Went in for the first time and was met with Dominik and Jacob, both absolute sweethearts. Dominik was phenomenal, he was kind and patient when explaining what hairstyle would suit me best - exactly what you want from your hairdresser. I have short hair and usually it's hard to get right, but he made it look fantastic!! Couldn't be happier, I'm happy to see a hairdresser who cuts your hair with so much detail, like they're cutting their own. Jacob was a sweetheart as well, he washed my hair delicately and we had a great chat. Looking forward to coming back and seeing these two!

I had my first appointment with Jennifer for a bikini wax and Jennifer was really great and very friendly. I was nervous and she put me at ease. However I thought a little more could’ve been removed and I put all of this on an another review and she called me and asked me if I wanted to come back and have what I wanted removed. Lovely experience with Sam! When I arrived, my roots were overgrown and hair badly damaged from bleach. He patiently listened to my request and improved on it. He explained what he was doing throughout the whole process and even offered me tips to style my wavy hair which no other hairdresser has done before. He gave honest suggestions on the tone of hair colour to go for which best suited my skin tone. Overall I am super happy with the results and have come to love my natural wavy hair more. I will definitely be returning :)

Just got a haircut from Kenny Chan, and oh my, IS HE TALENTED!!! I entered the premises with a bit of a mess of a haircut that I didn’t think was fixable. But came out with just such beautifully done hair that falls naturally and requires little to no maintenance. I couldn’t be happier with my hair! Kenny was also so lovely and welcoming. He made me feel very comfortable. He has a really nice, warm and calm energy to be around. While there are many talented hairdressers in Manchester, I’m starting to think that Asian hair is often best cared for by Asian hairdressers because this is the happiest I’ve been with my hair since moving to the UK in 2019. Also, it is worth mentioning that everyone I interacted with at the salon was lovely! Really enjoyed my hair wash from a lovely lady (I’m sorry I didn’t get the name) and the receptionist’s (Jacqueline’s) humor. Really grateful to have stumbled upon Kenny and Chrisalon today! I have nothing but praises! 🙌🙌🙌

All the staff seem really nice and genuinely care about the customers getting the best service! I was fortunate enough to get a less minute appointment and was seen by Sebastian who always makes my experience so genuinely enjoyable! Super friendly, nice and attentive. It’s rare to find someone that knows how to cut curls and puts 100% effort in which makes all the difference, so thank you again! I booked this salon whilst I was abroad, as it continuously came up as one of the top salons in Manchester. I also could see they catered to all hair types, which was a big deal for me. I was extremely pleased with how my hair turned out and how friendly the people were. Highly recommended.

I have been coming to this salon for years and can’t recommend them enough. I have particularly difficult thick hair and always leave happy. Laura is my usual stylist and she is always friendly and discusses my ideas, she advises me of realistic outcomes and if a certain colour is not achievable in one sitting she warns me of this so I’m never disappointed. I trust her 100% and would never go anywhere else.

I’ve been coming to this salon for 10 years now and can’t rate them highly enough. Ashley does my hair and is fantastic. Last month I was fortunate enough to have Melissa do my hair, who provided a great service colouring my hair and I couldn’t have been more pleased with it. I have been coming to Salon 51 since it first opened. It’s always been a very friendly experience, so much so that the whole family now use the salon today. Dionne has been cutting my (gents) hair for most of that time and I would thoroughly recommend her and the other girls who have looked after me over the years. Dionne has always been able to find appointments that are compatible with my busy diary and nothing has ever been too much trouble.
