Really good experience. It was great to find a well established company that was not only prepared to take on a small bespoke job, but did quality work and was also reasonably priced. They treated us, and the job, with respect and professionalism. The job itself was building a bespoke hallway cupboard which they did really nicely. It looks great and fits perfectly in the space.

Richard and his team were great when we called them up to repair some rotting timbers on our 400yr old cottage! They took everything on their stride and kept us informed every step. They were clean and tidy, and completed the job on time and budget. Richard also returned at short notice a few weeks later when we found another very rotten timber. All work was carried out to an exceptional standard and blends in with the original wall perfectly. Highly recommended, and worth waiting for.

I woul love to give 20 stars if I could. I need transform my Mercdes sprinter into a mobile beauty salon and Paul did a amazing job. It was a big risk for me putting my big project in someone hands and I knew It was his first job converting a van. He exceed my expectations. When I was not sure about things, he alwyas end up coming with ideas. He is very honesty, hard working, perfectionist and efficient. You would not be disappointed by choosing him.

Paul did an amazing job and exceeded my expectations in every way. What I thought was going to be a simple job turned out to have multiple hiccups along the way but Paul had a solution every time and made sure that anything we needed to do didn’t compromise on the end result and finish. Paul tidied at the end of each day and left the area so tidy you would barely have known he’d been here! He gave me a very fair price for the job. I can’t recommend Paul enough.

Paul did 3 jobs for us - installing a wardrobe, wall to wall office desk and media shelving. Work quality is high, very polite, hard-working and good value. Would definitely recommend.

Pawel went above and beyond while building our gorgeous alcove cupboards and shelves. He was thoughtful, kind and very hardworking, tidying up at the end of everyday and working around our crazy schedule of juggling house renovations with a 6 month old baby. Could not recommend him enough.

Marcio did an amazing job creating high quality storage in our loft. As you can see in the before and after photos they look great. He often went above and beyond to make the finish a very high standard. I would highly recommend.

Marcio and his dad did an extraordinary job at our property, building and fitting two big wardrobes to perfection! From the very start, when Marcio first came round for a site visit, he was knowledgeable, professional and very communicative. His quote followed shortly, and then the works started and finished without any delays. The quality of craftmanship is stunning, we couldn't have asked for anything better than this! We had a fantastic experience with Marcio and his team! It is rare to come across a company that is highly skilled, reliable, and trustworthy. They built and fitted new wardrobes, custom-made 2 alcove bookcases and several shelving units, repaired the staircase and built custom-made under-stairs storage. Moreover, their painter repaired internal walls and painted the entire house, he did an amazing job as well. I'm so glad we went for this company - they are perfectionists and their work is done to a very high standard. What I really appreciate is that they go above and beyond and communicate with you throughout the process: They send photos with updates, they ask questions to make sure they do the job exactly how you want it to be done, and they are thinking outside the box when something gets tricky. On top of that, they are reasonably priced and will suggest the most affordable option for you whenever possible. The moment you employ them they are on the ball, no chasing from our side ever. They are also super lovely to deal with, even our neighbours mentioned that everyone was very polite and quiet. I wouldn't hire anyone else for carpentry or decorating work. Marcio and his father-in-law did a fantastic job putting in some wardrobes in two rooms and flexible hanging/shelves in my converted attic walk-in wardrobe. The finished products look lovely and they built most of it off-site, so only entailed 3.5 days of disruption at home. They are nice guys and tidy workers, leaving the place immaculate each evening. I would definitely recommend them.

Well what can I say about Harry and the How To Cut Limited team. They are true professionals and amazing at their job. Always willing to find a solution to get the job done which for us is very important. The work they turn out is to a very, very high standard, on time and on budget. We contracted Harry to build a new roof and install new floors for an extension we were having built on our house and I have nothing but good to say about him and his company. The work was simply exceptional, outstanding quality and nothing was a problem. If ever plans had to be tweaked Harry simply worked with the change and made proactive suggestions as to how to make things better. He was respectful and considerate, cleaning up at the end of every day and ensuring my house was secure if he left before I returned in an evening. Harry and his assistant Fred, always arrived on time, and worked long days to ensure everything was completed on deadline. I can whole heartedly recommend HL Thomson Carpentry and will certainly be using them again in the future.

Refurbishment of existing staircase and galleried landing in early 2024. Works comprised the removal of existing wrought iron balustrades, handrails and nosings and replacing with solid oak handrail, spindles, nosings and baserails. The existing newel posts and staircase strings were retained and clad in oak veneered boarding. The soffit of the top flight of stairs was similarly clad. Finally, new oak veneered treads and risers were installed to the existing staircase. The overall result has completely transformed the hallway and double height reception area and we’re exceptionally pleased with the end result. Harry was very professional and tidy throughout the project. His communication skills and time keeping were exemplary. His workmanship was of the highest quality. Nothing was too much problem. Highly recommended!

If I were to describe Tom’s approach to my home renovations I would describe him as inclusive, having great communication skills, proactive, (particularly important when as is often the case, a couple of unpredicted issues arose), approachable & open to discussing options when needed & incredibly professional. The standard of work was high & the finish is faultless. My kitchen was not entirely standard off the shelf construction, but was finished beautifully. I would have no hesitation asking Tom to carry out work on my home in the future or recommending him to others. It can be a daunting prospect embarking on a build but I was confident with the choice I made & had no misgivings at any stage. Tom is a gem!!

We would highly recommend Tom and his team who did an amazing job on our kitchen project, which included ripping out our old kitchen, laying new flooring through the whole of the downstairs and converting the cupboard under the stairs into a dog house. Tom remained true to his quote and was very reliable and trustworthy. He kept us updated regularly and realistically worked with us on our vision. We have future projects and Tom will be our first port of call.

Tom was first recommended to us by a local kitchen company as one of their best carpenters. He fitted our new kitchen which looked fantastic. Tom then laid a new wooden floor throughout the dining and sitting rooms. Once again all laid with precision. Tom has come back this year to put in a new kitchen worktop and prep, screed, and lay kitchen floor plus fit new skirting boards. Tom is a very personable young man works extremely hard and we will use Tom every time.

Tom and his guys were superb for us. Great communication and always on top of things. Real professionals but also very personable. We are so pleased with everything Tom has done in our home. Tom has now led the refurbishment of our kitchen, diner, hallway, utility, downstairs shower room, main bedroom, en-suite and family bathroom. There’s never any nonsense and we enjoy having him around. We tried someone else when Tom wasn’t available and got badly burned. We can’t wait to work with him on our next round! Las completely fixed and restored our wooden bay windows and installed our wooden garage doors. His craftsmanship is excellent plus he got all the jobs finished exactly on time - as he said he would. Really pleased with all the work.

We asked Laszlo to repair our windowsill, repaint front of the house and clean pvc. We’d never used him before but decided to after seeing the good reviews. He first came round to visit the house to discuss the plan. I liked his attitude and clarity. He then came back in a few weeks when he was next free. True to his word he took 2 days to complete the job. It was done to a very high quality standard, we’re really pleased with his work. It was also a reasonable price. Very personable and good communication. So satisfying when you find a carpenter / handyman who you can trust. Will definitely use Laszlos services in the future. 5 stars. Thanks!

Laszlo installed new engineered wood flooring, releveled floor in one room, changed skirting boards and installed new doors for us. He did a great job, especially with the bay window and considering all doors needed adjusting due to the age of the building. Laszlo is on time, polite and tidy! He takes great care and pride in his work and we will use him again in future!

I haven't written a review online in a long time, but after using Woodology, I thought I'd take some time out to comment on my experience using them. We have recently moved into a new build property and had new carpets fitted, but the fitters took all our doors off and couldn't put them back on as there wasn't enough clearance once installed. Moving in that weekend, I was desperate for a carpenter to ease my doors. I found Woodology online and called them up and by sheer luck, they were available that same afternoon! When they arrived, they were very polite and professional. Just really nice down to earth chaps. They were tidy, well mannered and they were clearly highly skilled as their workmanship was first class! They did an excellent job in next to no time at all. I couldn't recommend them highly enough. In fact, I have some units that I would like bespokley made, so I will be back in touch soon.

Very happy with the work Louis and his Woodology team carried out. They completed a professional demolition of an old rotten shed, disposed of and rebuilt a new one, all in less than a week! We are absolutely thrilled with the bespoke wardrobe that Louis and his team built for us in a challenging space with many angles. The transformation of the room is remarkable, and we couldn’t be happier. Louis is incredibly easy to work with; nothing is too much trouble for him, and his communication skills are excellent, which is quite rare these days! He was always punctual, and the quality of the work is outstanding. We have no hesitation in recommending Woodology and are already planning to use Louis’ services for our next project, wood decking in the garden.

Ryan was recommended to us, and he certainly lived up to that recommendation. There were 6 of us in the block and he completed all the new fire door installations very efficiently, with patience and friendliness. He gave us good advice re requirements and kept in touch during the whole process of ordering right through to installation. Thoroughly recommend Ryan.

Ryan and Lewis recently fitted my new kitchen. It was very easy to liaise with them and they were responsive to requests throughout, making helpful suggestions and coordinating the other trades as work progressed. The attention to detail was impressive and this shows in the final result. I am very happy with the work and would definitely use Orchard Carpentry again should the need arise.

Ryan and Lewis did a fantastic job installing two new interior doors, adjusting four others, and adjusting, draughtproofing and installing a new lock on the front door. Ryan has a great reputation and is in high-demand, so lead times before work starts can be long. However, once the team starts work they are tidy and efficient and the work is high quality. We had one follow-up issue with the front door being too tight, and Ryan returned to fix the problem within two days of contact. Overall fantastic service and highly recommend.

I asked Ryan to install a shed, what he did was above and beyond the call of duty, he removed two tons of soil and a load of other trash. Installed a perfect shed on an imperfect base, negotiated wonderfully with a tenant and project managed a waste collection job. Honestly I should have paid him more. He’s brilliant.
