Verve is a fantastic salon in Matlock. I have been getting my hair cut and coloured by Sam for 10 years and am always super happy after every visit! His colour is particularly amazing and he is also really lovely and fun to have a chat with.

Honest, reliable, knowledgeable, and fair pricing. Overall, the best electrician I've ever used, and I've been developing properties for over 30 years. Too often these days, when we look for tradesmen and women, questions are instantly raised as to whether we can trust the person to quote, turn up on time and complete the work at a fair price. Questions surrounding a person's experience, knowledge, and qualifications are often put further down the list, owing to our prior bad experiences! I can happily state that TC Electrical is the complete package. I've recommended them to do work for several of my own clients, and the positive feedback has always been consistent. From larger, more complex rewires to smaller electrican solutions, the team provide a full range of services. I wish them well in the future! Tradesmen as they should be!

John is good to deal with. Prompt to reply, turns up, does a good job and is very reasonable. Would recommend for any electrical work. He did underfloor heating, mains cabling, socket and light installations for us. Never let us down.

From first enquiring about solar and our options regarding maximising the power/batteries etc, the team were excellent. There is no pressure at all and they even advised against extra panels as it would not give a benefit, other companies would sell you anything to increase the prices but Smart Homes don't. The work they did was outstanding and very considered in terms of dust generation and mess (hardly any mess at all but they asked if we could move our washing in just in case of any dust). The explanations and walkthrough about the system with the team once installed was again well considered. The communication either via phone or email is fast and they are happy to talk about anything to ensure your happy with your system. The installation team themselves are great, polite, helpful, courteous and friendly. I highly recommend them to anyone looking at getting a solar system.

We would highly recommend Smart Homes Electrical. The installation of our solar panels was completed efficiently and quickly, the guys who did the job were a pleasure to have around our home and the internal work was completed with the absolute minimum of disruption. I cannot commend Smart Homes Electrical highly enough. In September '24 we were entirely new to the photovoltaic world. I sent an exploratory email to Tom Mastin and by return was informed that Will Chamberlain, their sales and support engineer was going to be in contact. We went through the various options with Will's knowledgeable help. Will designed the specifics of our proposed system and Ben, Jack and Tom installed the new system on a steep roof in Matlock over 3 days. The team was superb down to each individual; as a company they do what they state in their literature. They did a great job and the system is already delivering. The Tesla Powerwall 3 (battery and inverter) and the associated app are something to behold. I'm very impressed and recommend Smart Homes Electrical with pleasure and without reservation.

The team worked hard installing our solar /battery system despite the freezing temperatures in December and January. They were a friendly team and customer focussed. We would gladly have them back on site. The system is working well and generating some reasonable kwh so we should meet our proposed savings plan!

Honestly brilliant service, Sam really knows what she is doing. I paid a huge amount more at a competitors and my lashes just fell off. She spends so much time and effort getting it right every time. She is very booked up so you will need an appointment WELL in advance. She is however worth the wait. Excellent! I have trusted her with my lashes now for around 3-4 months. Next is electrolysis so I will post again when I have seen results. It will be well in the future as it can take 1.5 yes to get rid of.

I rang Sam on a mid-morning weekday, worried because we’d lost power to several of our rooms, and I couldn’t figure out why. He talked the problem through, suggested some diagnostic tests I could do myself, and assured me that he’d come around at lunchtime, just a couple of hours later. He turned up as promised, set to work efficiently, and soon identified the problem (a faulty RCD switch in the electrical panel). He explained that he would have to go and get a replacement, and would be back at the end of the day, after he had completed some other scheduled jobs. He was – again – as good as his word, and he reappeared not long after 1730. It didn’t take him long to replace the faulty part … and power was fully restored. Problem solved. Sam is a friendly, efficient and responsible individual, and I would have no hesitation in asking him to tackle any other electrical issues we might have in the future. Very happy to recommend.

I had a wash and blow dry booked in with Chris - it was such a relaxing and positive atmosphere, Chris was so attentive and listened to my thoughts about styling my hair, as well as giving me suggestions and tips on how to style my hair in the future. Went to try this hair salon with high hopes but was left underwhelmed. Loved the friendly customer service from the moment I first walked in and the nice touch of being offered sparkling water while waiting for my stylist. The stylist was very friendly too and good at understanding and being able to execute the desired result I wanted. However the reason why I only gave 4 stars and not 5, is it felt like I was being squeezed into a tight time slot and the service felt a bit rushed, and a bit lacking. I was not offered to have my hair styled at the end, which I’ve grown to expect from many other stylists of a similar price point as a complimentary part of the service. The stylist who did my hair dried it in a way that didn’t feel like a professional technique, just wafting the hair dryer around, not using a brush, so I didn’t even get the volume from a nice professionally done blow dry. Left with hair that just fell flat rather than having that special “fresh from the hair salon” feeling. In my opinion when you’re paying for a professional to do your hair, you would want to walk out having it look a bit better than any other day. If anything I feel like I have a better hair drying technique at home. For this reason, I doubt I would go back.

What a team !!! Moved to Matlock a few months ago and needed a fabulous hairdressers . O wow was I lucky when I found Aspire !! Ashley is so welcoming. Gracie is amazing and has worked magic on my hair . Always wanted low lights but afraid it would be half way hell . O no definitely not in Gracie’s magical hands 🤩 so glad I found this beautiful warm amazing creative team . Can’t recommend them enough .
