I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to The Hair Studio. Tasha was so attentive and is very experienced with hairdressing! My natural Afro hair was in a bad state when I visited the salon (tangled and thirsty) but after adding some tailor made treatment to my hair, trimming and blow drying, it was shiny and bouncy. I can’t wait for my next appointment. I also got some great hair care tips! Thank you so much!

Tasha is a very talented, skillful and dedicated hairdresser. She is very professional, enigmatic,friendly and so engaging. Going to Tasha's is an experience to enjoy in itself..I think she is a pillar in our community and will be visiting her soon, I hope ! This is where I will be going to get my hair done from now on! I had an initial chat with Natasha just while was on Hulme high st and then booked an appointment - so glad I did! Was really happy with my hair at the end and not just that some of the tips Natasha have me for ongoing care! Can't praise her enough believe me this lady knows her stuff! My hair is probably of the thickest and curliest type and I have always struggled with it (and more fool me had only been going to barbers rather than a proper hair studio) and so to have found someone who can deal with my hair is a godsend! It was also good chatting to Natasha as she was working it just made the whole experience great! I will definitely be recommending her to friends and going back regularly myself! So glad I've found this place 🙌🏿👏🏿

Went in for the first time and was met with Dominik and Jacob, both absolute sweethearts. Dominik was phenomenal, he was kind and patient when explaining what hairstyle would suit me best - exactly what you want from your hairdresser. I have short hair and usually it's hard to get right, but he made it look fantastic!! Couldn't be happier, I'm happy to see a hairdresser who cuts your hair with so much detail, like they're cutting their own. Jacob was a sweetheart as well, he washed my hair delicately and we had a great chat. Looking forward to coming back and seeing these two!

Had a wonderful experience in my colouring session. I went there for my appointment with my baby, they gave me a private quite room so that me and my baby had privacy during the whole session. The lady dasty who did my hair colour was a very wonderful lady, did exactly the same colour which I showed her in the picture. All the staffs including the honour were very nice and warm. They all made sure that I dont face any problem with my baby. I highly recommend the salon because of their good work and behaviour. Cant be happy enough!! Keep up the good work team!

Lovely salon. I'd been looking for a salon specialising in short, curly hair post chemotherapy. Victoria always asks how I am managing my hairstyle and explains how she is going to cut it before proceeding with the haircut. She then shows how to style it at the end. The stylists here wash your hair, colour it and cut it so you have 1 person looking after you from start to finish. The mints with the coffee are also lovely! This place has been a great find! 08/09 Another precision cut again today. Such beautiful shaping - I particularly love the back. Thank you Victoria! 15/02 I am still thrilled with my hair. I decided to go curly just before Christmas and Victoria listened to my requirements and did a fabulous job yet again. I am really looking forward to my next visit to the salon. Thank you Victoria 04/02/25 Jo is now styling my hair as Victoria is currently taking a gap year. He has cut my hair a couple of times and I have been very pleased with the results. Jo is really personable and easy to chat to. He always checks that I'm happy with the cut and whether there is anything I'd like him to tweak. I'm just back from Melissa Timperley. Read my review here. My visit to the salon is always such a lovely experience. The staff are all lovely and the atmosphere is so relaxing. My last two visits I had my hair cut and coloured by Hamish… an absolute genius with the scissors! I have never seen anyone cut a fringe like he does. I always leave the salon loving my cut and colour when Hamish has done it. He fully takes the time to listen to exactly what i want and takes it step by step to keep checking that im happy with the progress. I really appreciate that he spends time with my fringe to get it just right as not many people have done it exactly how i want it…. extremely talented Stylist! Julee

This was my first time at Melissa Timperly, and my stylist Megan was brilliant. She was so lovely to chat with and did an outstanding job with my hair. I hadn’t had my hair coloured in years, and I wanted something that would be easy to maintain and blend naturally with my own colour, and she was spot on. I also went for a big change with a much shorter cut. I’m always a bit nervous about finding the right hairdresser because my hair has a mix of curl textures, but Megan handled them beautifully. I’m thrilled with my new cut and colour—absolutely loving it! I’ll definitely be coming back here for my next haircut. Thanks Megan!

I would highly recommend Tilly. I’ve had my hair cut twice somewhere else a couple of weeks ago and it really didn’t suit me. Tilly was recommended by a good friend so I booked in for a cut in the hope she could fix the bowl/ mullet cut I had. Just by looking at my face shape, Tilly instantly suggested exactly what I wanted and before it was washed I knew I was in safe hands. She was also really nice to speak with, just all in all I’m super happy with my cut and super happy with the whole experience, I’ve finally found my forever hairdresser! Also, the salon is really nice, all the staff are super friendly and warm and welcoming, they use beautiful products and everything was just spot on. Looking forward to my next visit!

I had three tattoos from Georgia today and the quality is really good. Georgia was lovely, friendly and I felt completely comfortable throughout the session. I would highly recommend booking a tattoo at Shallows. I will definitely be going back in the future! Plus, the music was top tier!

Couldn’t recommend this special salon enough 🌟The lovely Rachel did an amazing job on my nails ; completely transformed them and I couldn’t be happier with the results❤️ The staff are so friendly from the second you arrive and make you feel at ease. There is something at shallows for everybody from piercings / tattoos , hair , nails , even tooth gems; all at such great prices. I have had 2 sessions of microneedling now with the lovely Mel @sorceress_beautyx and could not be happier! Mel has a way of making you feel instantly comfortable and at home, so happy i found her and my skin has genuinely never looked better. She makes you feel so cared for and is the complete opposite to a commercial salon experience. I have been non-stop raving about this place, such a great atmosphere and everyone is so friendly!

I’ve been getting my hair cut by Nick at Taban Studio for nearly 10 years, and he consistently delivers exceptional results. His attention to detail and commitment to perfection make the slightly higher cost well worth it compared to barbers across the road. I have been going to Avesta for the last year and been getting my hair done by Andrew!! Everyone at the salon is lovely but Andrew has been great with my hair and keeping it healthy - couldn’t highly recommend him enough!! Recently I’ve also decided to go on the hair extension journey and he was so helpful throughout and helping me book last min, order + honest opinions with colours and types on my own hair. Had the best first experience at Norah’s. I opted for a balayage and the results were amazing!
