Found this salon completely by accident while on Instagram! It’s the best thing that’s happened in a long time. I was nervous after a previous bad experience but once I was in the chair talking, Autumn made me feel so relaxed and confident also friendly and kind staff around at all times. My hair looked amazing in fact I received great comments even weeks afterwards. So I’m back now every 6 weeks and I really look forward to being in the salon. My adult also now books here because of my transformation and she is over the moon with her new colours. Thank you to all

What amazing nails as always, Lorraine 😍. The staff here are second to none they treat you like family from the moment you walk in to the minute you leave. I've be having my hair coloured and cut by Debs for around 15yrs always happy with how she looks after my hair. My daughter also uses this salon plus my mother. Lovely friendly atmosphere. They keep upto date with hair style, colour and cuts. Seen some amazing hairstyle walking out of there .

It was my first time getting my hair done at Cutting Time. What beautiful, warm and friendly women Cathy and Debs are! It was so relaxing and had a great laugh. I had had two bad experiences at other hairdressers previously where I came out unhappy with my hair as it wasn’t what I asked for. Cathy listened and did better than I hoped for! My hair looks amazing she did such a fantastic job and I was so surprised at the price! I had previously paid a lot more for my hair and it wasn’t as half a good a job than Cathy did. I booked my next appointment and look forward to seeing them again soon :)

Definitely 5 stars. Lillian can work wonders with your hair, I would just like to say how absolutely amazing this lady is. My confidence has restored massively after being diagnosed with Alopecia and couldnt bare to look in the mirror at my hair, it was so upsetting. NOW i can't stop looking in the mirror .. 😄 I love my appointments as we always have such a great laugh, such a friendly atmosphere, I would NEVER go anywhere else. I recently had my first hair appointment with Hands on Hair. On entering the salon, Lillian greeted me with a happy, smiling face and a very warm welcome. On this occasion, I only had a dry trim, just to tidy the ends, which Lillian did. I have to say, it is the best trim I have had in a long time and my hair feels so much better. I will definitely be booking with Lillian again, for a wash, cut and blow, hopefully in the New Year. Lillian made me feel so relaxed. I would definitely recommend her, 100%. Thank you Lillian.

Amazed at the service I received from Shaunah for my colour and cut. I’m usually quite anxious in these environments but she made me feel relaxed and at ease throughout the whole process. Knew exactly what would be right for my very outgrown hair and made it look fabulous without damaging it. Highly recommend her for all your hair needs!

Been in desperate need of a root touch up and Zara did not fail to impress. So happy with how bright and blonde the colour is after having so many brassy and yellow tones in it from past hairdressers. Very impressed and grateful that Zara was able to fix this! My hair is in such good condition thanks to Zara!

Stacey has looked after my hair for the last 4 years. She very knowledgeable regarding colours and treatments, I completely trust her and honestly, I’ve never left unhappy with the results . I have very naturally course curly hair but Stacey suggested the keratin treatment and it’s amazing . Stacey is friendly , welcoming and feels like an old friend. Friendly, welcoming, value for money. Took my daughter here for her first hair cut (2years old), they were so good with her, she smiled the whole time, felt comfortable & they did a really nice job too. Would 100% recommend.

I have been using Reflections2 since they opened and I wouldn't go elsewhere. I would trust any of the stylists with my hair as they all do a brilliant job. They go above and beyond to make sure each client is looking their best when they step outside the salon.

I've been going to Reflections for a good number of years now, and my first thought is the staff and how friendly they all are, a good team that. have work well together. However the quality of the colours and cuts I receive from Rachel and the girls are amazing. The girls are so accommodating as I have a busy life style and often have to change appointments, they're always keen to help and always manage to get me in. I wouldn't go anywhere else now, even after moving from the area, I still travel in to this salon two or three times a month.

I’ve had a men’s perm several times at this salon, all the staff are always professional and courteous - always listen to how I want it styled and always do a great job. Highly recommend!

I'm just back from Melissa Timperley. Read my review here. My visit to the salon is always such a lovely experience. The staff are all lovely and the atmosphere is so relaxing. My last two visits I had my hair cut and coloured by Hamish… an absolute genius with the scissors! I have never seen anyone cut a fringe like he does. I always leave the salon loving my cut and colour when Hamish has done it. He fully takes the time to listen to exactly what i want and takes it step by step to keep checking that im happy with the progress. I really appreciate that he spends time with my fringe to get it just right as not many people have done it exactly how i want it…. extremely talented Stylist! Julee

This was my first time at Melissa Timperly, and my stylist Megan was brilliant. She was so lovely to chat with and did an outstanding job with my hair. I hadn’t had my hair coloured in years, and I wanted something that would be easy to maintain and blend naturally with my own colour, and she was spot on. I also went for a big change with a much shorter cut. I’m always a bit nervous about finding the right hairdresser because my hair has a mix of curl textures, but Megan handled them beautifully. I’m thrilled with my new cut and colour—absolutely loving it! I’ll definitely be coming back here for my next haircut. Thanks Megan!

I’ve been a couple of times now and each time I’ve left feeling refreshed and can see the transformation versus me going in. It’s really relaxed and friendly and good to have a chat whilst being pampered. I’ve been to other salons in Altrincham and left feeling the opposite. My daughter also loved getting her hair done here, Natalie was perfect with her. Glad to have such a lovely place to go locally!

I’ve been to the salon a couple of times now. Natalie has been my stylist. Really nice and relaxed experience. Always happy with my hair. They also do beauty and make up but I haven’t used those services yet. Would highly recommend The Scissors Lounge for your hair and beauty.

Natalie very kindly offered to do a free correction on a poor cut my daughter received from a mobile hairdresser. Picture 1 and 2 is the original wonky cut done by dani of hair by dannii Ella mcr and dani rose hair, picture 2 and 3 are the corrected cut done by Natalie at The Scissor Lounge. There were apparently a lot of faults in the original cut not just the long piece on one side. Would definitely recommend The Scissor Lounge based upon my experience with them and the correction they delivered. Skilled hairdressers, a professional business.
