the previous work has been completed. It was mostly done in a day, with the only problem being our house is so old, that there was 4ft thick walls to drill through, which took a lot longer than they expected. I would happily recommend First Point Plumbing to anyone, as the service has been exemplary.

Can't recommend this company highly enough. Ben explained all the options to me and explained what work was required to complete the job. He completed a full service, changing seals and igniter, all for a very fair price. He also followed up with a text to make sure everything was okay and that he would diarise when the next service is due in 12 months to remind us. 10/10

Ben recently removed an old gas fire and back boiler and installed a new gas heating system for me. He came round to see what needed doing, provided me with a quote and arranged a time to do the work. Communication was really good and he was always on time. He did a fantastic job and I would highly recommend him. One of the most professional tradespeople I have ever used.

I cannot recommend these people highly enough. After a consultation and quote from the manager, Dan, the team came a few days later and removed, under very difficult circumstances, an old Rayburn-fired gas central heating system and replaced it with a modern Combi-boiler. I was very impressed with all the lads and their level of expertise and professionalism and lack of fuss or mess. Well done to all concerned!!

Albert was recommended to me through a friend. He fitted 7 internal doors over 2 days. His work was of a very good quality and the price was spot on. He also cleaned up as he was working which isn't always the case when having work done. I will definitely use Albert again in the future.

Albert has been absolutely fantastic in the service he has provided. We have had all external windows, doors and patio doors mastic’d. Two broken extractor fans replaced, a set of patio doors readjusted and a new lock, fitted new blinds and a new shower screen. Albert is a perfectionist and his work is always completed to a very high standard. What a lovely man! Thank you Albert, we have found the perfect handyman for any future work 😊

Albert from Dr. House Handyman did an outstanding job painting the exterior of my home. His attention to detail, professionalism, and efficiency truly exceeded my expectations. A lovely pub to stop after a walk in the peaks. The food was lovely and the staff were nice. We spent just over 60 quid for 2 mains, deserts, coffee and beers. We had the sausage and mash which was lovely and the veggie Sunday roast. We would definitely recommend both again. For dessert the poached pear was our favourite and the lemon tart came in a close second. The only minor comment is the beer came with a huge head but no big deal! I would definitely come back again. It's also dog friendly.

What a fantastic meal in this gorgeous pub. The staff were SO friendly without being overbearing and the whole vibe super authentic and relaxed. The food was SENSATIONAL, we could not have asked for a better meal. The only disappointment is that we haven’t come across it sooner, we will be back!

Went here for a meal with 11 other people. We had preordered food and had great service from start to finish. Very professional booking system and great to be able to pay separately. Food was excellent, very tasty and very filling, it all had that home made feeling. We all enjoyed the food and great service. Lovely pint of Jaipur. Will definitely look to return.

Called JLH after a leak in my boiler when I came home from work. Having rang my regular plumber who was unable to help and a what can only be called a charlatan who wanted £200 call out before seeing the problem, I came across JLH - and I'm so glad I did. On the phone they were friendly and professional, and managed to work out the problem almost instantly! They came out first thing in the morning, messaging to let me know they were on the way just after 8am. James had the part required to hand and he was extremely knowledgeable, efficient and helpful. No large call out fees, just a reasonable charge for the part and the labour. Would absolutely recommend.

Noton replaced our gas boiler and upgraded three rads in one day, just before the snow came. Friendly, polite, reliable, efficient, competent and tidy service from Tom and the team and very pragmatic advice....and the same price as the online faceless companies but with more flexibility. Much rather give our money to a local firm to keep for this sort of job than have the big firms cream off their percentage.

Our oil fired boiler had stopped working after being away for a few days. After initial contact I had a callback during which they were able to direct me to getting the boiler working again. No callout needed and they followed up via text with a few other things to check. Very impressed!

Fantastic family company - their work is spot on, they are completely reliable, very friendly and always willing to help out if you have a problem or are worried about something. The other day we smelled oil in the cellar and they came round super promptly to check everything out. Thankfully nothing wrong with our tank or boiler so they suggested we check with our neighbours, and sure enough they had a leak. I recommend them to everyone!

We hired Amanda for our Wedding in May 2024 as a wedding coordinator, and by far was probably the best decision we made during our planning. I honestly don’t know how our wedding would have taken place on the day without Amanda. Amanda set up all our props for our Wedding the day before / morning of, and then coordinated our day. Amanda really went above and beyond throughout the day, keeping the day on track and making sure it aligned to mine and my husband wishes. We recently got married at Old Gore Barn in the cotswolds, and Amanda, our wedding stylist, was an absolute dream! I honestly can’t recommend her more if you are looking for a wedding stylist. She was always available, promptly assisting us with any questions or concerns we had. She had a cool, calm, and collected vibe that made us feel at ease during the entire planning process, and we knew we could trust her entirely with brining our vision to life. She had incredible suggestions for our day of how we could include our own sourced decor with her own collection and she just went above and beyond to think about every little detail of styling for the venue. On the big day, we were truly blown away with the attention to detail and scale that Amanda was able to achieve with a tight set up time. We had our guests and other suppliers commenting what an amazing job she had done and what a genuinely gorgeous person she is to work with. If you're getting married and are considering a wedding stylist, my one suggestion is to book Amanda while you can ! Amanda is so talented and incredible at what she does. Where do I even start with this incredible human?! Amanda is the kindest, most creative and inspirational wedding planner, stylist and coordinator. We were lucky enough to have Amanda involved in every aspect of our wedding and we are so thankful for her guidance and support. From our first initial emails, consultation meeting, final meetings and numerous messages (from me!), Amanda was nothing but helpful and supportive. On the day, it was a joy to have Amanda join my bridal prep in the morning, brining a sense of calm, style and humour. She ensured everything was on track and ensured that I was happy and prepared for when we moved to the venue. During the day, we had countless compliments about Amanda's efficiency and how friendly she was. Everything ran like clockwork, with no issues, and I am certain this was due to Superwoman Amanda. She also helped us to achieve the perfect champagne spray photo! The styling... Words fail me. Amanda took our ideas and colours and made it so much more. During our final design meeting, Amanda made detailed notes and offered suggestions for how to syle our venue. We were so confident in her abilities, we encouraged Amanda to do what she does best, and she did! Amanda created the classiest, cosiest, most elegant autumn vibes you could ever imagine. Our photographer, who had worked at the venue numerous other times, said it was the most beautiful she had ever seen it. I truly cannot recommend Amanda enough. She has a heart of gold and I feel so privaledge to have worked with such a creative and inspiring person. Where to begin! Amanda really is one in a million. She helped plan our wedding and I don’t know what we would have done without her. Not only is she incredibly good at what she does and thinks of everything she is also a wonderful person. She’s calm, intuitive, supportive and thoughtful all whilst being amazingly efficient. From zoom calls to site visits to being on site days before the wedding, she goes above and beyond to make sure everything looks and runs as best as it can. Having Amanda was one of the best decisions we made - we couldn’t recommend her more and are so grateful for everything she did and helped us with.

We recently had some work done at our first home and got several quotes from different plumbers. We chose this team because of their quick response and excellent reviews, and they didn’t disappoint. Everyone had a great attitude, and when we noticed a small radiator leak, they returned promptly the next day to fix it at no extra cost. They completely redid our bathroom, installed three radiators, replaced the stop tap, and fitted two outdoor hot/cold taps. A great group of lads—honest, reliable, and competitively priced. Always find a prompt response from 247 plumbers. Called for a landlords gas check and was completed the same day. Have used them for all things plumbing related from fixing low boiler pressure to complete bathroom fitting and they’re always great to deal with and reasonably priced!
